The ignorant people who mock this caring brilliant man. He does not have to submit himself to your insults. He subjects himself to your abuse for a higher purpose. That just one of us can be educated, rescued from trauma and comforted by his sharing is all he wants. Thank you

Jordan Peterson is all about restoring family honesty in young men rather than family and social dysfunction that causes sadistic hedonism in young men and women 👍
He is one of the rare people that actually puts a lot weight and responsibility behind his words. Willingly making this choice too. I try my best to do something similar
He is wise. I am sure a lot of his wisdom is empirical but more important from Scriptures, especially Proverbs! “For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.” Proverbs 8:11

That’s how they like to work. They are usually weak and don’t respect honest face to face conflict/combat. so they will smile at you so they can attack you from your blindside (way worse than an honest enemy)

I take so long getting to know people Their real personality always reveals itself bit by bit, but it can take a few months. Rushing into relationships, is something I never understood. You never know who you're really talking to sometimes, and if you keep it surface level, zero intimacy, it's easy to run. Jordan's point about those types always in a rush, makes so much sense. Everything he says blows my mind. How he said that "fun guys," or short term ones are always in that dark triad?! Wow. People used to call me "prude" for not "hooking up" with people. I'm thankful now for my shyness. I also am really thinking about what he said about online trolls being psychopaths, like what?!!! I never considered that. Their comments are so cruel, but often thousands of likes. I guess subconsciously I thought, maybe they have a point. Now, I have another new perspective. I'm only 21:35 min in, I think this is my favorite interview of JBP so far...
Actually knowing someone takes at least 5 to 7 years, not months. You can see someone every single day and interact with them for 4-5 years and still not see their true nature.
As a teenager i was mocked and ridiculed for being shy and not wanting to have boyfriends. By my stepmother. Some women enable psycopaths. Or even are proxy ones.
I married the man Mr. Peterson just described, living with someone who intentionally wants to hurt people is a nightmare that never ends! Impossible to anticipate and impossible to get in front of. Terror and chaos are all there was. Lucky to survive it and it profoundly changes you.
Jordan's the first person I've heard explain this with the conviction and energy as if he went face to face with evil himself. No one understands the gravity of this abuse until they themselves have gone through it. You can explain events perfectly but you simply cannot relay in words the sheer brutality that is inflicted mentally and emotionally. The physical stuff meant nothing, It was actually a relief to be able to see proof through the bruises. But psychologically.. its a pit of hell I wouldn't wish upon anyone.
He is not only an academic but a certified psychiatrist who has been in professional practice for years. Obviously, he would've encountered all types of patients suffering from psycho pathologies and/or their victims.
He was a wonderful uni prof in Toronto. Then the Left "victim ideology; everyone gets a trophy" took over and trashed him and anyone who tried to stand up and say No. Government policy is to not hire white males or females unless no DEI hire is available. This was the beginnings of the agenda in mid 1990's, having worked in HR. JP stood up for boys and men, stood up for women and withstood Trudeau's contemptuous railroading. Trudeau has made Canada one big WEF testing ground and as a nation, we are lost, depressed and as poor as in the Great Depression. Things must change, and it starts with taking personal ownership of your actions, choosing to do the right thing over the easiest path.
I find it VERY sad that so many people now are not married. So many people not worthy of marriage. So many people not capable of maintaining healthy relationships. We need to change society. Starting with ourselves. Set an example.
Not getting married and having kids is God’s way of filtering. If you are such a selfish man that you can’t find a decent woman to try to make a happy family with, then make way for the babies of the men that aren’t that way. God wants us to be loving and multiply.
It’s a major, major problem with malevolent men being attracted to naive, immature young women. Not a good combination; that will result in failed and hurt people and impossible harm. Stay away from the dark tetrad or triad for that matter. Hell on Earth awaits you! Don’t enable the sadistic!
I've been watching Jordan peterson for years and I think this is one of the best interviews I've ever seen. Tremendous work, and I think there is incredible potential for future episodes. I would love to see a discussion about Western and Eastern religions in the next episode.
I do appreciate that but as a massive fan of Jordan, (and I’m guilty of this) he gets too excited about what he’s talking about and cuts the person off a little early.
It’s true. To trust others is a gift but when you find out everyone in your whole life prove to be dangerous to your wellbeing and an enemy you feel like you’re floating in space with no ceiling or floor. Struggling to figure out how to reassemble or reconstruct some kind of foundation but based on what? I can touch the table the table is real. I can meet a person and they are not as solid as a mere table. 😅
