✨✨✨oh that's so beautiful, so sweet how Lesley laughs when he sings her name instead of 'Christine', I've watched and listened to it so many times, they are a wonderful couple on stage and even though Sarah Brightman is the one worldwide "First Christine" is known and loved, I just think Lesley Garrett's voice is even more beautiful, I listen to it again and again, it's really a masterpiece for my ears and eyes and JOJ is one of the few who can relate to it simply enchanted by quieter tones, as a couple on stage --- very, very rarely experience such chemistry... I absolutely love it, it may be that I have already left something here, but it always enchants me again and again❤️❤️❤️
He expresses such enigmatic facial expressions as he belts heartfelt tones that awakens the inner senses. Sweet intoxication indeed!
he has voice of an angel indeed. he is the best phantom! i wish we could get more angles of his face at this performance.
I just love the voice... and how the orchester plays to match him. Really, I admire orchestras and their dirigent! He is so attentive and follows John Owen's moves perfectly! And how singers and orchestras just do a great teamwork...
✨✨✨ ***The Divine*** Miss Lesley Garrett; *** I always find this sentence so incredibly beautiful. I already know every word and the lyrics completely by heart, but I am always enchanted when in a duet "Christine" becomes "Lesley" and she smiles so enchantingly, so honestly and beautifully, like a very young girl who is in love for the first time. There is just something so enchanting about it, I can watch and listen to it over and over again. I have posted something here before and yes, this is simply - a "compulsion" for me; - something that so completely appeals to my senses - I am caught in a shower of stars every time ✨✨💞 JOJ with his angelic high notes and "The Divine" as a duo, I am always completely lost in these sounds and images. I love you John, I love you Lesley and I love you all together here so much. What magic, what a couple..🩷🩷🩷

I am impressed that she got that last high note - I've heard too many productions change the notes so as to avoid it - very well done for a lady in her 60s, since much younger singers often opt out of that note!

Thoroughly enjoyed this performance. I have always liked Lesley Garrett and I saw John Owen Jones many years ago for the first time at the Faenol Festival in N Wales. It was an outdoor concert but you could have heard a pin drop when he sang.🏴

Don't know who Lesley Garrett is, but I am obsessed with her
Lesley Garrett is the UK's best known operatic soprano, now in her sixties, she has been performing nationally and internationally all her life. She is married to a Doctor and has two children at University. She taken part in many operas and in recent years worked in the West End in various musicals. "A National Treasure." from Doncaster, Yorkshire, North of England.

Great voice but the best portrayal of the Phanom for me will always be Michael Crawford.
They are both very different. But it's somehow true, if you close your eyes and listen to both, you see Michael Crawford as the phantom with its very special expression in front of you.
