THE RAIN!! That was a shocker, I imagined the weather was going to be more "humid" than Italy but my god 😅

Portugal really needed it after the wildfires of the last few years. Most rain they've had in 8 years, but good to see the reservoirs back at reasonable levels in most places.

I honestly don't understand why prices are going up at such an alarming rate. Not just in Portugal. How on earth are people expected to manage, particularly in countries where people do not get paid a good income or, in some cases don’t work at all. It's ridiculous. Prices go up, but people's incomes don’t. Thanks for the video

I know this is not feasible for everyone, but I dislike the idea of renting because the rents can start to go high which can make life a bit more difficult but also paying rent is like tossing money in a hole. I would try to purchase property if possible and unless the property tax starts to sky rocket, you might be a little more cushioned when the prices start to swing. Even if the property taxes start to jump, at least you have equity in your property and you can perhaps sell it and move somewhere cheaper if need be.

It is interesting that you only mention the fact the prices go up, but dont explain why, the prices went up, but also the quality of live, the urban areas are being regenerated and there are more leasure and green spaces all arround the city. More services and more oportunities.

CPLP :- Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries have just to arrive in country border posts, and then arrange their own temporary residency permits; and this is much different than waiting for years for an embassy appointment abroad beyond the immediate situation!🏥

The whole situation is too volatile - in Portugal and everywhere in Europe and rhe US. This isn't a good time to make a major life decision. It's a time to sit and monitor things before making any commitment.

Looking for applying for a digital nomad at Portugal or Spain, 5k dollars monthly, deeply worried about cost of living and taxes, what do you say about Spain? I have the benefit of citizenship after only 2 years, while Portugal is 5...

Portugal is average af. Come to Chania Crete instead. Btw I haven't been to Braga or Porto, only Lisbon, Cascais and entire Algarve. Cascais is probably the best of 3 but water is still freezing year round and windy af

@Cd1988B 💯 and the awful cheap Robusta coffee culture tops it off to not live there. Ofcourse you can find good coffee in some places. For example Lagos is the only town in the entire Algarve that you can find high quality speciality Arabica with correctly trained Baristas. Everywhere else you have to put up with burnt rubber Robusta poorly made 😒

@DarthFurball Name them. Coffee and Waves and Black and White Coffee has equally the best ☕️ I have had in Portugal. Plus you didn't address the point on how terrible a standard Portuguese Coffee is. Quality coffee isn't in their culture like Australia where I am from