Jay is one of the few people that have stayed true to their roots regardless of material success. And that's why Krishna watches over you brother. Amazing to get Dr. Peterson's view on Gita, needed this today. Thank you!
I love me some Jordan Peterson and consider the day I discovered him to be one of the greatest days of my life. Has someone been talking shit about Mr. Peterson?! Why is it that I never catch shit talkers - Mr. Peterson’s or my own?! Probably b/c I stopped caring about people talking shit when spirit explained to me that I own all my shit talkers and should love and care for them with a heart full of gratitude for their service to me - b/c every minute they invest talking shit about me, thinking shit about me, wishing shit upon me - those are my minutes now, that energy invested is now my energy transmuted into positivity and reinvested in to me. Bothered?! By what?! My homegrown sky-high self-esteem?! No bother! I’ll take all the shit they wanna talk and what I don’t want to face alone, I’ll take straight to my Jesus (where I take all weighty things). I can’t emphasize enough what a positive impact JP has had on my life. Not only does he help me identify errors in thinking and their resulting behaviors, he teaches me how to correct them by appealing to my logical mind, which only responds to instruction after adequate explanation. Tell me how to make myself better and I’ll love you forever (but only if I consider you a high value person whose opinion matters to me - much like one Mr. Jordan Peterson). Thank you, Jay Shetty, for an illuminating podcast and for having the good sense to invite Jordan Peterson on your show! And, as always, Mr. Peterson, I’m so very grateful you’re just one click away with your no-nonsense logic and tender vulnerability; you, sir, and your willingness to share your gift of understanding the way humans operate, have changed the way I view life (once Hell-now a paradise to be appreciated and explored); the way I view others (once energy drainers now potential people of value to be appreciated and explored); but mostly, the way I view myself (no longer a duck but a powerhouse of positivity to be appreciated and explored). I pray God blesses both of you gentlemen mightily with the best of everything y’all need , most of what y’all want, and all that’s good and beneficial to y’all and your respective paths in life! ❤️
Mrs. Peterson is such a gentleman and truly incredible intellectual! It was pleasant to listen to him, so analytical jet he has sweet spot, always in touch with his emotions, respect ❤🙏
It’s one those times when the right words meet the right moment and the conversation feels completely personally relevant. I appreciate it! And I would absolutely enjoy another conversation between you both with stories of the East and West 🙏☀️
I think the argument that “Anonymity is necessary because in a tyrannical state only the anonymous can tell the truth” is a valid argument, an argument that shouldn’t be struck down just because a lot of people hide behind that anonymity to engage in questionable behavior. I think the real issue should be, “how do we create a place where anonymity can exist, and it isn’t utilized by unscrupulous actors?”
That argument for anonymity took for granted that ppl were inherently good in a time when integrity and a man's word was still worth something. Now? Now ppl are lying and acting for personal gain as the norm.
@ well, I’d say based on history, for anyone who cares to look, they’d find that since time in memorial a man’s word is worth nothing, it’s for this reason legal principles such as “the principle of Estoppel” was created. So there’s never been a time where people were inherently good.
Please, Jay, more guests like the brilliant and caring Jordan Peterson and less of these vapid Hollywood stars who preach one thing and do another. No one cares about Hollywood hypocrites, the tide is finally turning as we’re seeing the truth. Please more guests with actual substance, grit, character, and authenticity who are better able to guide us towards a bright future. Thank you!
A massive YES to this!! Very encouraging to see that people are slowly starting to realise how idolising Hollywood, a cult filled with perversions and contradictions, only leads to misery and weakness.
Jordan Peterson is in the habit of opening what appeared to be an interview with a lecture. He is preaching and the camera is his pulpit. I guess the best definition of Jordan Peterson is "televangelist".
He already knows what they’re going to say and it is neither enlightening or enriching, that’s why he cuts them off. It’s painful to have to sit through
Ive never clicked so fast on a Jordan video 😊❤ Edit: Ive listened to him numerous times explain the topics brought up here. And it never gets old, because hes bringing in important people from various perspectives and often asks them, what do you think about this? And seeing that unfold is a blessing to watch.
When you come out of the psychopaths grip and suddenly realize the depths of their depravity and even though they're gone they've left you with their darkest secrets playing out in your head as a constant reminder of their shadow that still haunts you inside your mind and your heart to the point your body starts deteriorating truly showing that you've been depleted and drained of your very essence and will to live.
I know some people dont like jordan p but he also puts out content that is very helpful and very true. So many people are using manipulation tatics, and the empaths ALWAYS fall prey. Get smart quick to protect yourself from insanity.
