If you've ever been on the internet you've seen people making complete fools out of themselves. Today is no different. A delusional TikTok-er has gone off the deep end and made several videos saying that "memorial day celebrates murder," and how she doesn't support the troops. One video she says ho she doesn't support the military, but the next says how she preaches empathy. Angry Drill SGT and Dirt Bag Private weigh in on this nut job.

As a conscript from Austria, I've gotten a newfound respect for the military. There's many aspects where laziness and incompetence streaks through it, but then I see officers and vice-officers taking care of armory, volunteering for boarder control and all these unliked works, and I feel glad to have been a cog in the machine (I was a desk jockey basically, but still as important as a recruit could be for the 6 months!).

Retired Air Force mechanic here, every time we would have to do small arms trng, we would joke about how if a day came where we had to put this trng to work in a war time situation, and we're not PJs or Combat Control, then A LOT of strategic fuck ups have occurred.

Censorship may not prevent you or I from remembering and talking about the situation and freedoms that we had years ago but it does prevent younger generations from experiencing it. They will have less free speech than we do because they wont even be able to form the idea of what it used to be like.

I use to work for a guy who's job it was during Vietnam to drive the barrels away from camp and burn them. Someone threw a can of hairspray in one. He is only about 5'4" tall so he wasn't fast enough to make it out the fallout zone. We aren't all trained killers but on rare occasions we sometimes wish we were
