Mei's ability to wall off an enemy for execution is VERY strong when that one enemy can be the tank.
as a mei-onetrick 90% of all fights i contribute to consist of me just walling off the tank and then me and my tank doubling down on it. it is very good just remember she used to freeze normally without ult

I just got to Grandmaster DPS as a hitscan main last night and I ranked up to GM4 just now I’m glad my dedication is paying off I was stuck in Master 1-3 for a few months 😊

I grinded my way from silver to Plat 1....and now I deranked to Plat 4 and can't get out of it anymore... It's annoying :(

mei is so good, i don't usually have the most fun playing her but being solid close to mid range plus self healing PLUS the huge advantage of wall punishing overzealous enemies (or trolling teammates) makes her such a good pick in a ton of scenarios

I've had a great time in ranked lately. Previous seasons I'd often get impostor syndrome once I hit GM or t500, unsure if I really belong in that elo. But I think ever since I managed to get my least played role: tank, into t500 I just feel more well-rounded and more calm in every game on every role. I recommend, if you mostly just play one role, to branch out and try to find a hero and playstyle in the other roles that you can grind into higher ranks. It really opens the way in which you see the game, not to mention it can be a lot of fun.

I love playing mei, so much utility and versatility. She likes playing mostly brawl but she isn’t bad against tracer or ball and now that kiri isn’t in every game it’s free freezes baby

@@aymanopx7256 Honestly? Mei is way stronger than people think she is. Especially in an uncoordinated environment like solo queue.
Any other DPS targeting a tank is basically a waste of time. But Mei can straight up assassinate tanks with her wall.
She's also one of the only DPS characters with an extremely useful ult in team fights, that also isn't countered by barriers or walls.

Used to be Gold 3 in OW1 and my dps got hit with Bronze 5 at the beginning of season 1. Got super demotivated to play the role because my tank is already gold 3 and it’s my main role. Got out of bronze today. Gold tomorrow!
Mei seems ideal for tank mains to switch to. Her kit is good for making space
