Hi! I don't think I'm qualified to give you an answer as I've never taken a psych entrance exam. Secondly, I think note making is very subjective. So, I'd suggest that you figure out what kind of a learner you are: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, social, solitary, etc. Because that'll help you know if you should make notes in point format, or in paragraphs or have lots of diagrams. Or maybe mix of both. Or read from a book and make notes or watch a youtube video on the topic and make notes. Maybe try different things out. :)

Firstly, I hope you're in therapy for depression and anxiety. I hope you are because studying psychology won't exactly help you to deal with it or treat it. You need skilled people for that. Also, if you want to be a psychologist/ therapist/counselor, it's very important to get therapy because while dealing with clients/patients you shouldn't feel anxious and/or too empathetic with them or get affected by them and/or their mental illness because of the mental illness you're dealing with right now. Secondly, if you're so keen about psychology, then go for it. After your law degree, as hardly one year is left, you can apply for BA. Don't let anything stop you. 😊

If mumbai University offers applied psychology in IDOL (which is the distance learning dept of Mumbai University) then you can. Same applies to social psychology. However, as far as I know Mumbai University doesn't offer applied psychology degree. But please check the website of the university, you'll get recent information.

You have to study about the brain and stats when you're studying to be a Psychologist. There's no way out. So you decide what's more important? Whether it's to continue to be and say you're bad at something or you want to be a Psychologist? What's important?

First, research on psychology. The college, the price, how much you will have to study, how many years you'll have to study.what you can do after getting bachelors, masters, etc. Research EVERYTHING (mostly on Google, cause youtube doesn't always have answers). And then talk to your dad. Make him sit and explain to him. You know your dad well. You can guess what questions he'll have. So already have the answers to that. I hope this helps.
Can we specialise for industrial psychology after taking BA psychology? Like I hope it's not like If I take BA psychology then I am going to close the options that I will get after BSC psychology?
Yes you can do industrial psych after BA. It depends on which masters is offered in universities. I don't think you block your options if you do BA. I feel as BA is more available you have more options for masters.
Doctor degree is the medical degree (I'm assuming that's the one you mean) you don't become a Psychologist/therapist/counsellor with an MBBS, MS, MD (which are doctor degrees) Every degree has a doctrate degree (which is PhD or PsyD) you don't necessarily need it. I have made a video WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A PSYCHOLOGY DEGREE. You can check that out to know what you have to study.
I would be highly obliged to u if u wld answer my this 1 question:- "Is there scope in psychology being in India?" :| Btw wante to say that ur soul is as beautiful as u❤keep glowing nd growing! God bless ya!
I want to know psychology and thinking about pursuing it but i dont want to treat patients. I also dont know whether i want to teach psychology. Am so stressed and bothered by this. What should i do in this case?
You can get into research after studying psychology. Or you can't just study Psychology because you enjoy it, you don't have to convert it into a career. Also, try not to over think and worry about how I will do this, what will I do, and such questions because we cannot answer them right now. How about you just focus on the now and what you feel like doing now and go do that now. Focus now on what makes you happy. Also, you can read psychology books but I feel they don't go in depth like the psych degree would.
@@WhatLiesBeneath Thanks for a thoughtful reply. I may sound stupid 😞 The need to earn out of psychology is arising because i dont know if i can rely on my husband financially. Oh am messed up.
Earning from psychology takes a while. You already have an engineering degree, don't you? Maybe that could be a way of your income. While psychology could be a place of haven for you. I'm glad you are aware of the societal conditioning, which means you don't have to adhere to it. It's your life and you make your own choices.
@@WhatLiesBeneath 🙂 Yes i have just started working 😃 Am the kind of person who ll worry and overthink if am making the right choices for me or not. Thats where my anxiety gets on me.
I'm not in masters degree right now so I can't answer this question. Also, every university have their different syllabus and course pattern. and it also depends on one's capabilities and what kind of a learner they are.
You didn't ask me about mbbs. You asked about MSc. So I answered accordingly. Although both psychiatry and Psychology are working in thr field of human mind but the work both of them do is obviously different. Research on it. And then decide which is better FOR YOU.

I made this video so that you can answer the questions yourself and decide if you should go Psychology or not. I cannot decide it for you!! You have to take the steering wheel in your hand and make a choice. Make a decision.
I'm answering assuming you're asking apply for a job in HR (human resource department) after you have either just a bachelor's in Psychology or a master's in I/O psych. You need to realize that we live in a world where getting a degree isn't enough. You need to show the organization your unique skill set and what you can bring to the work. I/O psych is useful, but not at all sufficient. People applying for the same job as you won't just apply with one bachelor's degree. They're going to have tons of knowledge of management, and economics, and idk other stuff that you study in bcom or bms. They'll also be skilled in presentations and confidence. You keep learning and adding skills to your resume.
Of course you can. You can shift from commerce stream to arts to pursue psychology, at least in Mumbai, that's the case. In other universities across the country, you need to inquire in the universities. 😁
You are the best di. ❤You never fail to inspire me.And you know what, when you said you are not here to spoonfeed, I could very well sense a psychologist in you bcz that's what a psychologist does; enabling us to think for ourselves ❤😊

Anddd also, is there any entrance exam or a specific minimum percentage required for admission in a psychology college?
How to study while studying from an open University? Like, books, any kind of video lectures, guides/professors, etc.
I'm going to make a video on this!! 🙂 Very very soon
My parents are forcing me not to change my stream from pcb to arts and they don't want me to study psychology idk what to do.And bsc is psychology in not available in indore even in India I guess
I'm in exact same condition. I'm from nagpur though!

