All those debates on Kobe and T-Mac...I think they were pretty much at the same level at that time for scoring. Only thing was: T-Mac makes it look so damn easy.
If not those fucking injuries T-Mac could easily be top 5 small forwards and shooting guards in NBA history, Arenas was also awesome player and so underrated.
Tmac = underrated. He can dunk, shoot 3 points consistently, do no look assists, rebound block, he has a high basketball IQ. He played with greats like Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Kobe, Lebron, Dirk Nowitzki, etc... He's just as good as his cousin Vince Carter. Too bad McGrady's injuries forced him to retire back in 2013.
T-Mac's greatest strength is that he was a pure shooter. Yeah he attacked the rim and threw down monster slams but watching this shows how good he was around the perimeter. Man, I wish he stayed healthy
He's not though. Saying he's the better scorer is debatable, but the better scorer by far ? Not a chance. T-Mac had all the moves, could do anything Kobe could do, the only thing Kobe has over T-Mac scoring wise is a better post game, jump shot, and contested shot, however T-Mac could do all that stuff extremely well, but T-Mac was 6'8 with long arms and crazy athleticism, so he was a much trickier guy to defend than Kobe. Kobe even said T-Mac was the hardest person he's ever had to defend.
Tracy McGrady only had 7 points in the first quarter, missed 9 free throws, and missed 10 of his last 11 shots in this game, and he still ended up with 62 points.
Its the discipline in the long run that what make kobe better than the rest. When all of them young with fresh legs they r same level scoring but only kobe outlast them all becuz of the discipline and the fundamentals that he had later on didnt have to rely on much of athleticism
The disrespect the orlando magic organization had around T-mac was unbelievable
Cause the team was trash

No kidding .. T-mac is also 2" taller ..
Tmac was better in the ol' days but Tmac never won a championship :(
Lmao Kobe way better. Only one reached full potential. Cmon with that comment
+Jake Wichser He said was as in past tense. I believe he was speaking about during T-Macs prime which is very debatable.
+Jake Wichser Kobe played under Phil and Tex to compare with T-Mac and his injuries.

Jordan himself said mcgrady was the only guy he could think of reaching his lvl of basketball..but all those injuries
That's completely made up man. He never said that 😂

You just don't see this level of talent in the league anymore. Back in the early 2000s, you could make a case for at least 5 guys to win the MVP.
spongedudeZ so true nowadays NBA is soft
+spongedudeZ more than five
10 guys could have had mvp
2 great scorers that will always be missed!! We can only imagine the NBA if none of them got injured
That bobble head looked nothing like T-Mac to me lol
Agreed
It looks like a super racist bobblehead... lol
I always said if Gilbert Arenas was 6'6 he would be the perfect shooting guard because he could score in so many ways
If not injured, and if only had a chance to play under a good coach or a good GM, Penny and T-mac could've developed into a Jordan level.
They could be better than Lebron who won rings under Pat Riley and Kobe with Phil Jackson and Tex Winter
T-Mac's greatest strength is that he was a pure shooter. Yeah he attacked the rim and threw down monster slams but watching this shows how good he was around the perimeter. Man, I wish he stayed healthy
Never get tired of watching this
I love this era Year 2004
I really miss T-Mac and Arenas
I love these post Jordan classic match ups of guard. Kobe, T-mac, Arenas, Vince Carter, Ben Gordon, D-Wade
Forget MJ and rings, TMac is the G.O.A.T.
Best scorer I have ever witnessed playing.....hands down
You need to watch more basketball
great game
AMAZING !
Ikr. I miss McGrady
@Julian Williams warchu talking about man he got both handsup in the air

i cry when i watching this video...

@soshityo Orlando crowd and Washington announcers. This was when the magic attendance was pretty bad.

T-Mac wass so dangerous bac in the day. when i was a kid to me he was the best shooting guard . YES even better then Kobe
The crowd sounds dead and the play-by-play guys sound monotone
All that talent. 62 and he wasn't even trying. How come he never got it?
How the mighty have fallen...
lol, at Dead Presidents(Jay-Z) at the beginning of the video.
"T Lue, doing what he's known to do, and that's squirm on the floor...." #Pause 9:47
2:58 ......very smooth

T-Mac had more natural talent than Kobe and Jordan. But he didn't develop it into MVP level and he didn't condition it to prevent injuries.
No...
Fuck it ill take that back
+KING JAY lol right
100% right! Tmac on offense was truly unguardable
McGrady, Carter, Arenas could have been the best without injuries.

kevin durant , carmelo , tyreke evans = Tracy mcgrady
Gilbert Arenas is the better shooter!

I admire T-Mac's talent, but Kobe is just a more explosive scorer, he scored Tracy's points in one less of a quarter, imo.
