This is an excellent podcast for a comprehensive understanding of CKD basics and just what my 74 yr old husband needs to listen to for following his lab work as he is pre diabetic and hypertensive with high triglycerides. Hubby has never been obese and is active everyday (works on cars) but he cant stay away from the sweets and the menudo! Thank you again and I look forward to many more podcasts like this one!!!! 💯
@@bwoodward9564 Zach is a yo yo-er, it happens when you work around the clock like he does.....CKD is not just based on diet alone, for instance, my son is a type 1 diabetic and has the same risks if not more than someone who has lifestyle habits. Carnivore is the worst thing for anyone with CKD as everything is connected to cardiovascular and your weakened veins on a meat diet will seriously land you in the hospital or the coffin with even minimal plaque build up.
Hi, can you please consider making future videos on drugs affecting the thyroid, anti-sickness medication and general anaesthesia ? Really appreciate all the content, thank you!
Hey ninja nerd, I was wondering if you could do a video basically linking all of metabolism together. Maybe youve already done this and I just couldnt find it, but I think if you did a video where you drew out glycolysis, TCA, PDC, ETC, ß-oxi, gluconeognesis, glycogenolysis, and ketone oxidation, etc., tied them all together, and showed how they connected, and how various hormones and regulatory mechanisms can change how they work together depending on the fed, early fasting, fasting, and starved state. might be a long video, but It would help connect all the dots and see the big picture for so many people, myself included!
Please just do these alone. It’s less distracting when you’re the only one teaching. I want to hear you explain comprehensively without being interrupted. Also, just like you show lab values and physical exam on screen, please do the same for the CC HPI A&P
I love this new style of teaching with the constant interaction between you two really helping me to stay focused. Very practical and relaxing.

Try carnivore diet. Bart Kay. More science with him than these guys. Zach is seriously overweight.