I'd encourage you to look up some of his critics - he has boilerplate advice that he doesn't follow himself, and much of what he says is just rambling nonsense. Look at the transcript - without his tone, he's saying nothing.
@@maggieholt6778 no human being ever has followed their own advice exactly, but he has trained in a professional where he has some relevant/helpful knowledge to share with a wider audience. Exciting video, A year ago I took the no contact route, well i wouldn't say it didnt go well, but i missed her and sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone and go for what you want, Without knowing and having a huge ego, we might actually miss out on our soul mate all in the name of not settling for less, I know who i am, and at the same time i know what i want for me, so i did all i could to get her back, and I must say, it was the best decision i have ever made, we have been together again for over 7 months, yes marriage isnt always rosey, but i am lucky to have her, just as she is to have me, we compliment each other.
its difficult to let go of someone you love, i am in a similar situation, and i do not know what else do to have her back, i have been dying inside, people actually think i am happy, i am not.
I feel your pain brother, after trying out the no contact experiment that failed miserably, i had to find other means, i had to reach out to a spiritual adviser, it was brilliant idea which i never thouht it was, but it worked wonders for me.
As a survivor of a Cluster🐝 personality, this is no joke. Run after the first lie no matter how small. If he puts hands on you in anger get out immediately 😢
It’s not a technical problem. I am not meeting Cluster B online - I am meeting them in the workplace, in the church, in the volunteer organisation, and amongst people marrying into the family.
This. Exactly this. Everywhere. Inside all your spaces. They are so parasitic Im thinking my own family is CLuster B when it may be their 'partners’.This is one is particularly insideous becasue I am watching my sibling turning into a shadow and when there is kids it is just awful. There seems to be no rights at all in law for us as relatives to protect them. You think ti is their own choice but it isnt they are robbed of choice and of perspective they are like hostages of the psycho partners. From there they try harm the whole family. Hidden behind a family member.
Recovered BPD here. Everything Jordan says about Cluster B’s is spot on. Interpersonal relations with Cluster B’s are dangerous waters for anybody to tread in…praise God for guiding me out of the shadows.
@@rossalinii9089 difficult for me to summarize in one comment, but I’d recommend to start by reading the Bible and the works of the early Church fathers. The Christian faith presents an opportunity for someone living a lifestyle of iniquity to repent, atone and receive forgiveness for their misdeeds. I have heard Jordan Peterson stress the need for a traumatized person to develop an objectively rigid sense of morals that can help them distinguish good from evil and evil from good. Christian morality offers these to all who are willing to put their faith into it, but I’ve found that it’s especially important for someone who has been deeply traumatized by malevolence (BPD develops from being abused/neglected by caregivers in childhood). People who meet the diagnostic criteria for BPD are unwilling to maintain stable relationships due to difficulties with emotional regulation and a deep fear of abandonment stemming from previous traumatic experiences. As a trauma response, they develop maladaptive habits like over the top, obsessive fawning and people pleasing/attention seeking behaviours as they require external sources of self esteem supply and become codependent to the people they form attachments to. Anyone who has these BPD traits (or has been in a relationship with someone else who has) knows from experience that this inevitably leads to the accumulation of resentment and eventually a rather tumultuous implosion that can end up traumatizing one or more parties involved. This is why the redeeming power of Christ’s sacrifice is vital for breaking these codependency patterns. He will never abandon His beloved children made in the image of God. All He asks for in return is for us to pick up our cross by putting our best foot forward everyday walking, talking, living and breathing the word and will of God. Instead of idealizing other people (who are also all flawed in their own ways) or looking to pleasure seeking vices that temporarily gratify the desires of the flesh, exercise your free will as an autonomous human individual to become a vessel of truth, light and purpose turn away from idolatry, sin and self contempt. Whenever you find yourself drifting, keep finding your way back to the straight and narrow path… no matter how many times it takes. Take stock of your blessings, no matter how small or how few of them you may feel like you have… make a habit of cherishing them and taking time to admire the beauty in the mundane aspects of everyday life… walks in the park, sunrises/sunsets, animals/wildlife, something that brought you joy when you were young… the more you do, the more you’ll notice God’s grace at work. May peace be with you.
@@HalfJapMarine what evidence have you to support this claim? I think you’re a great example of the envious spirit that Jay and Jordan discussed in their conversation. Likely a projection of your own inability to take self accountability for your cluster B behaviour. Be better.
I think the best thing to do with trolls is to completely ignore them. Most of the time they are attention seeking if you don't respond they get bored .
