Usally it's here when one knows if the AF is good vs fast or both. If it handles the bad light, etc. I am as you, "point n shoot" and I don't want to fiddle around to much since this a big risk "of losing the moment".
The screen on mine DOES flip up for selfie view. You just have to tuck it in to its frame properly. UPDATE: My bad, mine is an NX300M (assumed they were the same)

The NX3000(2014) is a newer camera. But offers a lower shutter speed range: 1-1/4000 and has NFC (near field communication) to use with your smart phone. While the NX300, last year's model(2013), offers a higher shutter speed range of: 1-1/6000 and, like the NX3000, it also has NFC. A higher shutter speed range gives you the ability to freeze the image faster. The processor in both cameras is the same/Samsung's DRIMe IV processing engine. Image quality will be the same in both cameras producing great image quality! Enjoy!

Yes, you can use tons of lenses with appropriate adapters (but you'll have to focus manually) : Canon EF, Canon FD, Nikon F/G, Minolta MD, etc, etc

Just figured out you can adjuat flash brightness in the menu too... For normal indoor use I turn mine down for a much nicer effect.
