The umpire did a LOUSY job. Such long serve of almost 5 to 7 seconds will break anyone's concentration! That's their game plan. The umpire should warn the cheating Korean pair.

I found Gideon is not easy in this game. Since Kevin sometime poped into the front court in order to intend to make a "better" shot even if Gideon already is in the posistion and then Gideon have to cover the rest of the court. I know Gideon is not as good as Kevin in front court. However, Kevin kept poping in to Gideon position (front court) , it is so hard for Gideon to make the move and need to cover more areas since Kevin jump in and not making the kill. I also feel Kevin is not really trust Gideon unlike the Ahsan/Setiawan

Another big upset as the top seeds Gideon and Sukamuljo get upended by the young and powerful Korean pair of Choi and Seo. The Minions had looked vulnerable after crashing out of the Thailand Open despite winning two titles on the trot prior to that. Choi and Seo, however, don't have a record of being consistent winners and may get stopped by other opponents later.

Gideo and sukamuljo treat this like it's a fighting match it's so funny and entertaining but also pumps them up
But if the Minions won, people wouldn’t have anything to say to the Koreans’ serve lol. Let’s admit that the Indonesians, Gideon in particular, made a lot of errors on this match. That’s why he was the main target. Anyway, it was a great game overall. It’s a disappointment for the world number 1s but let’s not blame it on the Koreans, as they played so well. Though the umpire should’ve warned the players about taking too long. It’s a game, players are bound to lose/win. We all know the Minions will come back stronger anyway :)

Yeah I know they will be stronger, but it's still such a big disappointment because next year there is no any world champ, I'm concern with Markus because in 2021 he will be 30 years old, hopefully he still have power in that age and can win many high prestigious.
People may find it a disappointing result but watching the match in full i can say the koreans deserved to win, and not because gid/suk underperformed

Choi took too long to serve, however, it was a strategy but not ethical for an international match.
The amount of people moaning about bad sportsmanship from the Koreans are far too happy to ignore Kevin's behaviour at 20-16 in the first set. Fake hitting it then trying to stare down the Korean pair. Classic hypocritical fanboys ignoring the behaviour of the team they support.

You have your way of playing as long as it's not breaking rules and the ref isn't calling you out on something, then it's fair game. Also they dominated for so long, you really think eventually people aren't going to start to play at their level or figure them out? Especially younger guys coming up because they aren't getting younger only older so they will eventually start getting owned too.

lol indo fans would be quick to point out the "unsportsmanship" of delaying serves but won't look twice at the miss swings kevin did claiming it's "psy warfare". There's nothing wrong with delaying serves until you're ready, obviously within reasons. Holding serve until you're ready and to change the timing from your opponent, that's not poor sportsmanship, that's just smart.

Honestly, I dislike the delay in serving from Korean players (and their shouting either), but as long as the umpire does not catch that, they are not disqualified. Something in between strategy and lack of sportmanship.
Talking about lack of sportmanship, I agree with above opinion that the frontcourt minion is no. 1. Looking at intentional last-second swing at 20:15 and 24:20. The commentator even said it Sukamuljo's TRADEMARK. In serving, Gideon always does swaying the shuttles and Sukamuljo lifts the shuttle. Last time when playing against Malaysian, Sukamuljo finished rally and stood at the net staring at their opponents. I like the minions' performance, but not their attitude. (edited)
