Man I miss those days. Days when the excursion was the drive. Days when you went for a drive to listen to the music of the engine and enjoy some personal time alone just to clear your head.
Agree fella. There are allot of faster machines, electric machines, bling machines etc but none have the character of these oldies. My wish is a 1967 Mini Cooper S-take it over a Tesla any time.
when the only electronics was the AM radio. I learned to drive on a 1965 VW bus. my first car was a 1963 Karmann Ghia. always love the aircooled engine sound.
My only complaint was the constant valve adjustment....My Morris Minor didn't need. Both cars were much more fun than your Tesla. I used to drive the Morris home on leave from my ship in Charleston, SC to Syracuse, NY over 1100 miles.

A dashboard that never gets cracked.
And, even more important, one magnetic gadgets would stick to!
Brings back memories for me. Had a number of bugs and vans and loved them all.

Love those old bugs, my father had a black one in the early 60s.
Mine, too! And a blue one before that.
