Theres a ton of characters whose combos will only drop against Homelander. Playing him is damn near cheating until he’s patched. Don’t get me wrong I love Roethor, but he got a lot of free dropped combos on him just for being Homelander.
Yet no-one is picking homelander but him

watching Hodie eat those Lao armors broke my heart! Ermac can challenge those with f4 into hover and punish for full combo (although timing is hard) but his entire top 8 run was incredible. One of the best ermacs around

Well before the top 8 analysis i just wanted to say thank you R1ps for organizing the hottest tournaments ever and thank you Fabbz for being THE tournament voice it wouldnt be the same without you. Possible spoilers ahead. Match1: Lets see is it disarted's time? Very solid gaming from both, you can see they are about equal in skills so the match is decided by details. The baraka cyrax lands the finishing blow with the best fatality in the roster. Match2: Wow i thought Krytis was gonna do better he did start strong but moody sweefer dusted this into oblivion. I mean its moody so you expect that sometimes even in a top8 Match3:Hodie and Rinzler well i am not gonna say much, this score is going to have a repeat in the future. Match4: Roethor also sweeps Krytis. I REALLY did not expect that to happen twice i really have taken a liking to krytis and his solid gameplay but Roethor is smelling blood now. Match5:The answer to is it disarted's time....is apparently no. Hodie after a grueling match ended this on game 5 after a series of some of the most amazing gameplay you will see. Match6: Now Moody gets swept? This is getting weirder and weirder. Rinzler seems unstoppable today. Match6: Roethor no homelander for some reason. This is the battle of the sauce, roethor is doing his technoparty setups with portals and dancing skulls and hodie unleashes the ectoplasm left and right. You will see crazy combos, crazy conversions, clutch momments, this was my favorite match in this top 8, could very well be the finals. Congrats to both players. Match7: Its confirmed hodie is a saiyan, the more the fight goes on the stronger he gets. Another drawn out game 5 win by Hodie who by now i believe has captured the hearts of the entire audience and is the unofficial winner in people's hearts. Finals: Rinz vs Hodie. The 3-1 score from before repeats itself once more. Rinzler made some super super clutch comebacks and Hodie pushed him harder than ever. In the end Rinz was victorious in this savage top 8. Only in this arena you can get that much drama XD

Yeah, and it's funny that it was him (as I remember) who beat Moody 3-0 just recently to everyone's huge surprise, yet Rips seemed to have forgotten about that in the finals, ha :D
I was expecting more Reiko, but it's cool to see he can be just as relentless with other characters, too.
Rinzler is the most underrated player in the arena my boy gives kani a run for his money but still losses almost every prediction
