My comment is that, I would never allow my small child to pet any strange dog, even if the owner said it was ok. Particularly with larger breed dogs and dogs that have a reputation like rottweilers and pit bull type and pit bull mixes, because of the simple fact of how powerful they are if they snap. This family is luck that more damage was not done to this child. I am so glad that this child was not severely injured. And I know from personal experience that those rabies shots are painful.
These dangerous breeds should be heavily regulated and possibly banned from public places . How many owners of these breeds have the dogs listed on their homeowners/renters insurance policies, I would guess less than 5% . Listing these dangerous breeds on your insurance policies leads to considerable premium rate increases or cancellation . There are definitely people (friends family) out there who know this dog owner went to the balloon festival and owns a gray pitbull. They don’t come forward confirming they are pure garbage
Should have taught the truth that all dogs are dangerous, especially pit bulls. You bought the lie that they are angels from heaven that love hugs and kisses and filled your child with these dangerous lies as well. Even if they don't attack, the worms, parasites and diseases should keep anyone far away from any dog's mouth.
They literally say they asked the owner if he could pet the dog and the owner said yes. 💀 In any case, if you choose to bring an aggressive/fearful/anxious dog to a busy festival full of people, you should be held responsible if it bites someone.

I was taught from a young age not to touch strange animals. The father said yeh go and ask. To a toddler 😂
