Mary Lynn Johnson-Kerker the Everly brother was supposed to sing it but no because the record company & the brothers had different ideas about singing songs
Still heartbroken, and I wasn't even a devoted fan, only a little girl which enjoyed the show- back then, when the world was good to us and life nothing but sweet. Where did it go.
Terrific memory, but don't forget when David was touring across the world at this time he was singing something quite different like Delta Lady, For What It's Worth/Jenny Jenny which are outstanding performances and wearing those sexy jumpsuits. Yes folks Keith was a character.
I don't think I have ever heard this.. growing up in NYC, I believe when the show was in syndication this may have been edited out in favor of the William's song..and I haven't watched all of the episodes in the Season 4 DVD set so..but it IS a nice song!!
I have this version of Crying In The Rain by Peter and Gordon on their album True Love Ways. Did you all know that Crying In The Rain was originally recorded by The Every Brothers in the late fifty's?
I listen to it every single day, and it makes me feel soo thrilled and enthusiastic repeating the lyrics over and over, there are many versions but David with his outstanding talent and his showman skills, provokes my excitement and nostalgia at the same time. God bless David on the other side of the veil.
Great Job SumerKis38 ! You bring out the best in video and RUclips retro stuff with great impact--even if some of the shows concept may have been 'bubblegum' its pop that spoke to my soul since I was 7 ! ~namaste Happy belated birthday David Cassidy
Thanks SumerKis38, love this song! In Jr. High, I remember only catching the ending of the shows! Usually went outside to read or went to my room to do homework! So I would hurry up and go to the living room whenever I heard the show was on. I had siblings that took over the tv and I was always the peace maker of course!
Ginny L. My parents were crazy having 8 kids. Is it a Law Irish familys are required to have lots of kids. Mom & Dad had Irish names O'GRADY KELLY This is also crazy us 8 kids have 16 first cousins. ERIN GO BRAGH That means IRELAND FOREVER
David had finally pulled himself together and had a successful Las Vegas show for several years. But then got the news that he feared, he had dementia. His mother had died from it and he knew exactly what was going to happen. I don't think anyone really knows if he started drinking again or not, because of the dementia. I'm glad his brothers, son & daughter were with him when he died.
@@jstrey8 He admitted that he had continued to drink. What dementia he had only came from the alchohol. If he could have gotten the drinking under control no one know if he would've gotten Alzheimers or any other form of dementia.
The Partridge Family performed in an absurd network of white bread supper clubs where nobody ate, drank, or smoked. The audience sat there politely tapping their hands to bland , formulaic Partridge music.
Loved the Partridge Family music, loved David Cassidy's voice. Nobody smoked because I think you weren't allowed to smoke on television. They took the cigarette commercials off the air too. Of course in the 50s, Lucy and Ricky were always smoking on screen. Archie Bunker smoked cigars, but cigarettes is a big no no. I have to laugh at the places Rubin Kincaid booked them. There was one where all you saw in the audience was a bunch of old business men and they're tapping along enjoying Keith Partridge. Then there was one where they were at a women's lib rally and there was hardly anyone there. I guess they didn't want to pay for a lot of extras.
Yes. And nobody fought it. It was that kinder, gentler America portrayed as everyone has always wanted. Has reality TV made us happier? Just the opposite. Bring back these days of dreams.
He was a beautiful man absolutely gorgeous David cassidy
Wat a beautiful sexy voice. He had it all. The voice. The looks. He was gorgeous.
David’s voice is magnificent
What a singer - gorgeous in every way💗💗

I love the Everly Brothers too, they were outstanding singers. David does a nice job with this song.
Mary Lynn Johnson-Kerker the Everly brother was supposed to sing it but no because the record company & the brothers had different ideas about singing songs
Hey, A-ha did this better than the Everly Bros., too! ruclips.net/video/GdP20H-DUzg/видео.html
That voice. That face. That hair. OMG
Rest in Peace David Cassidy.
And Suzanne Crough David Madden too.
Still heartbroken, and I wasn't even a devoted fan, only a little girl which enjoyed the show- back then, when the world was good to us and life nothing but sweet.

I don't think I have ever heard this..

Beautiful
First sung by the Everly Brothers.
I must admit...better than the Everly Bros.
Susan was so pretty 😍😍
OMG! The only time I cheated on David was when I had a crush on Andy and David Williams.
The twins are Andy and David Williams.
cherish1950 The twins are related to singer Andy Williams
@@jamesogrady6612 Yes he's their Uncle.
I also like the version by Crystal Gayle.
This version, by A-ha, is fantastic, too!! ruclips.net/video/GdP20H-DUzg/видео.html
TRES Cool Shag
There is definitely chemistry between Susan Dey and David Cassidy on a lot of the PF shows. Look closely and you will see it.
Look up the chemistry when the Partridges sing I Wanna Be With You.
Molly Popp I always thought because Susan was only 16
its like he doesnt exist anymore. I've watched current videos of him and its like he is a completely different person. :'(
@Ruth, now you know why you should not do drugs and alcohol !!
Why? We all grow older. He drank way, way too much but David will always be David to those that adored him....obviously you didn't.

Please do! We live in Oklahoma. =)
SumerKis38 I live in Oklahoma too. 😄 and miss David Cassidy so bad, it hurts. 😭
do my crying in the rain and nites
Did I see the Williams brothers?
Madelow56 yes, you did. I used to see them play in LA in the late 80s/90s.
This is an Everly Brothers cover!
Oh those Hansen twins.
Williams twins.
Laurie kept looking down and flirting with the twins.
What episode is this from?I don't remember this song in any episode!!
the episode with the twins fighting over Laurie
It doesn’t help that Antenna TV cuts it for commercials.
Yes it's not on Antenna TV. Only the boys singing. There are so many commercials now you forget what you are watching.
Traceylookedtheotherway
This is an old Everly Bros song...wow..
I think Andy and David Williams look like Ellen DeGeneres!

The audience smoked on plenty of these shows.
