- Predator: Hunting Grounds is a multiplayer video game developed by IllFonic and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows. It is part of the Predator franchise, featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger reprising his role as Alan "Dutch" Schafer (Predator), Alice Braga reprising her role as Isabelle (Predators), and Jake Busey reprising his role as Sean Keyes (The Predator).
Set in the remote jungles of the world, it tasks a team of four elite operatives with completing paramilitary operations before a single Predator can find and eliminate them. The game was released on April 24, 2020.
Predator: Hunting Grounds was the first Predator video game in a decade, following the Predators-themed mobile games from Angry Mob and Gameloft released in 2010, and the first full title for consoles since 2005's Predator: Concrete Jungle (although several other games featuring the Yautja were released in the interim).

Kind of old, but just wanted to say. I’ve never played this game, but I love watching aggressive players. The ultimate efficiency combined with the will to win is just so enjoyable to watch, and something I don’t really see in video games. You waste no time making your moves, I absolutely love it. Keep up the good work!

I have also never played the game. The humans deal a surprising amount of damage! Especially towards the end where even 1 on 1 the Predator had to run away to heal up. What an intense match!

This actually helped me ALOT. I carefully watched how you played, implemented it into my playstyle and actually ended up getting my first two wins as the predator. I learned to use a more hit and run strategy, often attacking from a distance, only engaging in close quarters combat when it's a 1v1, from behind, or when no one has noticed me. I feel I have now become worthy to be called a hunter.

I feel like we need a movie set on the Predator planet following a Predator exile trying to reclaim his honor. Or something like that but the main character needs to be a Predator. There doesn’t even have to be humans in the movie.

Talking from an economic standpoint. It's hard to make a film that make viewers sympathize with an alien with a completely alien mindset without forcing it. And if viewers can't or won't sympathize = less range of audience = less revenue. The only fans you're left with would be the gore lovers who just want to watch the bloody stuff.
tl;dr it would be a very niche genre and general audience won't need it.
@@RichterBelmont2235 There's been plenty of Anti-heroes in film and we've been rocking with the Predator since the 80's. Even in AVP they were widely considered the 'good guys" towards the end when the aliens appeared even after they slaughtered unarmed people for zero reason. Hell, even T2 made the Terminator relatable when there was a bigger threat in the T-1000.
@@chillwillfromtheville Well there's a thing called moral myopia in AVP which I won't argue but citing T2 is very weird because the Terminator there actually learn to understand humans. He's also becoming a father figure which is universally relatable. That's why it did like 3 or 4 times more than AVP in the box office.
Meanwhile Predators were and always are, a bunch of dicks. They are strong enough to wrestle a bear with bare hands and "supposedly" have their code of honor. Yet they just running around stabbing innocent people in the back while cloaking and hunt only the weaker creatures or less technologically advanced. There is simply no honor in that, just a trophy hunter doing trophy hunter stuff.
Maybe it's kinda understandable that you can't really make them heroic within our moral standard or without bending said standard so hard. That's why Hollywood won't ever call the shot, not in a hundred years given their lack of imaginations these days.

They made the human soldiers WAY to OP. It shouldn’t take that many shoulder cannon blasts, Arm Blade Slashes, etc to take them down.

damn dude thats ridiculous you have to shoot them 5 times with a plasma caster while they're downed. Looks like a fun game but the balance looks wayy off to favor the humans....
Yeah but I mean realistically what can you do if it was more in favor of the predator I feel like no one would want to play unless they were the predator you could go oh they could just balance it but how it’s basically this or have the predator 1 or 2 shot everyone it seems really hard to make work imo
This is the first time I’ve watched anything on this game, man those marines are bullet sponges. I feel like the shoulder cannon should be a one hit knockdown and a two hit kill and just put a cool down on it.
Poor players. This is how the lawman in RDR2 feel when I battle them like some primal predatory freak. I move too fast, and hide too well.

I've never seen any gameplay of this before, but that it looked really fun. Clearly there needs some rebalancing for both the humans and the yautja; both are too spongey.

@@d3r3x18 yeah either way it feels like the predator is always on the run when it should be the other way around. The second you’re spotted you gotta get outa there before you health is gone. When the marines are the ones that should scatter. The cloaking is too weak too.so easily spotted

Ive got a challenge for you. Make a predator that hunts from the shadows. Rarely hand to hand. Almost as if the Yautja has abandoned its values and uses whatever weapons meccessary to complete the Hunt.
Bow, plasma canon, bear traps, razpr disc(cant remember name of the actual tool.) Itd be terrifying for the Fireteam and oh so intriguing to watch from your POV

These humans appear to be way too tanky. Has this game always been like that? I get a challenge for sure but this guy is popping shots left and right and they don't even fall.
Yeah everyone is saying that. They made the fireteam too overpowered like, veteran players can beat a predator by themselves without the need of 3 more ft members. At the beginning, it was more balanced but they "patched it" after few updates in 2020-2021.
@@d3r3x18 I was watching the later portion of the fighting and literally just 1 memeber can beam the predator. I can see why this game doesn't have alot of player base considering the predator is so weak.

I have a game idea I wish i could do but i don't have the skills or resources to do it
You begin as a unblooded who is about to become a youngblood and you go through the tutorial learning the controls then after that you are a young blood who's first mission is to kill a xenomorph in a random location with 2 other predators like in the alien vs predator and like in the movie you are the only one that survives expect that you pass and don't die from the xenomorph you start off with basic weaponry and can go on hunt's to gather materials and level up eventually ranking up and gaining better equipment as you do this you can have special hunt's hunting special prey and even rogue predator's it could even be multiplayer with 100 different planets with character creation at the beginning and armor customization during gameplay with a skill tree to improve your self as a hunter the final boss would be a xenomorph queen or a mech that was designed to defend against predators after you were captured by humans and you have to make it through a large facility using your limited tech to your advantage (yes like one of the movies) the ai would be complicated but would make it extremely fun and entertaining plus you could even go to the reserve planet and do a pvp hunt like match in hunting grounds but hunters would be competing agains't other hunters ln a competition to see who could kill more prey.
I don’t know why this game got so many bad reviews. It seems like a fun game
