Hunger slaps
The track that got me hooked on this band was On The Rocks. Kinda got sucked in from there.
One of the things I love the most about your channel is how startling out you were a hip hop fan and the music that played on your logo was the catchy tone and as your page progressed so too did the song until you became an official metalhead and decided it was time to incorporate metal into the intro because you’re one of us, it’s perfect

GG6 isn't new, the "new" guy does the male clean vocals. Henrik has been with them since the first album.
Also this song is what my wife and I had our first dance to at our wedding reception. The DJ thought he had the acoustic version that we requested, but had snagged this one by accident as it and the acoustic start the exact same way.

The acoustic version to this song is actually me and my wife's first dance at our wedding. I love the meaning through this song and felt it was the right choice.

Amaranthe is absolutely amazing. The triple vocal attack and the music just really makes listening to them an experience.
Amaranthe is my second favorite band of all time and they have SO MANY BANGERS. Please do The Nexus and Burn With Me. Actually, do everything. Just do an Amaranthe binge. They're an incredible band.

Do what we did. My wife and I danced to the accoustic version of this song for our first dance. Then the last song of the night we danced to Endlessly. Best of both worlds. :)

Amaranthe is great, saw them few times live; also saw Elize as the female guesst singer for Kamelot. On a concert in 2012 she blows out my mind - it was a Kamelot show and I had a early access ticket and stand in front row. At the song "Sacrimony" is a growl part, normally done by Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), I thought the part won't be live and they will use a tape insteat....but nope, Elize went down on her knees, took my hand and growled me straight into my face - HOLY SHIT!!!

For context, this song is from their first album released back in 2011, a whole decade ago! This was the first song I heard by the group back then and I was instantly hooked. The band is known for having three vocalists, but the lineup has had two changes over the years. Elize Ryd is the female vocalist and has been with the group since the beginning. In this video, the clean male vocalist is Jake E. Lundberg and the harsh male vocalist is Andreas Solvestrom. Andreas left the group after the second album and was replaced by Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson, or better know by his stage name, GG6. He is the current harsh male vocalist. Jake was in the group for the first four albums, then left. He was replaced by Nils Molin. So as it stands now, GG6 has been in the group for the past four albums and Nils has been in the group for the past two albums.

I saw them live in Royal oak Michigan. We were right in front of the stage and when she sang the intro verse,she had the crowd sing and I have a video of it from my old iPhone 6. I’ll have to post it in these comments sometime for ya. It was a great moment in my concert history 😀

I can't believe you haven't done more AMARANTHE vids. The first vid I saw was Hunger I accidentally came across it while searching for the Nightwish song Amaranth. I watched it and could not believe I never heard of the band before that. I sat up for hours watching their stuff went online and bought every CD I could find. AMARANTHE is one of my top fav bands.
This song has remained on my playlist for what seems ten years...and as I check, yep, that's when it came out...when I was 50.

Glad you finally see the light! Amaranthe is stupendous, you definitely need to check out some of their more recent stuff with new male vocalists, BOOM! is an excellent track with a very rare growl from Elize, Gg6 and Drop Dead Cynical are both standouts as well!
Fun fact: Elize Ryd did casting to be Nightwish lead singer after Annette's departure from the band, she even was in tour, alongside other singers that performed until Floor join to fill for the rest of tour and eventually became official member of the band. You can see some Nightwish songs performed by her here on yt

FINALLY you reacted to my personal anthem (so to speak), that I value for about an entire decade. The first song I heard of them was "Hunger" (one of their very first songs published), and I instantly fell in love with Elize's voice and energy. If you haven't already, you definitely should check out Hunger as well.
Honestly you need to listen to "Amaranthe - That Song", it's by far their catchiest song in my opinion.

Amaranthe was gonna do a North America tour in 2020, I had VIP tickets for the show in New Orleans at the House Of Blues but of course it was all cancelled due to covid.

Well, I HAD my Amaranthine, her name was Tina. She was my soulmate, my better half, my counterpart, the love of my life and my best friend, all in one person, I used to call her my angel and my savior cause she was, maybe somehow still is, my love for her is unfated, just her heart stopped beatin', way to early after a life with more pain and tragedies than ten humans together should have to go through.
