Thank you so much for this video. I ordered the tear drop part from amazon for £3.00 and my dryer is now fixed. Took me about 15 minutes, saved me £200 for a new dryer which I was on the verge of ordering till I saw your video. Brilliant, thank you.

Love this video. My dryer started squeaking a week ago. called a few people and was told repair would cost £45-65. Typed in 'Dryer Squeaking' on RUclips and this came up. followed the video and the problem was exactly as described. fixed it myself for £10. Woop woop. Thanks

So glad that I found your video, my dryer had the loud noise, I went on a help desk site who wanted me to pay £5 for technical advice which would then take £24 per month off me, but luckily your video solved my problem, and I have fitted a new teardrop bearing....happy days!
    Thanks a million!!

Then gave my machine a massive blast, problem still was there then found this video. Yes I had the black dust and the washer was defo collapsed. So bought another. Awesome :-)

I just wanted to post the most massive thanks possible for this video. My Indesit dryer has started making this noise. And it's excruciating. We are in the Covid19 lockdown so cannot bring anyone in to fix it or order a new dryer. This fix looks like its a 5min fix. Ordered the teardrop from eBay just now after seeing this.

@@goldgas1216 I got the part yesterday from an eBay seller, took about 10mins to attach. And it is now fixed. I am not exaggerating by saying you are a life saver. I was expecting to need to pay another £300-£400 for a new Dryer. That I could not afford during the Covid lockdown. It is unbelievable that's £3 attachment that takes 7mins to fix achieved this fix.

1:26 the plastic cover you removed at 1:26, is it important or just a cosmetic cover? The reason I ask is because my plastic cover has broken off and I'm wondering if its necessary to replace it. Also it appears the end of the rod has severed and the end has fallen off, hopefully I can replace this myself?

Fantastic video thanks! I've just commented on someone else's problem as halfway through a dry the noise is back 😐. Not as bad but still concerning . *cry . Just wondering if it could be something else in addition to the bearing ? The dryer was exactly as your video worn away , dropped , black dust. Everything . Textbook. But now the noise has come back 🤔😬 wondered if anyone else had this? Or if it could have been 2 problems originally?... much appreciation x

I turned the square plastic bearing block round on the back of the machine but the scraping noise is still present as if the front of the drum is rubbing on metal, but further investigation shows there is a felt lining between the front rim of the drum and the plastic door housing, looks like I will have to buy a new one 😢 thanks for video anyway 👍

Hello, I have the same problem, but before I made this wonderful video, I dismantled one of the sides of the dryer, and when I put the parts back in place, unfortunately, another sound became like the drum rubbing against parts of the dryer, and when I put the laundry in the dryer, some of them cling to the edges of the drum from the inside because it is not attached well. Please. Help me repair the dryer
