The use of the second ground will allow Genki to have some much needed alone time while Kintaro is in there. Gentaro is so very cute! I love this little family so much.
I understand gorillas mean visitors for the zoo, and visitors mean revenue. With the potential of seeing Gentaro and Kintaro less often, perhaps the zoo can set up a monitor to show visitors videos of Gentaro using the second ground.
Lol Kinny just wants to play, Genki is doing all she can to keep him away...Gentaro giving Dad the eye....almost as big as Momo...wow. Thx GL for the vid!👍

I haven't seen Gentaro and Kintaro play in awhile. Seems like Gentaro has been more focus on becoming more independent as of late. He's becoming a silverback!
Oh my goodness Gentaro has grown up so much😮😮😮 & is a gorgeous young silverback now 🥰😍🥰 I haven't watched this channel for quite a few months this year, last time I saw him he was really only just showing his Silverback traits mainly in his head shape and slight silver hair, look at him now...WOW Gentaro, so handsome I see he still loves to play with & tease Kintaro who appears in turn to drive poor Genki CRAZY😂, Genki looks good & of course Momotaro is being his adorable, fussy, funny, weird self 😂😂, SO glad to be "back" with this delightful family & seeing all the changes in them & the improvements to the enclosure... ❤❤❤

Yes it is amazing to see that Gentaro has a separate space. But what he truly needs is another zoo with a bachelor group. It’s time for him and time for Kiyo, Shabani son to start their next chapter in life. The longer they stay the more depressed I think the young males will become. They need to become silverbacks with other gorillas other than their family.

Gentaro is provoking momo and he is patient but it will only get worse. Gentaro is quick and fast now as he is growing. I hate to see one of them get hurt. I also want Gentaro happy he needs his own space and special gorillas lady to start his family. Please make this happen. We have all watched Gentaro as a baby now we are ready to see him have a family and troop.
Gentaro - truly on his way to his silverbackdom! He is a handsome fella! While unfortunate we don't get to see Gentaro whilst on the second ground, it is comforting to know Gentaro gets the opportunity to spread his wings, Genki might have some peace (although Kintaro was quite the rascal in this video), and Momotaro's patience is not tested. Happy to hear Gentaro and Kintaro may share the second ground they'll make quite the dynamic duo! 🦍🤍🖤
Gentaro is aggravating Dad, but I bet if/and/or Gentaro ever leaves for good, his Dad will miss him, not to mention Kintaro will be lost without his big brother ❤️❤️❤️

The last time Momotaro and Gentaro got into a very bad skirmish they both had some wound scratches. Momotaro walked up to Gentaro while Gentaro was cleaning his wounds, and had such concern and remorse in his eyes. Now Momotaro is hesitant to scold Gentaro, and moves away when his son is being naughty. Momo is a very patient parent. Sometimes though Gentaro does push his dad to the extreme.
I guess when Kintaro cannot play with Gentaro very much anymore, that all Kintaro can think of to do is pester Genki instead lol. But Genki doesn't seem as if she is in the mood to play though. I haven't seen that so far anyway.
They do need a second space for Gentaro and Kintaro, but I wouldn't want Kintaro to be permanently separated from his mum. He's still young and enjoys contact with her and she clearly loves him. I really like Gentaro so would love to see him happy and for peace to reign in Momotaro's and Genki's space. However I would really hate not to see the two brothers any more, they are so much fun. ❤
As to Momotaro scratching his head often, could he have aggravating itchy skin condition like psoriasis? Or maybe something he's allergic to in his feed? It's very inflamed looking. ❤️🕊 Thank you for your hard work bringing us these videos! 🏆👏

Although I would hate not to see all the family I understand that it’s something that is necessary. And someone had the great idea of setting up a camera so we could still see them! Fabulous idea! Everyone will have more peace and it will make them happier. Their wellbeing is the most important thing after all. Kintaro loves being close and mommy. Hi GL, I am a new subscriber and I love this family, I have been watching for a little while , I wanted to thank you for loving and being so caring to this family they are beautiful. I think they are all 4 just amazing, I think it wonderful they are putting the welfare of this wonderful family first. Gentaro is so huge already, about a year ago he was about Kiyo`s size, but now he is more like his father. This changes sure will make a lot of changes in their interactions. One or two more years or so, and a serious problem can occure even with second ground
My dumb ass was thinking the shelter room was the second floor this whole time. If the fights are as concerning as people say, staff should've opened the 2nd floor much sooner

The last time we saw the two, Momo and Gentaro's, weights on display (August 30) Momotaro has 70 pounds more on his son. That's 70 pounds of pure Silverback annihilation if seriously provoked.....Sweet Gentaro does not want to seriously provoke the Momotaro!!!! This zoo needs to stay vigilant with these two magnificent animals or Mama Genki will have to get involved and that could get ugly!!
Will they not let us see them in the second floor?! If not, why? Yes Gentaro almost seems like he is challenging Momotaro. And Kintaro is relentless in being a pest to his Mom!! ❤️🕊
Is this sub ground area what a lot of us call a basement? I would like to suggest creating a lean-to. It is a 3 sided enclosure with a Roof that farmers have for horses. The animals have pretty good protection from the weather but it is a little cozy and you can still see them. You can choose to put a high bench and a low bench in there if you want, also. I love the Momotaro family and I just want them to be happy❤️❤️❤️❤️

There needs to be a new exhibit maybe for bachelor's group, there will be many aging out of their families not just Gentaro. Or bring over Annie (Shabani group) for Gentaro to start a family. It will be a shame not to see th3 children.
@@mapalieymartin3171 I'm sure it's not easy, but the new exhibits for Shabani & Ryu families were done to draw in more people. Maybe another zoo can follow those examples.
I fear it’s going to take them so long to finally do something permanent with gentaro that by the time they do kintaro will be in the same situation a few years later.
I think you are correct on that, Gentaro should have been moved a few years back even if it’s to the zoo he belongs to, kintaro belongs to this zoo I believe but I may be wrong , a bachelors group maybe the answer for a while but if he acts like he does to his dad he would be in big trouble in a bachelors group , I have seen some big fights in bachelors groups when they have one that is acting out, he will learn very fast to behave or get in trouble. I love Gentaro and think he is amazing, but he does act out I know it hormones but 3 or 4 silver backs in a group and one starts acting out they learn very quick to behave .

No, there are surrounded by walls. Only keepers can see what it is like.

It is not located in a basement. It is an outside space. Right next to the current enclosure but it can't seen by visitors.

They will not be separeted for ever. Everything depends on how the relationship between Momotaro and Gentaro is going on in the near futuer.

There needs to be a new exhibit maybe for bachelor's group, there will be many aging out of their families not just Gentaro. Or bring over Annie (Shabani group) for Gentaro to start a family. It will be a shame not to see th3 children.

I think you are correct on that, Gentaro should have been moved a few years back even if it’s to the zoo he belongs to, kintaro belongs to this zoo I believe but I may be wrong , a bachelors group maybe the answer for a while but if he acts like he does to his dad he would be in big trouble in a bachelors group , I have seen some big fights in bachelors groups when they have one that is acting out, he will learn very fast to behave or get in trouble. I love Gentaro and think he is amazing, but he does act out I know it hormones but 3 or 4 silver backs in a group and one starts acting out they learn very quick to behave .
