Owned my Alfetta sedan from 1976 to 1981 until it was "rear ended" in a collision. Great car, and stood up well against the V6 Fords of the day. To honor its memory, I still have its rear boot lid badge displayed in my bar to this day.

But.....nothing can change is All Alfa Romeo car since engine temperatures rise up will lose engine oil most in hot season or driving a long way or driving harder( not for long )keep engine rpm in 3500~5500rpm keep gears in 2 and 3( hillclimb )after that will changing engine oils including filters ( 4.5 bottle ) By the way all Alfa Romeo car owners real sick about is by electric parts problem getting shorty or shut down ! headlights, taillight, interior signal lights, one good, two bad ? Most of in rainy season happening ! In same time my father's other car Alfetta GTV 2.0 same problem, same way ! After in 91' I got my father Alfetta sedan driving daily and take care my Alfetta sedan it's good until 98' Alfa Romeo sales been push me changing to alfa-75, Alfa-164, but I don't like it ! forget about 164 is FWD, about alfa-75 only good is more bigger, more space, but chassis and engine is really sucks ! It is same look as for other cars The car manufacturers are stuck in a rut. Some of the vintage Alpha’s were drop dead gorgeous. A classic Alpha revival could do the job। There is nothing outstanding about the looks of this car!

American road tests of new-generation Alfas carry the usual reports of check engine lights prematurely ending test drives. The inexcusable continuation of inept factory management, resulting in poor reliability, has doomed this brand regardless of fancy new models.

I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed more than 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again! Buy an AUDI, BMW or Mercedes instead.!!

Love it great design I’ve owned Alfa fiat and lancia all great well apart from the fact they are Italian and everything I’ve ever owned Italian breaks down and is pretty weak so lesson learned there. Never again sadly will I fork out good money for anything Italian.
