    Holy.crap. I’m just, in awe. Did you really just do that?! With a smile on your face? I’m just......😱. I think this might be your most impressive project to date. I know it’s not your grandest, but you did it by.yourself. on essentially a vlog (that looked GREAT 👍), and like freakin’ eyeballed the curves of your hardscape...........and they MATCHED! What just happened?! I just can’t even. Wow girl.

    • @Bamboo4U2
      @Bamboo4U2 5 лет назад

      No way. They'd decimate an entire plant in just one day. I'd stick to just giving them food scraps from the kitchen and now she has live composters who can eat all of her green waste (dead-headings from flowers, etc.).

    • @TexasMyTexas
      @TexasMyTexas 5 лет назад +1

      I didn’t mean to let the chickens in the bed.....to grow things that she could use in the coop. Like herbs and such that she could give to the chickens. 🤠

    • @Bamboo4U2
      @Bamboo4U2 5 лет назад

      @@TexasMyTexas I don't know. If you've been watching this channel long enough, you know Laura produces a LOT of green waste just from maintaining what she has now. I don't think she needs to grow anything just for them. When she swaps out all her containers from their winter plants for spring ones, she can give the chickens the winter plants. Know what I mean? Same thing when she gets rid of her summer annuals. Grass clippings, boxwood hedging, etc. This is going to be a heck of a lot easier than using a composting bin (or worse, filling up her dumpster with it).

    Even your coop/run is adorable. Question: what kind of vitamins do you take? Have to get some of that...….lol

    I was able to brick in a flower garden area and no cut any as well! Always nice when it works out that way.

    You worked so hard on that and the results are rewarding and awesome. I love the idea to extend the wood walkway. It adds so much whiskey to an otherwise ‘perfect’ garden. Awesome job. 🐓🌸🌻💕🐣

    All of a sudden today RUclips wants to play me all your videos featuring chickens and I LOVE it. We have just a small space around our home, enough for 3 raised beds and maybe someday a tiny greenhouse but if I could, I would get some chickens and a little chicken house. Since I dont have, can enjoy through watching yours. Thanks for sharing!

    This project looks amazing even with nothing planted in it! It’s cool to see the beginning process of making a flowerbed and I think once you plant it all up pretty it’ll look even better! I can’t wait to see the final product and I’m sure it’ll make your chickens very happy

    Beautiful Laura! That area is looking much better! Love the Mantis tiller! Bought one back in the 1980s and we loved it. Love what your doing around your chickens!

    Phew! That was a lot of work! Super impressed with all you accomplished and it looks incredible. It was pretty cute seeing a tiny bit of dirt on your face. I'd be covered from head to toe but you always look so immaculate. Another awesome video! Thank you, Laura!

    Your videos are SO therapeutic.. love the information n planning insights. I've always lived in cities n in rentals so never had a garden. This is my first spring with my own lil backyard.. n I've been working on a small flowerbed the past 3 weekends.. omg it felt like I bit off more than I could chew! Turns out the backyard has tons of rocks n BOULDERS underneath.. took us a weekend to dig up n get out the rocks n boulders from a 10x3 lil plot in front of my patio.. we filled the huge pits with top soil n then garden soil mixed with manure. I don't have a tiller n the endogenous soil seems pretty heavy.. esp since we've had a lot of rain. I've planted a few perrenials this weekend. They look fine as of now but I'm waiting n watching. I want to put in more flower beds but I guess I'm going to have to go with raised beds. If you read this please let me know if you have any advice for this novice!

    Watched this video this morning and I decided to do the same thing! I had a small (sad) flower bed in my front yard, found some brick in my garage, and made it bigger and now has a nice shape. Thank you for the motivation Laura! Even managed to stop by my local nursery and picked up the sweetest rose tree for my new flower bed.

    Very cute. Love this
    I make little birdhouses and one that I make is a chicken coop. I like to put little signs on them like
    LAST ONE IN IS A ROTTEN EGG...OR
    WICKED CHICKENS LAY DEVILED EGGS OR
    CHICK INN. Thanks for sharing

    Wow! What a great transformation you and that battery rototiller made to this space. Thanks for the filming, editing of this video. You guys are good at what you do, and I am a big fan of your time, energy, and final product you post.

    Laura, that was awesome. Love the long videos. I really admire how you are actually excited to shovel up that gravel. I looked at that and said "no way would I be motivated to do THAT." And you crack me up with that witch's brew of amendments and the tiller.
    The chicken coop and run look fantastic. I love how the run's roof mirrors the coop. Perfect. It looks like a pergola. I'm not a fan of white but it looks really nice.
    Love that you're installing a fan in the coop. Working electricity, running water and a fan? That's nearly unheard of in all the channels I follow (who raise chickens).
    Look forward to seeing everything you plant there. I just KNOW there's going to be at least one hydrangea in that bed, lol.
