I guess it is for the best! I never did before because I would never hit it as I would only ever do 1 or 2 passes when I have it geared really tall and I normally don't use shitty LIPOs. 🤣 But I suppose even so, one less thing to worry about!
I concur. 2 purchased 2200mha Ovonics packs were never balanced themselves & were mediocre performance on the XK X350 . I care for my packs , have to on a budget & thats where the lower savings went sour. Watched & heard both sides about Evonics & have concluded to splurge and get the good top $ packs. Man can sleep way better , even if it's on cheap pbj, for a few days.
What kind of pack are you going with? I would measure to see the biggest you can fit and then find a battery that is the max mAh rating you can squeeze into it. Then get a good brand like SMC, Liperior, Gens Ace, etc. Even within the solids brands there can be big performance differences. My SMC 6,500 150C is about 2 mph faster than my SMC 5,200 130C. But I get it, I have more LIPOs that I know what to do with but if I was paying for them.... I would want the best bang for the buck I could get!
@@BriansRCStuffHRB 4000 60c been better than Ovonics ,also they stay snug in place & were going being used in new VXL Stampede which arrived open box , stripped steering servo , scratched and damaged .New Box said it all , upon arrival . Switched 3 of the Helis to Gens Ace and performance & Flight times are very good from an 800 mha 40c Lil pack. G/A Bashing Series are outta the Q, too big , taller battery post won't fix that & soon be shopping for same brand that fits where room is @ premium. Bigger esc fan on Bandit even hits canopy and patience is needed to pass back pin thru & in place.
For my setup neither of those battery’s would even get me car off the line for a no prep race plus I use only 2 cell lipos with a high kv motor and a castle esc spend the money folks on a good lipo one day you could have issues and your esc could go poof
@@slashraptor9317 I guess that one is a strong performer.... they make some turds too. It seems SMC is the best bang for the buck out there right now. Did you ever look at these in depth tests online? Some pretty good info but I see they have not run SMC's newest packs yet. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1767093-Battery-Load-Test-Comparisons
Nice information Brian the performance of these batteries really show that these companies are fudging the numbers for sales imo.
It has really gotten out of hand but what are you going to do. : (
Awesome video and Rc speed run. Thanks for the info on batteries. Have a good one and stay safe

What is your preferred LIPO. I don’t drag but my best is a 3s SMC 6500 150c.
