bittersweet - FX3 Cinematic Short Film

The film “bittersweet" is the sequel to my previous personal video “lost.” I wanted to create a video in response to this search and, once again, I take you into my deepest thoughts and feelings.
I’m currently working on a new travel film from the Philippines and really wanted to release “bittersweet” in English before completing new work.
The footage for this film was shot on the Portuguese island of Madeira, which gained significant meaning for me five years ago when I read a book my mother wrote about everything surrounding the passing of my father. There are several symbolic images in the video that refer to specific moments in my life.

I’ve never been sick, just, a little lost
Always chasing something that was already there
Sometimes, I searched and couldn’t find
But often without the search, I knew to look where
I don’t know what I want, which path I need to take
There’ll always be a new storm
with difficult choices I need to make
A scream of anger,
and tears of sadness,
I should cry from joy,
But mostly feel like a mess
Because, occasionally, I fall
Like water, endlessly deep
when I look up, I realize
I just need to take the leap
Start looking for myself, searching for the stories
Determine my own path, that once looked so cursed
Now, beautiful things only keep getting more beautiful
mostly because I had to get lost in the search first
It once felt so bitter,
But what made it incomplete?
I think I understand it now,
Life is just bittersweet

The natural lighting, contrasts and shadows were very well captured in this. That shot on the beach and water was amazing. Very well done. I make movies too and recently finished a cinematic diary about the last two months in New York City. I'd be really grateful if you could take a look Zilver :)
