Alan Rickman has always been one of my favorite childhood actors. His role as Severus Snape in the HP movie series was amazing. I truly miss him sometimes.
Richard Harris was perfect as Dumbledor for the first 2 movies and Michael Gambon was just as perfect to step into the role for the rest of the movies as they got darker.
I was crushed to hear about Richard Harris' passsing, because, for me, he embodied Albus Dumbledore to perfection. I really wanted Jim Dale to take over as the voice since I confused both of them during the Sorcerer's Stone previews, their voices were nearly identical. Michael did good, but Jim/Richard will always be the Headmaster of Hogwarts; just as Rickman and Coltraine will forever be Professor Snape and Giant Hagrid, in my eyes. God rest their souls.
"Always." That single word, that immortal line, delivered to perfection by Alan Rickman, will be for me the greatest moment in any of the films. RIP to all those we have lost.
Alan Rickman, Richard Harris, Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon are the ones that emotionally hurt me the most. They have always been some of my favorite childhood actors. I will miss them alot.😥
😭😭😭😭 I teared up as you listed these actors off. Especially Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane. My parents knew them from their older works, but my sister and I were introduced to them in these landmark movie series. My Dad may have known Coltrane as one of the robbers in Nuns on the Run, but I will ALWAYS know him as the big-hearted (literally) Rubeus Hagrid. Thank you for releasing this video. HP is my favourite movie series ever, even beating out Star Wars, and every one of these actors made the stories some of the most powerful in cinema history
There's also Rob Knox (Half-Blood Prince, d. 2008), Roger Lloyd Pack (Goblet of Fire, d. 2014), Dave Legeno (d. 2014) and Sam Beazley (Order of the Phoenix, d. 2017). Ian Laidlaw
*Robbie Coltrane's* passing hit me the hardest, and it's hard to believe it's been almost a year since his death. 😓🌂 He embodied the role of Rubeus Hagrid trumendously, similar to that of the entire cast. It's heartbreaking to realize that more and more cast members of these movies that I grew up with are sadly leaving this world. 😓 R.I.P to all these actors and actresses.
It is a shame that Robert Knox was not mentioned. 18 year old Knox was stabbed to death in May 2008. He intervened in a fight to protect his 17 year old brother Jamie, who was being threatened by a man armed with 2 kitchen knives. Now, here's an example of love.
That's what I immediately thought of. Not even an honorable mention? I understand that his role was relatively small but so was Verne Troyer's depiction of Griphook (before Davis took on the role.) Missed opportunity MsMojo🤦🏼♀️
" I might not be here forever but Hagrid will be here". Robbie Coltrane said that in the reunion show and well that hit hard:( Also true for the other great actors we lost..
I remember learning of Alan Rickman's passing. I had only been dating my fiance for about 3 months and I woke up to him on the phone. He told me "you wouldn't believe who passed away" I said "who" he said "our Snape"

All of them are upsetting but Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane arebthe ones that really made me devastated. Robbie Coltrane WAS Hagrid and although I think Alan Rickman was too old to play Snape I loved him in the part and he was one of my all time favourite actors.
The thing with deceased Harry Potter cast members and actors in general is that once you’re on screen, you can never die. You live forever on the silver screen.
Robbie Coltrane & Alan Rickman definitely hit me the most even when watching this video! Honestly all of these passings are so tragic, say what you will on this series as a whole the casting department & actors across the board truly embody these characters heart & soul! 🥺🙏
5:32 Hurt also played Winston Smith in a 1984 film production of George Orwell's _Nineteen Eighty-Four,_ and also portrayed the _Elephant Man_ and the War Doctor from _Doctor Who._
"It's really not goodbye after all." I love that quote and it speaks volumes when we lose another beloved actor/character from the series IRL. I think each one of the series actors passings has hit me in different ways. Most especially Alan Rickman, Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon.
