Kinda surprised to see Lex Luger top the list but... that is some solid reasoning. It's also a good reminder of why he was so prominent in wrestling throughout much of the 80s and 90s; he was talented and more than just an impressive physique. That he was overshadowed by all-time greats like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan should not detract from that.

(53:35) I never knew this was a difference in the rules between WCW and WWF/WWE. I always assumed that titles, all titles, could only change hands thru a pinfall or submission victory and could not change hands by disqualification or count out, unless it’s a special stipulation. This particular match wasn’t mentioned as having such a stipulation so I’m assuming that none existed. If the match did feature the stipulation that the belt could change hands under these circumstances, I’d appreciate the clarification.

I love that the top 10 is filled with NWA Stars. I knew Luger was gonna be #1. This is an awesome video, now, imagine doing the NWA World title history (with out going back as far as 1905) that started in 1948 as Jim Crockett Sr stared promoting wrestling which is the NWA World title we know as when we hear the name.

Duggan was mentored by Bruiser Brody. That's why he instinctively protects his booking by staying as strong as possible. He can always start an angle with a promo about how he was screwed

Lex Luger at number 1 totally deserving. Having followed his career through the eighties and such. I totally remember the oddest loss being to Michael Hayes and winning it back on NWA World Wide on a Saturday Night late night night. Was just odd. Not much press with Hayes holding the title at the time, even on TBS.

excluding those who we know well for tragic reasons, the greatest US champion in WWE was John Cena. throughout the history of the title ... Lex Luger absolutely

1:23:20 well lads at Cultaholic I am indeed very pleased to tell you there's another man who's held 3 titles at once and fairly recently as well.
Yes that's right. In 2019, Seth FREAKIN' Rollin held the Universal Championship, Tag Team Championship with Braun Strowman AND most importantly..............................................
    The UpUpDownDown championship.
I think we can all agree what's the most prestigious one.
