side note: it's a good thing that you're learning more about fm sound design; you mentioned that you learnt dual-tonal instruments in the desc, which honestly is kind of a surprise to me, though you design your own instruments so that makes sense dual-tonal insts give you more polyphony though to use them would take some thought, if you're comfortable with doing chord progs and harmonies then using them should be no problem

Sonic CD is shockingly the only classic sonic game I have never gotten to play and I may pick it up one day as I already love sonic CD just from the pixel art to the concept of the past, present and future signs.
