I was already desperate about these f… wheels. I wouldn't have dared to do that, for fear that everything would be broken. Since I don’t have much strength in my hands, I levered it out with a small Allen key, which was much easier. Thanks so much! Greetings from Germany.
I was able to remove the wheel but it was hard to put them back on. Once I decided to use all of my might to push the pin back in with a flat head screw driver they snapped in and now I can actually roll my dyson on the floor with ease again. You just have to get over the fear of cracking the plastic and it will just snap back into the slot.
The thing works pretty well. I’m quite pleased with it actually. The snap unlock is a pretty slick feature and doesn’t require any tools. I was impressed. God bless James Dyson for dedicating his life to create the best vacuum!
Thanks a lot for this great video, which helped me a lot 💪✅ Some wheel were blocked and I cleaned all parts which you mentioned, now the Dyson rolls as a new one. The last screw was horrible placed by the manufactor, really a mess and I think this screw is only there to avoid a own repair / cleaning - my Dyson is also running fine without the last screw, thanks a lot 👍
Vielen Dank.

such a bad design. i bet i will break it soon or later trying to pop them out. it took only 10 days for them to get clogged up on gen5. i guess i should avoid vacuming backwards because that way hair gets picked up by those small wheels. if u go forward then hair gets sucked in, or at least most of it does before it reaches those small wheels behind.
Hi, I also dismantled my fluffy brush to replace the plush purple adhesive strip, I would like to ask you if I remove the green cover like you did, can I get the whole thing afterwards? because the plush strip is also attached to the inside of the brush
I had the same problem. So I put the base of the screwdriver at my stomach, which gave me two free hands to hold the head properly and pull it against myself. It also meant I could avoid having my hands directly opposite the screwdriver in case it slipped. Hope this helps somebody.

Thank you my friend. If you know how many videos I watched until I found yours. I was about to unscrew the case and it's good that I saw your clip.
THANK YOU!!! I called Dyson and they couldn't even give me these simple instructions! They told me to rip the entire head apart. Completely insane!
Exactly what I‘ve been looking for! Thank you!
Cam you make a video on how to completely disassemble this head to thoroughly clean it
Thanks - nice to finally know how to clean the small wheels on the Dyson 👍

Great video. Terrible product design. For the price of those vacumes, those wheels should clean themselves. It's like Dyson doesn't care.

I feel bad for your wife 😂
Thanks! OMG I spent an hour with small tweezers trying to get the hair out of the little wheels!

Thanks this video. I have been wondering how on earth I can clean these.

Thank you, this is exactly what I needed!
OM F G! Thank you! Such a terrible design! I struggled to cut the hair for 30 minutes with an exacto-knife. I was afraid to pull that hard.
Gracias por ayudarme con su video. Es el mejor que encontré !
I have this fluffy and would like to understand how I can replace the plush strips
I have the same query
Where do I get that tool to take out the wheels
Grand, grand merci ☺️ 😊
thank you! What screwdriver bit is that?
Doesn‘t work on mine. I just damage the case
I have the same model but the damn roller is stuck on the motor thingy. I cannot remove it anymore 🙄
Dear, any idea how to remove the blue tube on it?
Excellent, Thank you very much !
It was very helpfull, thank you.

You have to also dismantle upper gray covers for better strip placement.
Many thanks! Great and very helpful video!!!
I managed to lever it out but now I can't put it back 😭😭😭
exactly what i needed to know thank you
Lost the one pin while cleaning the wheel. No idea how to replace it. Any ideas?
What about to cut the steel nail with the same diameter.
고맙습니다, Thanks from korea
I wanna know if the wheels occasionally create sound while vacuuming . Is everyone facing the problem or is it just me. ?
It happens to me too. You can use a little silicone spray on the wheels.
Thanks for the reply
Thanks a lot
So useful to me
Thank you for this!!
what Torx size do I need, with or without a hole? Dyson doesn't answer me
T9 Torx without a hole
How did you manage not to damage the plastic surrounding?
perfect, love this head but those wheels collect dog hair
Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo !
Thank you!!
Many thanks, helped lot.
Daft Punk vibes 😜
Super danke🎉
bad design
I got them off but now I can’t get them back on again for the life of me no matter how hard I push 🥲
I used needle nose pliers to snap them back in
I'm having the same issue. Can't pop them back in even when applying a LOT of force and i'm afraid of breaking it.

Very informative video but I can’t remove mine 🥲 It’s making a dent on the plastic and I’m afraid to damage the whole thing.
