We don't make all calls. but often times these customers make 8 dollars an hour and stretch their funds. if we don't give them the option some wouldn't simply be able to afford it. That's just part of business. I'd love to build everything out of birch or at least Mdf but cost is everything in today's market.
Given you use the right airpsace no they will work and perform very well. It will give you an accurate bass response in general. Ported just tends to be louder and allows you to control the frequency range and get a +db boost in the area you tend to listen to the most.

I like that. I just used tongue in groove boards for the floor in my tahoe! And built my very first sub box for it as well. Videos on my page.

Not a fan of them in a sealed box myself but they do hit and sound clean in sealed enclosures. If given the room Id port it.
I would put them in box with passive radiators

I want to get me a box built for my to L7 15 for my Suburban truck who knows what size I should get
Look at audioenhancers they should have a good solution.
