He’s crushing it man ! Understanding color depth, foreground, shadowing... it’s not easy. But with anything people make this t look simple until you try and realize it takes some serious practice and some serious f-ups .
I have a few of his older baits dating back to 2014...He did great work back then. I have a foiled sub surface darting bait..(lipless) with teeth marks on it.....Awesome finish!
Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ruclips.net/user/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
Duuuuuuuuuuuuude thanks for the shout, and I cannot WAIT for that Crawler. I am going to be afraid to throw that baby. I’m getting some more cool wood for you too!!
i watch your videos and think this guy could be much more in the world of art...but you're doing something you love ... that's half the game right there.
Parents gave me an airbrush for christmas because of my interest in baitmaking, learned so much here, one day i plan to send you one i made myself !!! Thanks legend!
The action almost looked like a dying fish swimming before you put the weight in the belly, the extra weight in the belly really makes me think dying fish, love that action
The action reminds me of the Murray cod lures like you mentioned but maybe the hook up ratio is a little better because there's nothing blocking the head? I don't know, I'm pretty drunk. Great videos.
These videos are what I can't wait for each week, bonus fishing is always great. I don't care if you post a video about clearing snow from your drive way, I'd watch it.
I came across your channel about a month ago and I must say how much your effort and imagination impress me. I gave up making lures when my wife complained about the mess (I have no workshop, just a small back bedroom and a sharp knife). You have, however, tempted me back to the dark side and I have plans to make a roach (Rutillus rutilus) swim bait. I've just got to sharpen my knife. Thanks for the inspiration.
60.25 inches The world record for a hooked muskie is 60.25 inches, which was caught in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1949. You’re the 🐐. I’m slightly embarrassed by how many hours of marling baits I’ve watched over the past few weeks. Only slightly though. Keep up the great work!
I don't binge watch anything, and I just binge watched your last year. Amazing paint jobs bro. Happy to of found your channel. You deserve the following you're getting. Congrats man.
If I ever somehow got ahold of one of these baits I’d be absolutely terrified to actually fish with it. I’d probably tie it on with 80 LB braid and very shakey hands
I just got one of your long sleeve shirts for Christmas! Thank you for all the lures and the quality t-shirts!!! And I have made a few lures because of you!
Glad to see more lures!!! I’ve watch just about every video you’ve posted and still to this day my favorite video is the river bank mantis build, it was the video that brought me to the channel and I’m hoping to see more like it. Keep up the good work! How’s chip doing???
Just got your lure in the Mail, I love it!! Simply a masterpice. And I must say I love the one days, but your true potensial shine when given the time like with these baits it seems Keep up the good work and keep doing what you love
Wow those are exquisite baits right there. For a big hammer guy with not a hint of artistry in my body I can't even begin to fathom how they are made by the hand of man. Regards from Scotland.
Dude I’m just so friggen impressed with each and every video of your wood made baits and even just seeing how far you have come up with the painting and carving since the beginning it’s amazing keep it up I’m eventually going to get one of your baits to put on my main display with my Massachusetts state record bass I caught can’t wait till then
I'm serious. What a way to end an episode.😆😂🤣 I've really enjoyed your channel since I've found it. Love the humor, baits & bloopers. May your baits be spiffy & their action kicky.

Big agree. Once he started using the mesh for the patterns he just took off with it
I'm really sad that every time I go to buy a lure. They're a nothing in the store :/

Those patterns under the gills and the color is amazing. Should use that more often.
