If someone doesn't buy this before it gets taken back behind the fence to be scrapped they'll have missed out on a great restoration opportunity Benny .
Whoa Nelley, 1972 and it's over for you. 1972 is the first year that GM passenger car VINs have the engine code. It was also the transitional year (in some cases) for Fisher Body trim tag codes and by 1973 most were the division and letters and numbers rather than all numbers as seen here. We got the VIN, we win: 4 for Buick, D for Skylark, 37 for two door hardtop, H for 350 CID V8 with two barrel, 2 for 1972 model year, H for Flint, MI assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Flint MI plant was the Buick "home" plant and operated from 1904 to 1999. The floors are rotted up front. LOL. Yes, that appears to be a later 307 Oldsmobile V8 as it has an electronic Quadrajet, and I might say it's probably 1984 or so or newer based on the black valve covers. We got the tag, we can brag: ST72 for 1972 model year, 43337 for Buick (4) Skylark (33) two door hardtop (37), FL1 for Flint, MI assembly, 135 for Saddle vinyl interior trim, 75 for Fire Red lower exterior paint, A for White vinyl top, 11B for the second week of November 1971 production, and A65 for three passenger split back front bench seat with armrest. Whoa Nelley, 1972 and it may be through. Skylark lost its' bark. That's it, time to quit. Made in Flint but didn't take the hint. Painted Fire Red and may soon go to bed. Might be flat and that's that. "A" body looking a bit shoddy. Vinyl top took a big flop. Please don't get squished because all of the ""A" body faithful, perhaps Benny, many here and for sure the Google Man are all going to be very, very, very, very, very pissed.
70-72 Skylarks were the best. Had a ‘70 droptop with 350, that girl cruised to over 250k miles. Body gave up but I live in northeast. Great Car, gotta save her 👍

@@ClassicRideSociety I have that type of money on in case something pops up. It would’ve been hard to get another project while living in Atlanta. Still have 6 cars in Dallas now. It was very close.
I did an oil change on my cousin-in-law's newer Dodge Ram pickup this morning and it wasn't bad, but I couldn't wait to get done and cleaned up. LOL. It's a bit humid where I am. We had to go get everything, wait for the truck to cool off and then clean up after we were done.
The interior on this is interesting! I've never seen that - a dark red and white interior. The seats have both colors, the door panels are white, but the dash and carpeting are dark red. An interesting combination. If the car was dark red with a white vinyl top, the interior would reflect what the exterior looked like.

Cool old car. Someones abandoned restoration project🤔
Agreed
I sincerely hope someone saves this!

Mr. B. Here ! 🍔☕️👀😎👍🇺🇸. $1500 is fair safety items first & transmission may need work, should be saved ! Benny time to go cool off man ! 🧊🧊🧊🧊🍺🍺
That would be a cool one to snag.
She a lil rough. Worth saving? Yeah I think so. Worth $2500? Eh..... $2000 would be better.
Poor Benny earned his money with this video…I felt hot just watching. Thanks for sharing hope it gets saved.
$2500 isn't the worst thing I've heard. Maybe they'll take $2k or even $1900 if it sits for a while.
It's a great project for sure!
Good project car
She’s beautiful !!!!
vice grip garage can drive it home as is
I wouldn't doubt it
$2500 is a fair deal I think.
I think they may even take a little less. $2k might take it

$2500??? what are they smoking?.....looks like a $250 car.
Unfortunately those days are long gone 😄😞
Looks like someone tried to start restoring it, probably ran out of money , after all most projects these days are money pits !
Good daily driver!
Something is better than nothing 😂
I’m guessing it’s a 1970 Skylark with a 1972 rear bumper

I almost pulled the trigger on this car in Dallas. Too rich for my blood
Did you try to negotiate with them. I thought they seem like they'd be willing to take a little less.

Thank you Benny, your commitment to the videos is appreciated. Even with the oppressive heat you keep 'em cranked out. Hope someone saves the skylark!
Damn I wish I could buy it
I need this car.
@@powerband5235 it was still sitting there the other day I passed by. $2500 was their asking price
@ClassicRideSociety what is the address?
I hope someone buys it.
Benny and the jets the body is not to bad it would make a good gs 455 clone if you could find the gs hood and buckets and console.
I actually have a gs hood. It's not in good shape though
If has a clean title it's a steel 👍🏻💯
Pretty sure they have a clean title for it
Some decent bones their.

That appears to me a custom upholstery job on those seats to me.
Originally saddle (tan) interior.
TAKE IT TO THE CRUSHER 😅
They'll part it out before that happens
