English Umbreon is a good looking card. But I personally I think that the majority of the others look better. The sylveon is my personal chase out of it.
English texturing has always been less dense and more widespread, so they look "better" in pictures. But Japanese textures are finer and more detailed, in pictures unless you have a good camera and really zoomed in, the texturing isn't as visible. In person there is no comparisson Japanese wins.
Japanese cards always look better IMO. Even when the print quality is equivalent there is something about the way the Japanese text just blends much better with the style. I guess it makes sense because the art is developed with the placement of the Japanese text in mind.
We also don’t know if the eeveelution masterballs are gonna be in the main set cause the normal non reverse versions are being excluded from the set. Also we are supposed to get illustration rares acirding to orig press release. Likely the meowth and whopper. And we are getting 1 less SAR in English. Which likely will be one of the eevee cards.

MPG of American asked Japan to reduce the texturing for future generations by 70% because it takes longer to produce. This is why most gen 7 sets never saw many reprints. If you take any English and Japanese cards and shine them in the light you’ll see they have the same pattern but because the Japanese cards are so strongly textured they appear to be different.
I absolutely love that they’re doing the pokeballs and master balls. I agree I hope they don’t replace the IR’s moving forward but add them in. This makes reverses actually have value outside of the few playable reverses that are worth a few bucks. And it also reduces the predictability of a pack in my opinion.
Japan’s set is larger because there’s a handful of promo artworks that they just received where as we’ve had them for a while. Like iron bundle from paradox pre release kits and roaring moon from the ex box that came out last year. It’s also likely that we just won’t get as many ex cards. Vstar universe had way more reprint ultra rares than crown zenith did for example. Also I feel like they’ll exclude one of the eevee special arts for a UPC type product later on.
Is it confirmed, that there is a regular umbreon in the english setlist to have a chance toi get the masterball? Because the masterball one from terastal festival will be as a PROMO in the box in prismatic evolutions....
The crown has never bugged me but in the show I don’t like how after the crown there is this giant hexagon on top. Not sure if you saw it. Some of these cards don’t tell a story but they just pop. I’m looking forward to this set
I only bought one box and pulled the cake Eevee! The Espeon or the glaceon I think are the best art. But I'm super happy with the fruitcake Eevee! I sent it out to bgs, hoping for at least a 9.5
I like the crowns on most, but not on vaporeon, jolteon and flareon. Overall it's fine tho, but difficult to compete with their VMAX versions since those ones leave the original pokemon aesthetics untouched.
I herd there's no master balls in the packs they're in multiple products I guess will see... I did pull the eevee fruit the goldigo gold oger mask master ball cerulige
The sunbreons bottom attack is kind of broken. Being able to claim a prize card without having to do any damage.... and there's so many way to load up on energy early game. I've already made a beta deck with the current cards we have. Tested it with sunbreons attacks instead of my trash umbreons attacks . And yeah just gross. Adding surging sparks togekiss ability: flip a coin everytime one of your opponents pokemon are knocked out. If heads take another prize card.. making the sunbreon a switch pokemon while I readjust my board when my bruiser gets knocked. Yuh
I managed to get 20 boxes from snkrdunk at about $45... after fees, about $53. It's hard to feel okay not pulling the best... I only got 4 Eeveelutions (Sylveon, espeon, jolteon, and 2 Glaceon) but pulled 3 normal Eevees. 2 Ursaluna's, 2 iron valiant, every mask + a double, iron crown, turtle, goldengo, and sandy shock... I got good cards and a lot of master balls, including some good ones. But I still feel regretful.... People need to know that just because the pull rates are great doesn't guarantee you are going to get everything. I didn't get a single Umbreon not even a Pokeball. I'm not looking for sympathy because I didn't get everything I wanted out of my good deal that most people can't get. I'm just kind of venting.
Very underwhelmed by the set overall I’m not gonna lie. A bulk majority of the sirs I was excited for turned out to be extremely lackluster, and I’m only a fan of 3 out of the 9 eeveelutions. I’m okay with skipping out on this set besides Umbreon, espeon and roaring moon if I’m honest I didn’t hear you mention it but in case you didn’t notice, roaring moon has the same artist as giratina V and Magikarp illustration rare: Shinji Kanda. Imo Umbreon and RM are top 5 arts in this entire era so far, can’t wait to hold them in person

As someone who just pulled the Umbreon out of my box yesterday I’m elated but it sucks for people who wanted to get it in english and might’ve pre ordered specifically for those cards
@@Malone2michael if you check the prismatic Evolutions sticker packs and poster collection it has 6 of the eeveelutions there as promos, so they won't be in the set. Umbreon and Espeon still missing but predictions are some type of premium collection at a later date. Officially set list to be announced, so could always change, but unlikely with how promos panned out in the past
Actually Kinda disappointed with SiRs. Too busy and less contrast and most don't show a story. But I bet it will still look good in person esp with the texture. What I'm saying is they could have done better in art work if they just followed in evolving skies/ eevee heroes art style. It shows story.

Feel like they’re just too busy. Too much going on in the background that drowns out the Pokémon itself on most of them. Might be better in person, haven’t had the chance to see them IRL yet, but seeing the scans, just not feeling it
Bought a couple to get graded and for the brief moment I transferred it over to a new penny sleeve and card saver.. I shined it in the light and damn it looks so good especially with the border

Japanese is vastly better quality which is nothing new or out of the ordinary. English cards have terrible quality and their card stock sucks.
The Umbreon raw in English will easily be $600-$800 right off release.

I own the JP Glaceon and man, the texture on that card is incredible. The snowflakes and embossed crystallization is awesome!
