This is the best interview/story so far I've watched about Eddie's death and life

Thank you for such a wonderful and heartfelt tribute to our King Edward.
The Missus woke me up crying and for the entire day we couldn’t listen to a note of King Edward without the waterworks comin’ - so many good times with his music -it felt weird
We found watching interviews with him and other kind folks like yourself paying tribute to Eddie makes it somewhat easier to bear. We literally had a day of intensely mourning. It might sound daft but Ed’s playing and attitude is hugely responsible for inspiring me to be the person I am.
There’s a Bad Religion ( Punk Band ) Lyric that says it al “ Everyone you love leaves a mark on your soul,
The world is a little less bright without King Edward
Im fighting cancer and depression and its been especially tough with the news of Eddie’s passing but hearing all these wonderful tributes and reaction and the love and joy he brought and is bringing….makes it a tad bit easier
Much love and respect! Thank you for honouring our King Edward. Eddie's music touched us so deeply because of his love for the instrument and the innovations he has done. To us, it feels like the brightest and best brother, Uncle, friend mentor you ever had is not in our realm anymore. You have Nothing but love from the rock/metal / guitarist community, respect for your tribute to EVH, Rock n Metal does not get the exposure and respect that other genres get.
So, you are forever in the hearts of many a Rock / Metal / Guitar fan's hearts. Stay safe & all the best wishes to you. Watch this Video Interview and you'll see why we're hurting so much...The world is a little less bright without King Edward This is a brilliant interview if you haven’t seen it ruclips.net/video/yb26D8bBZB8/видео.html&ab_channel=Z%C3%B3caloPublicSquare
    Enjoy EVH ruclips.net/video/L9r-NxuYszg/видео.html&ab_channel=Hazardteam

Absolutely love Stevie, and he nails how most of us feel about Eddie, it's painful to know he's gone, even though we haven't heard much from VH in the last 20 years, when you put any VH record on today, it's still fresh.

    EDDIE VAN HEAVEN!!!!
Ya know....I think the phrase Guitar hero was really coined after EVH....He is/was the ultimate guitar god....his sound, the paint job on his guitar...the fact that he combined/crafted pieces of a Gibson and fender guitar by hand to create that brown sound....there are peices of the electric guitar and amplication that exists only because of his innovative musical mind....get it? yes he's that important to the Rock n Roll world...and anyone that looked at the electric guitar with awe...
    Great tribute guys, thank you

great interview, Stevie. Nice to hear your thoughts on Eddie. You and I traded e-mails some years ago. I mentioned that I am longtime friends with Lonnie Hillyer,
who played bass with you for a bit. I am also longtime friends with Tom Feeley, who I believe you know as well. I once asked TM Stevens if you might play a gig
in New York sometime and I think he said that you weren't going to come here. You're one guy I have yet to see that I would love to see playing. Anyway, thanks
for the interview and keep on rockin'!

Thanks for your great insight. I've been watching Eddie interviews thanks to the internet and he was a very smart person, very good storyteller and like a teacher. Funny as hell too, but you can see he is serious about making music so people have fun. That smile, rebel smile kind of!!!

Truly sad but Eddie will be honored. EVH is such a ground breaking guitarist and a wonderful musician. As a guitarist for book trailers about comics who's influenced by Van Halen, I wish Eddie a hymn while missing his presence that inspires.

EVH inspired 2 generations of guitar players....let that sink in. 2 GENERATIONS. And now with his passing, and so many young ppl are now discovering and learning about EVH and what he accomplished, you can change that number to 3 generations in the very near future.

I do agree that Eddie changed music like Hendrix but so did kurt Cobain when he came out with that grunge sound. I heard Eddie say tone and sound is what its all about.

    • @Chris-is1rd

If you think Cobain invented the "grunge" sound, you weren't listening to anything before Nirvana

    • @rickgregory9870

@@Chris-is1rd l heard all the grunge bands before but kurt was the one that opened the door for grunge. That's why he changed music plus he was alot better than mudhoney and the other bands at that time . Even soundgarden admits that.🤏🍀

Eddie was way more eventful and he changed the electric guitar and modern music in all its many forms and how to play it way more than Hendrix and even Les Paul. Because because he was a master at all the genres that he wanted from Rock ,Hard RockBlues,Country And even some of the Jazz inflections that interested him . His showman ship was second to none,Not Hendrix ,Paul, Clapton, nor Beck ,nor SRV. EVH invented so much on stage, videos, CD's, and live shows. He wrote, music, lyrics, expanded styles and so much more. Hendrix was great at what he did ,but he didn't excel at all the vast amount of things EVH did, as a musician ,entertainer (This is where Hendrix equaled EVH, But not surpassed everyone else.EVH however managed to equal or surpass anyone, everyone in almost all areas of Music.Eddie Van Halen had better technique, more expansive knowledge base, he was faster and more inventive stylistically than Hendrix or about anyone that came before him . We will miss him, his fire and inventive guitar abilities for many, many years to come. We are fortunate to have lived in the best years of guitar playing from Les Paul, Chet Atkins, Eddie Van Halen ,Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the many many inventive, masterful and exquisite Guitarists (too many to list here.)
