These are suuuuuch good suggestions 😱 A lot of the girls who auditioned for Elle when I was in the show used these songs for their auditions!!
4:27 getting flashbacks from mean girls jr and our director tortured us with this song 😂😭
Hi I just found your channel and I’m in love with it! Quick suggestion could you review Footloose Jr, thanks for reading this and have a great day. 😊
I can take a look at it :) Thank you for the suggestion!
@@cayleejothank you so much I’m about to audition for Wendy Jo in footloose at my school in a week and a half! I really hope I get the role.
Yay, like I said, my friend is auditioning for leaglly blonde jr so im sending this to her
Thank you! I hope it's helpful for her :)
hey! great video! do you happen to have any recommendations for rizzo in grease? preferably that aren’t about love or any inappropriate topics (this is for an older kids-teen group)
is there any chance you could recommend audition songs for tenors in Mean Girls (specifically aaron, but i will take what i can get)? i'm trying out for aaron in september, and i'm totally clueless on what to sing that really suits him!
The FIRST song that came into my head was "Women and Sandwiches" from Freaky Friday! I think that could be an amazing choice because it fits that tenor range and the more lighthearted vibe of the character. "Simple Sponge", from Spongebob the Musical, could work too, just drop the nasally aspect most use and sing it as if Aaron were singing it. Otherwise some potential options I would suggest are "Ten Minutes Ago" from Cinderella or "Her Voice" from Little Mermaid. "Alive" from Next to Normal could also be an option, but heavier content-wise than some of the others. Break a leg!
@@cayleejo thank you so much!!
I was thinking of doing Watch What Happens!! Feel like it’s a good upbeat belty funny character fit. Thoughts? Haven’t auditioned in awhile so not sure if it fits in the “overused” camp
Hey Caylee! Do you have any audition song suggestions for the delta nu girls? Specifically Serena, im pretty confident that i will be using Journey to the past from Anastasia but i wanted your insight!
This is perfect! Do you have any recommendations for auditioning for Regina George from the mean girls musical? 😅 I’ve been trying to look for some for a while
This comment is timed so perfectly. I just left a performance of “Ranked” the musical and couldn’t stop thinking about how great so many of those songs would be for Regina! Specifically any of the songs sung by the character Sydney. I highly recommend checking it out! It’s also a lesser known show so I doubt you would find many others using them. Break a leg!
@@cayleejo thank you so much! 😭 my school is doing a production of mean girls soon, and I’ve been trying to find a good song to use for my audition, I appreciate it!
Hi! I am redoing my book post-college and I'm HUNTING for a good uptempo contemp song. I'm a belter so something chesty is the goal. I play relatively young so I try to stay away from mature songs even if they're technically my age (no Last Five Years bc unfortunately no one would believe I've lived long enough to have a five-year+ relationship and be married lol). I also really try to keep to unknown musicals or brand-new shows that haven't caught wind yet. I would appreciate any help or just any new shows to listen to! I've already written down to listen through Ranked after reading some of the comments :)
Please go look at "Another Chapter" from Between the Lines! It may be THE audition song for you. It just hit off-Broadway in 2022 and rights were released within the last few months, so it's really under the radar at the moment.
I know I’m super late to this video but these are amazing! I love your channel! It’s super helpful!
Do you have any song recommendations for High School Musical? I have an audition coming up and I’m struggling to find a song haha. In a perfect world the song would match both Sharpay and Gabriella but if that’s not possible I would love some Sharpay options. I’m a soprano but I can also use chest voice easily. My mix belt isn’t bad but if I get up too high it becomes shaky and wobbly. If you had any song ideas I would really appreciate it!
Thank you! 😊
Hi there! I have several song suggestion for you ( a few of which I also mentioned in this video):
-"One Perfect Moment", Bring It On
-"Someday", The Wedding Singer
-"Morning Person", Shrek
-"I See Stars", Mean Girls
-"Just One Day", Freaky Friday (first 66 seconds is very Sharpay-esque)
-"No More Fear", Freaky Friday
-"So Much Better", Legally Blonde
To be honest, I am realllyyyy gravitating towards "One Perfect Moment"! I think it could be the PERFECT song for your audition. "So Much Better" is my personal second choice. I hope some of these help!
Oh my gosh thank you so much! This is super helpful! You’re a total life saver. I have used one perfect moment for an audition with this company before. This was in 2022. Do you think it’s still ok to use? I do feel like I’ve improved a lot since I sang it last.
I think beings it has been 2 years since the last time you sang it, it’s fair game! Especially if you’ve improved since then ♥️. Break a leg!
Thank you so much!
You did NOT just use a song from Bad Cinderella!!! That poor show was doomed from the start; the cast and crew really gave it their best shot. Love to see CHF gettin some love across the pond! I have auditions for Legally Blonde soon at my high school-I'm only a sophmore but Elle is one of my dream roles and I'm one of the only girls in my program who can belt that high, so my parents tell me not to expect much, but I can't help getting my hopes up.
Break a leg! I have personally cast underclassmen over upperclassmen on several occasions, including a 7th grade Dorothy in Wizard of Oz (at a 6-8 school) and a freshman Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting (9-12 school) - it's all about who is the BEST fit for that role, and that isn't always an upperclassmen. I think the key to Elle's character is her warmth - too many people play her as a Regina George type or incredibly ditzy, but she's truly not, she's always seeking to do the right thing and really cares about the people around her, that's the most important part of Elle's character, in my opinion.
@@cayleejo Thanks for the encouragement!! I definitely agree that Elle is really an intelligent and compassionate character, and I love that about her. I just really hope my director feels the same!
This is... just a few months after you posted this, but my local theatre is doing Legally Blonde next year and I'm hoping to audition for either Elle or Enid Hoops. Are there any songs you think would work with both? Or maybe just Enid?
Someday was also a suggestion for Sophie In Mamma Mia. Is that true? Because If I ever do Mamma Mia that is the song is am choosing
I'm trying out for a junior version of Legally blonde, would Brand new you from 13 be a good pick? I'm really comfortable and confident with that song.
Which character?
Hey, we haven’t seen a vid in a while. All good?
Thankyou for checking in, that’s incredibly kind! I’m in the middle of moving houses and the buying/selling process has soaked up all of my free time, but I hope to get a video out this week or next 🤞🏼.
@@cayleejo Lovely to hear! Good luck!