His views and just so bang on correct. How do I know…I’ve lived through what he talks about. This man is THE BEST I’ve heard on psychopaths and narcissists. ABSOLUTE BEST!
Ahhh amazing! Amazing conversation! Great questions! Very very interesting answers ! A lot to think about . It was a wonderful talk! Very enjoyable to watch. Jay Shetty podcasts are GOLD. He always navigates amazing conversations and always asks things that are super helpful. Loved it!!!
Spot on about the trolls, social media has become so toxic. I'm gald JBP recognizes that. Psychopathic folks shouldn't be given a platform, making social media require verification and be paid isn't a bad idea at all.
I just commented on the toxicity of social media. You seriously agree with Zuckerberg cashing in some more?!!! I wouldn't give him 1 red cent to scroll his data collection site. The day I'm expected to pay to be on social media is the day I say, "See ya, suckers!"👋
And a payment, even small, would have a connection to that account so trolls would be more traceable. I would pay a small payment yearly but not much to be honest as I don't have much. But I do think payment to have a solid connection with each user is a good idea.
Just when I feel I'm about to step off the cliff, the good doctor rescues me... this talk of an adventure in the midst of an imperfect world is so energizing and encouraging and wonderful and beautiful. Thank you sir. 🤗
Fully resonated with this amazing conversation on the podcast on life's biggest challenges & opportunities, recognising my call & turn failure into growth. Keep up the great work Jay 💪
"Most people who have PTSD don't have it because they were hurt, it's because they encountered someone who wanted to hurt them" 🤯. Then the question is "who is that someone"? Is it a person? A corporation? A company/Business? A supposed to be knowledgeable healthcare provider? Soo many possibilities come to mind after hearing that! Great podcast! 🙏
Take it as if who you put your trust in be it all the above you said also remember that not everyone carries your morals to the same degree so step with caution
Or a nation. Someone said it's a person and people. However, your question is valid because some institutions are a congregate of people with dark triad personalities. Think about how mobs behave. One organism combines to form a larger organism that behaves as if it's one.
Jordan talks about a lot of things about growing up, but he is addicted or has been to opioids, and has even been hospitalized. Saying that victims of psychopathic and narcissistic abuse are too dangerous is a generic statement. Imagine if someone who is the son of a narcissistic mother heard that, it is very unfair. I know there is some basis to what he says, but it becomes a fallacy.
What an incredible conversation. Jordan never disappoints. And Jay is a real natural at this. I think I first heard of Jay from Diary of CEO podcast. Which oddly enough, I’ve actually unsubscribed from now. In my experience, it just became so cheap & clickbaity in the past year? Did anyone else find this? But 2024 was definitely the year I found the people I really enjoy watching in this space. I really like Winston Marshall, Triggernometry, Andrew Gold (Heretics) & of course Jordan. I’m a huge Douglas Murray fan too. I also have a feeling Liam Tuffs podcast might be really successful. His video with Ezra Levant was excellent. In addition to unsubscribing from Diary of a CEO, I have also gone off Chris Williamson a bit this year. I must say, I don’t really understand why Chris Williamson & the Diary of a CEO have been as successful as they have? I have enjoyed some of Chris’s videos in the past, don’t get me wrong. But similarly to Stephen from Diary of a CEO, I don’t feel Chris adds much value to the conversations he has with his guests? Their videos have begun to feel more like a strict job interview than a thought provoking conversation? Chris also has had quite a lot of the same guests as Stephen. I also don’t feel they challenge their guests very much? And so, while Chris & Stephen often have high profile guests (due to the amount of subscribers they have) I often feel their videos are lacking in substance? It feels like there’s a disconnect? And despite their videos being very long a lot of the time -I don’t feel the conversations are very productive or reach much of a conclusion? It’s just all a bit bland & feels like only one person is contributing to the conversation (the guest) and the other person is just listening & very mute? I don’t find this with the Triggernometry boys for example, even though they have less subscribers. Maybe it’s because both Chris & Stephen began podcasting earlier, when there was a larger gap in the market for this category of podcasting (especially post-pandemic). So, maybe this meant they garnered an unusual amount of success quite quickly? But, in my opinion, they haven’t managed to maintain momentum (unlike others in the space, like Joe Rogan for example). With Joe, you can see there’s an authenticity there still & a genuine curiosity still. Whereas, Chris Williamson & The Diary of a CEO present as premium shows tech-wise & from a branding point of view, especially considering some of the guests they’ve had. However, the lack of depth & substance in their conversations make their podcasts feel less premium. I think that’s one of the reasons people love Jordan Peterson so much. He’s raw. He doesn’t pretend to be flawless. He’s been candid about his personal struggles in the past. Jordan is effortlessly captivating while somehow manages to be comforting at the same time. He wants to share his wisdom with others & learn from others too. I have never been bored by anything Jordan Peterson says or has written. He’s perfect for my adhd. And i’m a female who was diagnosed later in life. To me, Jordan is the creme de la creme of this new space. Which is probably why he gets hate. But he just gets better & better as time goes on. It’s really promising to see good men be rewarded for being good men again & finally getting the recognition they deserve. It’s also really encouraging to hear that Jordan has so many young male viewers & followers. Brilliant as always. Thanks Jay.
