Killer Clowns from Outer Space scared us kids in the 80's. I was 8yrs of age probably in the 2nd or 3rd grade and the principle made announcements warning us to call the cops and not to approach any vans that were close to schools. We were told to go home straight after school. Clowns were an issue in the 80's, I miss the grand old days. I watched that move maybe 20+ times

no way ahaha! didnt know it was taken so seriously then! funny how we also had the 2016 clown sightings issue that blew up on the news and distressed schools the same way years later. :^)

@@saraarose Yup it all started from John Wayne Gacy who dressed as a killer clown and went on to murder children and adults in the 70's. We also had a few clown tv shows, toys, cereals, etc all centered around clowns. In the 80's circuses, amusement parks and any local fair was plagued with clowns. Aside from the whole John story most kids just thought clowns were either creepy of hilarious.

As someone who rarely watches movie i am so intrigued by almost all of these movies lol, tbh i always associate the horror genre with demonic possessions and gore, it is kinda new and refreshing to me (despite these movies being literally 40 years old lol) to see that there is so much more creativity within, and the focus is not on trynna scare the audience but actually give an interesting plotline and present interesting characters that are fitting with the time they came out and also somehow still live on. I dont like the excess focus on cinematic style in modern day cinema and actually find that to be the reason why i do not enjoy watching films they much, so ig dated cinematic styles would be more fun to watch, it looks more close to heart esp cause they look diy alot of the times.. great video! 🌠

why would you want to watch a horror movie in the 80s I would ask myself the actual reverse of that question why would you want to watch a horror movie that was made in the 2000s including the present time some of the best horror movies in the world are from the 80s.
a lot of horror movies made today are actually quite Bland in formulaic the vast majority ain't doing near as much controversial stuff as '80s movies did. somebody brainwashed this lady with the Communist Manifesto sad she doesn't have an original thought in her head and she doesn't even realize it.
