This collection of videos helped me tremendously. I have had the fundamentals down but seeing the mechanics through transitions is what I needed for it to really click. Thank you for your help
Great video as always but I’ve been watching you for months and JUST realize it’s drex factor just like X factor but with your name. don’t see how I missed that haha
Ha! Glad it connected ;) There are a lot of different sources for using the name X-Factor, but in this particular case the inspiration came from my obsession with comic books. X-Factor is a spin-off of X-Men at Marvel comics and there was a run of the comic in the 00s-early 10s written by Peter David (when X-Factor became a team of Private Investigators) that is one of my favorite comic runs of all time.
No sequence of them? xD I think including the extendelum v extendelum in its different t&d's would have opened up introductory turning and walking to incorporate movement and dance into poi spinning, but that's just my opinion maaaan
Sadly I didn't really have time to write a combo for this video. I was pretty crunched for time the week before FLAME festival when I shot it and that was one of the things that didn't make it in. I think a pendulum-based combo would be great to have in a combo tutorial one month this year!

This was the first I'd heard of a 1.5, and I'm now on a quest to unlock it. Thank you!
My pleasure! 1.5s are like Swiss Army Knives for poi transitions--you'd be surprising how many transitions are buried inside of them!

1.5 is such an old thing to me but the way you used it in front plane for transitions revealed some combos i never thought of before!
I started learning poi on August 4 at an Arise Festival workshop. Thank you for existing!!
It's the revengelum of the pendulum!
Way better joke! Shoulda had you write it ;)
Wish I had focused on working on pendulums sooner
I actually came up with the 1.5 myself and didn't know it was a thing I'm just surprised that you didn't put isolated pendulums in here.
Really nice and impressive. Thanks for sharing.
Need a regular stacking tutorial
Ty :D So helpful!