Can I do M.Sc. in Psychology, my graduation was BCA(Distance Education).
You cannot do masters in a subject you have no bachelor's in. You need to have BSC in Psychology to do MSC in Psychology.
Thanks for watching 💜💜😁😁
@@WhatLiesBeneath Thanks a lot for such quick reply.

Just check IGNOU if they offer MSC in Psychology without a bachelor's degree.
@@WhatLiesBeneath I've checked today. It's possible! Sessions have started and admissions are on! Thanks a ton for your suggestion. 🤩
Is psychology from ignou worth it?
I want to know this too
I'm not really sure. But I wouldn't get a distance learning degree for Psychology. Psychology is a practical subject. So idk how they're conducting the practicals if there are any in their course. Soooo...
I wanna be a industrial psychologist
Nice!! If you want to know more about this career, you can hop on to my other video WHAT ALL YOU CAN DO WITH PSYCHOLOGY DEGREE?. But I guess you've already watched that video! 😅😝

Hello ma'am does psychology teaches palmistry as a subject??
I mean kya psychology me palmistry subject hai??
Coz one of my friend said it has and she has done it and when I researched about it I couldn't find any traces of that.
So can u plzz clarify does it include palmistry as a subject or not.... Plzz ma'am it's really urgent....
Palmistry, like astrology has no scientific backing. So it won't be taught in psychology.
Hi aditi..😄😄 can clinical psychologist give counselling...or only counseling psychologist give counselling..🤔
Clinical psychologist deals with people having mental illness, disorders and counsel them.
Counselling psychologist deals with the general public regarding relationships, stress, etc and counsel them.
Both counsel, but WHO they counsel is different.
Didi I have taken medical. Should I take psychology?? plzz tell will it help me to score marks??
If you're in medical school, I don't think a medical school has Psychology. You can do psychiatry after MBBS.

Can I do distance learning in applied psychology from Mumbai University?
And can I do social psychology in it as well?
If mumbai University offers applied psychology in IDOL (which is the distance learning dept of Mumbai University) then you can. Same applies to social psychology.
However, as far as I know Mumbai University doesn't offer applied psychology degree.
But please check the website of the university, you'll get recent information.
@@WhatLiesBeneath thank you..I'll surely look into that
Can we go to abroad for pursuing psychology , like Canada or somewhere , what's the scope ?
I think you can go
I think there’s more scope for psychology anyway
I am a 10 student and I want to be a psychologist but I am terrible at maths and science is it possible for me to be a psychologist without these subjects 😊

I'm assuming by school you mean a typical school which is till 10th or 12th std. Then I don't think it matters.

Do we need a doctor degree or a doctorate degree??
Doctor degree is the medical degree (I'm assuming that's the one you mean) you don't become a Psychologist/therapist/counsellor with an MBBS, MS, MD (which are doctor degrees)
Every degree has a doctrate degree (which is PhD or PsyD) you don't necessarily need it. I have made a video WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A PSYCHOLOGY DEGREE. You can check that out to know what you have to study.

I am linking pursuing psychology with generating income because i am gonna do psychology after marriage and i dont know if my husband will be economically abundant enough. I may sound stupid 😞 The need to earn out of psychology is arising because i dont know if i can rely on my husband financially. Oh am messed up.
@@WhatLiesBeneath Also our societal conditioning is to earn money or make money out of what you study, which is messing up things in my head you know.

Is M. A Psychology difficult for non-psychological students ?
I'm not in masters degree right now so I can't answer this question. Also, every university have their different syllabus and course pattern. and it also depends on one's capabilities and what kind of a learner they are.
Can i do M.sc then psychology? Like I've just completed my 10th soo.. can you please guide me
MSc in Psychology karo. You have to do MSc IN something. For that you have to do Bsc IN Psychology.
@@WhatLiesBeneath shouldn't i go for MBBS N MD in psychiatry? What according to you is better psychology or psychiatry?
You didn't ask me about mbbs. You asked about MSc. So I answered accordingly.
Although both psychiatry and Psychology are working in thr field of human mind but the work both of them do is obviously different. Research on it. And then decide which is better FOR YOU.

I have never done, nor am I pursuing BA hons. So i have no clue about it.
Can one apply for HR with a Psychology degree?
Please use a mic
👍🏻 thanks
Can a commerce student pursue any course in psychology after 12th ??
Of course you can. You can shift from commerce stream to arts to pursue psychology, at least in Mumbai, that's the case. In other universities across the country, you need to inquire in the universities. 😁
Which degrees you have
I have answered your question in the 2nd Q and A video.
After studying mbbs can I be a psychologist?
No.
Is taking up psychology too expensive? I am from a middle class Indian family very heart breaking :)
depends on the university you apply to. But for sure it takes a while till you start earning.
