I personally dont understand why people come here if they dont like street photography or they dont like B&W photography. And if somehow one wants to educate and challenge things then do it with proper adult way and just no cry about everything. I really liked this video again - and photos! Keep up with great content and ignore these stupid idiots.
Thank you for taking us on the tour of the show, and in particular the less seen pieces. Superb set, and perhaps give me some ideas going forward. Love the audio track insight.
I love the 1st and 3rd Sassy Girls pics, I'd have probably tried to get the guy in the right in the frame too on the 3rd pic, but that would probably have detracted from the 3 main characters. Also the two boys in matching shirts, great stuff! I like the horse at 7:43 too with the guy walking away too!
@@takeytakeyphoties Don't be daft, Craig. I didn't take it as criticism. It's a fair point tbh, but one of the issues we have is the GoPro sees more than the camera lens, so the viewer might see a wider scene, but we can't physically take it because the lens isn't wide enough.
Loved these shots Sarah. I am English but have lived in rural Iowa, USA for the last 25 years, local rural agricultural shows and festivals are about as much action we ever get for candid photography - this last weekend I attended an iron works show with vintage steam tractors etc. Question did your crop the images so the subjects appear closer? The POV camera looked much further away
Weather is pretty much what we are about to be seeing on a daily basis here in the PNW - Love your work Jeff & Sarah. Only wish you had your Silverchrome recipe's for Capture 1 as it's my primary editing tool (Personal choice as I love how it handles my Fuji raw files). How do you find these farm fairs? Any recommendations on where to research to find them?
Thank you. I might take a look at doing something with C1, but at the moment, I don't have the time to sit and learn the software first. Sarah researched the big shows on google. Once she got chatting to the farmers, they told her of other smaller events which she prefers.
Thank you for taking us along with you!! It looks like a county fair here in the US. I was wondering if you’re using a GoPro camera and what was your setup ( head mount or chest)? I’m assuming that you’re shooting with the Black and White Leica, or are converting everything from color to Black and white in post. Thank you for taking us along this fine Sunday morning. Cheers. 😀🥳😎
Great video ! Always such a shame when these events suffer bad weather after so much hard work. Sorry our paths didn’t cross at Westmorland Show - it was so busy. Thanks for sharing this great project with us. Hope the lens is OK after the visit to First Aid!
i wish they did more things like this where i live. i live in Bournemouth and i love the sea but i wish we had more things like this put on although we do have a amazing air show and arts by the sea festivel
Great pics as always. Which external viewfinder are you using? I recently picked up a 28 elmarit but I'm basically just guessing on composition because I can't see the framelines.
Please explain a bit about using the external viewfinder vs the in-body 28mm frame lines. I have one but never used it because it feels like another distraction to remember using.
As a glasses wearer, unless I smush the internal VF up to my face I can only guess at the framing on a 28. The external VF gives a faster and more faithful sense of what's in the frame (and let's remember the internal VF framelines are not 100% accurate). With zone focusing, one can avoid looking through the internal VF to check focus and rely only on the external VF for the best composition. That's the idea anyway.
Never intentionally shoot a pic of a person's back. So many dour expressions! The trick is to engage the subject at least minimally; smile, hand signal compliment, work with them as you work alone. Overcome people's tendency to freeze up, rather than relying on pure low % luck. Luck is still good, but you have to help luck help you. Don't walk past a person's dog without paying attention & petting it! I do not understand the allure of a monochrome sensor, as the best bw is created using full tone RGB source files. This is proved by the simple fact that filters always make for better bw images, and filters filter COLOR. If your sensor does not sense color, you losing substantial control of the data. Somebody wants to try to explain their way around this I'd be happy to listen, but not swallow, that explanation.
Mate, are you on something? That was the most ridiculous, pompous and laughable attempt at trying to be clever that we’ve ever seen on RUclips. Congrats. 👏🏻
😂😂😂 are you actually serious. Mate I’ve been shooting photography for 16 years and have shot with musicians, artists and been paid professionally … a lot of money. I also know a lot of professional photographers. Never in all my days have I ever come across such an an insecure, uninformed, arrogant comment such as the one @johnsmith1474 has just written on this account. this is typical of someone with absolutely zero talent who is steeped in intellectual theory but has zero creative talent 😂😂😂 I’m bits I can’t stop laughing

Thank you. We don’t understand it either. I guess they have issues, insecurities, inferiority complexes? Who knows.
A wonderful slice of British life. Keep up the good work.
Thank you 🙏
You have to love the British summer!!!
Summer?? What’s that? 😂
Not the best of the weather but that adds to the images. Great shots and inspiration to find a show myself. Thank you for all you both do. 😃
Thanks for watching
Please continue to take us with you on your shoots. I live my life thru the memories.
Thank you
Excellent as always
🙏
特喜欢Sarah的28mm焦距的人文作品,照片的形式与内容能给观者带来温馨愉悦的心情。加油Sarah

Lovely morning photo walk with Sarah 👍💜✨
Thank you 🙏
thank you, the cloudy/a bit rainy situaion gave special mood
It called a summer’s day in our part of the world. 😂
Great pics, i love the clearness and the look
Thank you
Love your pictures, always liked b&w since film.

Patience personified, nice one Sarah.

Thanks Craig. In fairness to Sarah, she was right back in a corner when shooting the cheese tasting. That field of view was pretty much it.
@@WalkLikeAlice sorry Jeff, I didn't mean it to sound like a criticism, do you use gopro to film? They're like 14mm or so? Much wider I guess

Thank you. Most of the images are uncropped. The GoPro has a very wide field of view and is sometimes cropped to show what I’m looking at.
It rained a little here in Miami too 😎😎😎
Thumbs up, awesome video as usual 👍👍👍
Thanks Peter. Hope all is good with you.
Great images! What camera are you using? Digital?
You came away with some great shots!
Thank you

Changed my wallpaper after more than a year to the girl with the horse at 4:24
You keep surprising me with the quality of the shots even when the weather is shite. I'm sure your personality has something to do with it too 🙂
Thank you.
Is there a go to zone focussing technique for 28 mm? E.g. set focus at 1.5 m and f8 etc?
This is coming up in the next video.

It’s the plastic Leica Brightline 12009

the 2 young men at 8:49 --- spectacular! Sarah, Sarah always carry a plastic bag for your camera
Thank you
That first photo… wearing a sassy top striking a sassy pose. Nice.

Not the best weather sealed cameras that's for sure. I trust no damage resulted. Enjoyed it.

Did you use an yellow-filter?
Yes 🙂
Leica Qow!
People seem to be more relax in UK in front a camera...
Depends. In some parts of the UK it’s more difficult.
If the camera strap is worn on the neck it would not dangle in the view of your Gopro, otherwise an interesting video!
The photography comes first and I never wear a strap around my neck. So the GoPro footage will be what it will be. 🙂
