First time I hear about the story. Good luck on your quest for justice. Hope you get everything, by the time you done make sure they rename the University on your honor
If I could speak to Yolanda directly I'd tell her I'm sorry she had to go through all of it and then still paying a price for taking a stand. Sometimes, for whatever reason, wild things happen to the grandest of people. She's an undeniable force and I'm inclined to believe this will all not be in vain. She spoke so well for herself and I have no doubt in my mind that good things are on the way.
Just at exactly 13:44 of her story brought back memories of a rape case that took place in 2015 at Stanford University in the US - search People v. Brock Turner , Turner raped a student under the very circumstances who was drunk and unconscious. This story has so much similarities with that case. My question now is were these boys following the case because it made national news it was on almost every news channel in the US at the time in South Africa we had access to CNN? There’s just too many similarities for me.
I think there's one thing in common about this incidences they all take place when alcohol is involved number two girls must all consuming alcohol that they did not buy to prevent things like this
if I may ask; what did the friend say happened that night, where was she when you were raped, were you the only one drugged and lastly what happened to the guys who raped you ?
I really missed the part where she was raped n even naye doesn't remember but yet all she knows is dat someone must be blamed n charged for her recklessness🤔 Hai Kunzima ukuba yindoda emzansi!!!
I'm not one to scorn men before they're proven guilty for rape and there are alot of instances of men being falsely accused. But try being spiked, it's not nice. You lose all your senses and have no power or any consciousness. it's very different from just heavy drinking. She couldn't consent to having sex, so they took advantage of her and used a substance to do so. I mean maybe she could've watched her drink and been more vigilant and conscious of her decisions but she wasn't. Oksalayo she woke up the next day, having clear indicators of rape and was lied to. 🧎🏾♀️
She's saying multiple time "rape" ... people who are raping must be blamed and charged, her drunkeness has nothing to do with the movement. Listen with comprehension, don't just hear her words. Drunk or not, reckless or not rape culture is something that's happening in our country and that's the enemy.
So your response to a woman telling her story of being sexuallt assaulted is to spin the narrative and make her seem at fault.Ya you sound incredibly stupid right now.
She articulates so well. I could listen to her all day 😅
2016 was a revolutionary year. I’ll never forget all that we did.
What a powerful woman. You did not deserve such treatment. The university's behavior was truly disgraceful.
If "you have a purpose in life" was a person, its Yolanda🙌👏👏❤
This is going to be an iconic interview 41 years from now
Great conversation, all the best to Yolanda ❤❤

You’re story is so heartbreaking,All the best 🤍
I wonder why the previous judges found her guilty still, 2 times are the Supreme Court is nonsense. Glad she finally won

I didn't enjoy the interview cause she is speaking too fast .. so can't connect her story
she didn't articulate her own story well 😕

You go girl ,you deserve justice.

What were you planning to do with gawry details of her r*pe sicko?
"Recklessness"??? I'll hand you over to God.
@@AkhonaCele-n2j There are not a lot of men being falsely accused. There are, however, many women who are truly raped.
women tend to put themselves in such positions then turn story to destroy men career in the name of GBV . black men your on your own.

learn to listen.