I knew this one was in the works after seeing your comment on Jordans post about his book on instagram a few months back. You both are some of my favorites in the mental health/psychological sphere of podcasts. Im genuinely glad this conversation happened, and it's a great episode! Thank you for all you do Jay. I hope you and Jordan can do another one of these in the future ❤
I have been watching your podcast for several years and its so enjoyable seeing you so relaxed and patient in your conversations on the podcast now. be the vessel and the conversations become so much more intense and detailed and not structured to fit a script. my props for this marvelous attitude and skill!!! You go boy ;)
I have been diagnosed BPD twice. It wasn't until I became a Christian that I finally changed. Now, 15 years later, I'm looking to go back to therapy because I know I can be better still. All hope should not be lost with BPD but caution should be taken.
Most people today don't care about moral, they like likable people. Being likable is what's being rewarded, not proving yourself as a moral or honorable person.
Enjoyable watch. Certainly some debatable ideas were shared by the guest, but enjoyable to see him talk about his perspective on the world. His voice and his facial expression make him appear sad or stressed, but he expresses a great deal of hope. It's very interesting to hear how he expresses his ideas.
When he mentioned people who are digitally anonymous, and who have names that are luciferian in nature, that they are major red flags- I thought oh shoot- that's me lol. I don't use my given name any more on social media, I use gamer my tag name, which happens to be REAPER lol. That's just the character, the warriors name that i have become known by. And using your real full name just puts you at more risk for targeted scams and harrassment. I wouldn't say the intentions behind these practices are at all nefarious, at least for me. Yet, it caught my attention lol. Oh,,, and I use lol all the time in my conversation. Nothing meant that's bad at all about it. Just kind of funny it seems like he was literally referring to my specific digital identity.
One of the most fascinating interviews I’ve ever listened to . Questions were excellent and petersons answers life changing THANKYOU I would add too many ads for me so a less amazing guest and I wouldn’t have lasted but really liked your interview style
His experiences with BPD were all COURT MANDATED. They didn't want to get better. I hope we can all use critical thinking skills and active listening. 🙏🏽
Kinda bothered that people with BPD are in the cluster B group, because they are capable of empathy. It's just that sometimes their emotions overwhelm them in a way that's uncontrollable. I have a personal belief that most people with BPD have a parent/s who's either a narcissist or sociopath. BPD is emotional disregulated.
Activism vs Civil Disobedience. Best take away. Please have him on again. It would be great to have a discussion on Hindi and Christian stories and values.
"Most people who have post traumatic stress disorder don't have it because they are hurt, they have it because they've encountered someone who wanted to hurt them."
🌸 it’s not pay or free, my cousin encountered same issues where you had to pay Sickos will pay, too addicted to what they do It’s anonymity that’s the issue, people say and do what they like when they think they are hidden and not known Everyone should have to verify their accounts and where they are from, also age & what sex born So grown men can’t pretend to be little girls etc, you get point People should be forced to use the real names etc, this way any complaints and bad behaviour They can be removed and they are not allowed to create multiple accounts, just one You will soon find them behaving much better
I’ll never understand why he is so controversial. He has helped millions of men including me and clearly just wants to help. P.s I disagree with him on plenty of stuff but don’t really find his views controversial.
It's the way he views and talks about women. Also because he says a lot of stuff that is problematic and unethical as a psychologist. Some of what he says is legit and some of it is untrue or unethical. I'm sure many folks have found some help and benefit in listening to him but they would probably find more help and benefit listening to someone else who is better at, more ethical with, and more qualified and skilled in actual psychology instead of self indulgent rambling and culture wars. Once you see him through the analysis of other psychologists it's hard to unsee the problems. If you don’t know much about the subject matter then he sounds like an "expert". Also he is dangerous because he has an agenda that includes discriminatory and hateful views toward large groups of people.
@@sundog5143correct. If you can stand listening for long enough, you see how he elongates and complicates topics that are in actual facts quite simplistic!

