      I love how it basically opens the hatch for you! ..before I had to struggle with 2 hands, and would freak out if someone tried to life it by the spoiler!

    Only bad thing is it might open the trunk if you hit a big pot hole and your trunk lock is worn out

    Where'd you get the fire extinguisher mount? the one on your strut brace

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  7 лет назад

      It has a metal wall mount, easy open bracket, that is meant to be screwed to a wall. I just used 6 extra thick heavy duty zip ties to attach it.

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  5 лет назад

      Its just a quick release wall mount unit, I used industrial Zip ties to mount it.

    You do know that you put the balls on the car first then you snap the support in. Smh, but nice car.

    I purchased these..but for some reason my hatch doesn't raise up like that..I know I have the high pressure ones..any ideas?

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  Год назад

      Hmm that’s odd, even with the heavy rubber spoiler my hatch still raises up almost by itself years later… did you go with a different supplier?

  • @KnineLiveZ

    That’s the best hatch/hood prop I’ve ever seen a z owner use hahahahaha

    I just change those on my car but they are not enough to lift it,I need another option to replace them

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  7 лет назад

      Not enough? did you get the Ultra High-Pressure replacements instead of the stock or high-pressure replacements? Name brand or Ebay knock offs? As you can see mine pops open even with the heavy urethane rubber spoiler on it.

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  5 лет назад

      Really? Did you get the extra lifting strength ones? Mine shoots up even with the heady rubber urethane spoiler on it.

  • @efjiongco

    These still work good?

    • @LivingTheGoodLife
      @LivingTheGoodLife  2 года назад

      Yes, they are still strong enough to lift the hatch by itself when I pull the release lever in the cockpit... At car shows I show people my "self lifting" hatch. At first they all thing its some fancy expensive kit, then they are amazed if I tell them it is due to replacement struts even at several years old now.
      Thank you for watching & Subscribing, good luck with your Z!
