Flynt Coal was a running gag in the early Minecraft Lets Plays when they didn't know how anything worked as they found flint and coal they joked they it would be a cool name and they also used in X-Ray and Vav.

+Dan Wild On the contrary, shes pretty much ruled by her emotions. Yang is not a very strong character core wise. An arm gone and shes completely out of the commission, yet Ruby's soldiering on without stopping
Neon and Nora should definitely hang out sometime...but I fear their combined energy would implode the planet.

ya know what i love about team Funky, their the opposite of sore losers. they actually PRAISED their opponents and was like "yeah lets totally hang out and party sometime" i mean you gotta love their spirit and good sportsmanship!

maxwell simon well, i personally think it does. i dont think they have generally mean personalities but they just have strong competitive spirits but are able to let it go quickly after being defeated. idk, i just thought they would be sore losers throughout the fight so their odd excitement for their opponents victory threw me off a bit. of course its also possible that their congratulations at the end were superficial or sarcastic but i didnt get that vibe myself. maybe i missed it lol. idk i think their cool tho

Oh, ok, that makes sense. Flynt seems alright to me though, he wasn't nearly as irritating as Neon, but if I were in Yang's place, I personally wouldn't be able to stand her, and I probably wouldn't want to talk to her afterwards.
I'd really need to see more of Neon though to be able to better judge her personality though, and I do hope we get to see more of her, Flynt and whoever their other two team mates are next season.
maxwell simon I'd love to see more of them too, i think once their character is developed more we'll know how to judge what kind of personalities they have. but yeah Neon irritated me sooooo much when i first saw this fight, i didn't like her at all, Flynt too kinda annoyed me. but we'll just have to wait and see how they turn out.

See what I love about Neon is that she knows what she is doing by insulting Yang. Most battles are won even before they begin by trying to throw off your opponent mentally by getting to them. Exactly what happened to Yang. Now even tho she lost, it was a smart move on Neons part
I mean kind of. it's still bad overall for neon because her fighting style so far depends on having others around to help finish an opponent off. if it was just yang vs. neon she'd lose
Also Flynt did pretty much the same thing but it didn't get to Weiss as much because she knew her family was shit even without the insults
I'm more impressed by Flynt's use of the terrain and abilities to use skill strategize against enemy attacks. They were playing by real tag team skills this whole fight and showing they can fight alone as well.

Can’t remember which one, but there was a fanfic where someone (I believe it was Weiss) calls Yang a bimbo in a teasing banter fashion. Yang simply responds with “Hey, I resent that. Bimbo implies that I’m dumb. I know what I’m doing, that makes me a harlot.”

The fact that Flynt's music is actually part of the soundtrack makes this even better
You can tell the pace of the battle based solely on the music. The punk rock is Yang. The almost opera is Weiss. The trumpets are Flynt. And the techno beats are Neon. And depending on who is fighting. Different instruments play.
In the end. Yangs theme plays, and it becomes more and more prevalent as she begins to win. After Flynt is eliminated, the trumpets get quite and yangs full theme plays.
Absolutely fantastic!
I felt that with SSSN vs NDGO as well, with the back and forth of the piratey-sounding music and smooth strings.

I do NOT envy the artist who's responsibility it is to do the music for the Anime adaption. The pressure for matching the incredible music of this series has to be daunting as hell.
The music was a big part of why I didn't like the Ice Queendom anime...the music in this show, especially the first 3 volumes, is just so ingrained and a part of what it is.
Weiss looks so beautiful in this design I never liked the current design

@@i_like_protein frrr i dont rly like her design in volume 8 and most of team rwby’s design at that. Weiss looks rly mature in that outfit but ive always (and still do) taken her to have more of the “hot headed spoiled rich girl but tries to act mature” kinda vibe
they also unflattened Weiss in the later seasons.
i miss tbis weiss and her winter outfit, not a fan of how she looks in vol 7 :/

imagine if that was the backstory of her team! she just ends up being incredibly obnoxious, but they decide to use it as a potential strategy to throw off their more emotional enemies! awesome!

I really like FNKI, because each combatant here was hand picked to fuck with RWBY in the best way possible. Flynt is all but masterful at dealing with Weiss’ projectiles, and can easily take advantage of her ability to manipulate momentum. Meanwhile, Neon is TOO DAMN FAST for Yang to hit, and her constant quipping slowly breaks Yang’s psyche. She had it all but won, but she didn’t realize that being angry is exactly what Yang’s ein condition is.
I love Team FNKI. I think they are awesome and unique. I want to see them again

Axel Oli Actually it's because romance subplots have been part of American cinemas since the early 40's or so. Since then it's become so common that viewers instinctively look for romantic couples within a series. If there's something close but not quite there the brain fills in the blanks.
Axel Oli Bumblebee is considered one of those not-canon-canon ships. Heck, their voice actors and actresses ship 'em half the time (Barb is Bumblebee fan, Miles (at least was) an Arkos shipper).
Axel Oli it's also nice to see some LGBT representation even if it's fucking teased and never happens. just so long as it doesnt become something like in an actually anime because thats dumb as fuck. just... no. and i agree that some shippers are a bit... excessive with the shipping.... but there are times where you just really wanna ship it. at least thats how it is for me and my friends.... eh....whatever....idk what the fuck im talking about anymore
I personally find this to be one of Yang's defining moments. This just proves why she is my favorite character.

Well, I haven't watched the show in years at this point. My interest waned when Monty died and how empty volume 4 felt.
So I am writing a version of RWBY featuring my own OC's.
I've read various fanfics and they feel more cohesive than anything RT has done
Ironic bc I feel this is one of Weiss'. She still had 25 aura left before needing to be removed from the gang and rather than trust in herself to be able to take on the other two after they gang up on Yang, she gambles on taking out Flynn and trusts that Yang can bring it home

Oh trust me, I liked Weiss in this battle as well. Her little stunt inspired me for a moment when one of my OC's puts her faith in her leader, someone she has been at odds with ever since their team was formed.
My favorite part of this whole episode is the Jazz versions of Mirror,mirror and I Burn
Ruby's "Oh here we go..." gets me every time. Man I miss when things were simple enough for them to just roll their eyes and joke.
This is my favorite fight tbh, yang kicked ass and I love how Weiss sacrifices herself

Why is that it feels like this battle was the most creative with its music and characters like we see completely portal opposites between yang and weiss with Neo and Flynt with team Funky being all smirky charming and good sportsmen ship while team Ruby is just kinda like.. over confident during this season. It's so creative with these 4 fighting each other.

I actually enjoy this fight scene. I understand some people would rather have more physical elements but... I dunno... For me, it just felt like one of the more FUN season three fights. The ones before this were rather pedestrian, IMHO.

Fun fact,throughout the song, flynts trumpet plays key roles, but when yang knocks him out, her guitar overpowers him and becomes the melody, with trumpet only coming in for an ad-lib sort of thing

I honestly think if Weiss had stopped trying to beat Flint with Dust and just moved in for close combat with her sword, she would have won. A trumpet doesn’t seem like a good melee weapon.