It’s true. To trust others is a gift but when you find out everyone in your whole life prove to be dangerous to your wellbeing and an enemy you feel like you’re floating in space with no ceiling or floor. I love me some Jordan Peterson and consider the day I discovered him to be one of the greatest days of my life. Has someone been talking shit about Mr. Peterson?! Why is it that I never catch shit talkers - Mr. Peterson’s or my own?! Probably b/c
I stopped caring about people talking shit when spirit explained to me that I own all my shit talkers and should love and care for them with a heart full of gratitude for their service to me - b/c every minute they invest talking shit about me, thinking shit about me, wishing shit upon me - those are my minutes now, that energy invested is now my energy transmuted into positivity and reinvested in to me. Bothered?! ❤️

Thank you!

Jordan is one of my favorite people. I just hate it when he cuts people off and doesn't let them finish what they were saying.
He already knows what they’re going to say and it is neither enlightening or enriching, that’s why he cuts them off. It’s painful to have to sit through
Ive never clicked so fast on a Jordan video 😊❤
Edit: Ive listened to him numerous times explain the topics brought up here.

Fill me in on what “cluster B” is. I’ve heard him say it a lot lately and I can’t make sense of it.

That's actually weird, because they're not that huge part of the population

May peace be with you.
that self-loathing. You haven't recovered at all.
Denial.

Sure, if paying got rid of ads and "algorithms".

It’s a person and people. All the other things are compromised of individual people … companies businesses etc

Thank you Jay & Jordan.
Thanks Jay.
I’m so grateful for these great lessons. 😊 I’ll try my best to improve my life with them.

It’s anonymity that’s the issue, people say and do what they like when they think they are hidden and not known
Everyone should have to verify their accounts and where they are from, also age & what sex born
So grown men can’t pretend to be little girls etc, you get point
