- TASTY LAING RECIPE (exact ingredients below)
Laing is an authentic dish from Bicol. It is made of Taro leaves, shrimp paste & coconut milk.
Laing Ingredients:
2 packs of Gabi or Taro leaves
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
2 onions (sliced)
1 Ginger (sliced)
2 pcs red chili
4 pcs green chili
3 tbsp Shrimp paste
Coconut cream (1st & 2nd extraction)
10 - 15 pcs hrimp (optional)
2 slices of pork belly (optional)
Laing is best served with freshly cooked white rice.

I tried this and this is the first serious cooking that I did in my life. The instructions and the measurements were great! I achieved the taste of laing similar to those in conti's, manam and mesa as per my mom. My dad wanted it to be saucier pero I prefer it dry. I disregarded the shrimp tho. I'm recommending this to people reading the comments. It's a good recipe. Thank you foodnatics!

I just made a Laing RUclips video too! I also add pork belly, but I don't fry it first. I think I will do it your way next time; making the pork belly crispy might kick my laing up a level!

Ano bang sikreto para hindi makati ang pagluto ng laing . Sabi ng matatanda wag daw kamot ng kamot o kaya wag daw haluin ng haluin . Gusto ko talaga itry magluto neto kaso baka masayang eh

gaano nyo po katagal niluto? hindi po ba makunat ung dahon? never ko pa kasi natry na dahon ang lutuin...
Hindi naman po kumukunat ang taro leaves, pag na overcooked nalulusaw po sya..Malalaman nyo pong luto na sya pag malambot na at hindi lusaw..
