Jacob McCain it was so amazing! One of the announcers told everyone to find a seat as close as possible! (If they were free) so I was able to snag a seat way closer than I was originally assigned! I found a seat in the front row!! That made the experience that more immersive!
@@WilliamAiken same thing 2 weeks ago i ended up front row at FWD district contest where they showcased this. my first time seeing anything like this, unforgettable.
What's most impressive about this performance is how all these grown men found time to come together and practice before the show to pull this off flawlessly!
I saw this live and the energy in the room from around 6:30 to the part where they throw the guy was just CRAZY electric. People stood up and clapped to the beat and it was awesome.
Of the two versions posted from these guys (both of which are stellar, my goodness), I think this one's my favorite. You can hear their celebration of winning in the song itself, & it carries so much joy. Love it!
Wow. This was fantastic. Such a great performance musically and you all did awesome with the choreography. The fun just came blazing through. Well done!
I must watch this video (and the other one from the actual competition) at least three times a week. I still get chills. As a matter of fact, I downloaded the MP3s from the Broadway play. And ya know something? This is better. I'd give body parts (possibly even my own) to get my hands on the sheet music for this.

I got a Newsies vibe from the choreography. Beautifully choreographed, vivaciously performed; this is wonderful! I love listening to men's a capella choir pieces. I think this particular piece showcases the male voice is all its glory. The softness at the beginning is more than a dynamic; the softness at the beginning is gentleness. My favorite parts are from 4:55 to the end. I loved the toss around 6:30! The rhythmic stomping was infectious and the dynamics were well-managed. That's tough to do properly with risers and a dance corps, and this group managed![The only criticism I have is the man in the tan suit who spoke in the beginning was baltering in front of the dancers from 6:28 to 6:45. I liked it when he did the choreography with everyone else, but his baltering kinda ruined the ending for me. He did do some of the choreography in the time stamps indicated, but not the actual choreography. He jumped up and down vertically instead of the side-legged jumps the other choir/dance corps members were doing. I know it seems knit-picky on my part, but I'm a classically trained ballet dancer. These things matter to me.]
His names is Justin Miller and he was the Director and co-founder of The Westminster Chorus. He just moved back to Oregon to be near his family. He is a high school choir director, so he had to be moved by the start of tbe 2020-21 school year. He is just intense. He has high expectations and people respect him so much, they happily rise to meet those expectations. He does expect a lot from himself and from others, but tbe proof is in the pudding. The results are no less than stunning!!
It would be lovely for great choirs like this one to set a better example of not closing lips when saying the one ‘on’. All the time they are singing ‘From now WON’ It’s such an integral word to the song and such a simple choir rule that choir adjudicators, like myself, expect. Just a small polite comment to take into consideration for the future. Lots of hard work in the performance though. Very well done indeed!
This is the second performance of this I think? After they won? (The NF4 are coordinating outfits, the frist time they weren't?) It's still amazing. ❤ I could listen over and over again.
As I said somewhere else in the comments in this video, this is the chorus they're all members of. If you watch any Masters of Harmony videos, especially the ones in which they won in 2017, you can see NF4.
Some nice moments with real energy, the integration of the conductor didn't quite work for me and there were some moments that the arrangement didn't quite carry the energy that the climax was leading to, but other than that, a really engaging performance with some great harmonies (also NF4!)
Nothing can explain how amazing it was to witness this live sitting in the front row...
William Aiken I saw this in person at National ACDA in Kansas City last year and I was like WHOA

whoa, i got chills at that part...
simply one of the greatest choir performances in history and you can't deny that fact. this was a masterclass.
They could release this song 50 more times and I'd save all of them Simply wonderful, full stop.
Watched it again for the millionth time. Can't get enough of it.
What a great way to kick off 2025! Bravo!

You ask and you shall receive. Thanks for the second performance.
The harmonies are chilling, beautiful
This ranks up there with 76 Trombones as one of the very best Barbershop Chorus events EVER!!
One of the most incredible BARBERSHOP PERFORMANCE i have EVER seen & my dad was in the INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Houston Tidelanders in the the 1970s
Barbershop is all timing and harmonies and it's all I need
The joy of these blokes..singing makes them so so happy...mental health at a peak...beauiful production...thnks so much...♥
I just love how the newfangled four are just there.
Well, it is the chorus they're all members of.
The quartet finals followed this, hence them in full NF4 stage gear.
@@alistairwall5470 I'm so sad NF4 broke up

Lyrics:
I saw the sun begin to dim
And felt that winter wind
Blow cold
A man learns who is there for him
When the glitter fades and the walls won't hold
'Cause from then, rubble
What remains
Can only be what's true
If all was lost
There's more I gained
'Cause it led me back
To you
From now on
These eyes will not be blinded by the lights
From now on
What's waited 'til tomorrow starts tonight
Tonight
Let this promise in me start
Like an anthem in my heart
From now on
From now on
I drank champagne with kings and queens
The politicians praised my name
But those are someone else's dreams
The pitfalls of the man I became
For years and years
I chased their cheers
The crazy speed of always needing more
But when I stop
And see you here
I remember who all this was for
And from now on
These eyes will not be blinded by the lights
From now on
What's waited 'til tomorrow starts tonight
It starts tonight
And let this promise in me start
Like an anthem in my heart
From now on
From now on
From now on
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
(From now on!)
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home (Yes)
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
From now on
These eyes will not be blinded by the lights!
From now on!
What's waited 'til tomorrow starts tonight!
It starts tonight!
Let these promise in me start
Like an anthem in my heart
From now on
From now on
From now on
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!
And we will come back home
And we will come back home
Home, again!

This guy is actually an conductor (watch carefully his moves at the beggining), so it's all normal for him to be in front of everybody ;)

Wow.
The harmony is unique but I think it more perfect if they put a powerful forte in every alive beat
无伴奏合唱 唱的真不错

3:54 you can see Jake from NF4 in the upper left
Joey at 5:22
