Hey man I work for a Chevrolet dealer as a parts manager. Part shortages are a real big problem right now. And unfortunately until we stop outsourcing manufacturing to other countries it won’t get any better.
They outsource because it's cheaper. The cost to produce in the US or Canada would price the vehicles too high. The Maverick is made in Mexico because they pay workers much less.
I just sold my '21 Silverado RST back to the dealership due to my truck waiting on a fuel pump for over 2 months. Dealership provided me with a brand new '23 Silverado as a loaner and the fuel pump went out after a week. I have no faith in Chevys and considered myself a customer for life until their horrible customer service ruined that. I now have a RAM Laramie. It was cheaper and so far it is better than the Silverado in every aspect. Chevy better get their stuff together!
Every year, I have more and more respect for my now 23 year old dodge pick up. If I sold it today, it wouldn't be enough to afford a down payment on anything close to it new.
I learned my lesson when I bought and got totally screwed on a Focus. Ford knew there were issues with the trans and put it in production anyway. I went thru 4 transmissions in 3 years and traded it in for $500 when the warranty expired. It only had 60k and no dealer would offer more because they knew how much of a dumpster fire that car was. I'll never touch a Ford again.
My wife and I bought a 2012 Focus SE, same issue. It was in the shop so much because of the transmission shuttering or hesitating to shift. Ford kept replacing part after part to no avail, another problem would surface within 5-7k miles. We finally traded it off where we purchased it after the last repair was completed, we lucked out because they at least gave us payoff.
@@johnnydoe66 We were not that lucky. When the lawsuit was finalized, claims were based on lemon laws of the state it was purchased in. Even though the focus we bought was certified used, PA lemon laws only apply to new vehicles.
I had two Fiesta, a 2012 SE and a 2016 ST, both of which were fantastic. The Fiestas suffered from the same transmission issues as the Focuses, but since both of mine were manual transmissions, I never had any problems. I traded the first one for the second, which I miss dearly. Unfortunately, most cars don’t work well after getting wrapped around a tree. :(
I think its sad that the masses have been beat down so much that we can be content with a new vehicle that had a few problems. The manufacturer knows about the problems and is still making more without fixing the problems. Good enough is the new moto. 😅
I also have a 2022 Maverick. I bought the XLT with the 2.0L Ecoboost because I have to have AWD/4WD because of the snow where I live in the winter time. It has almost 20k miles on it now and that little thing does me wonders. I didn't get it with all the options, just what I needed. I love this little thing! I'm certainly glad I got one when I did because I don't see myself getting rid of the thing any time soon!

I have a 22 hybrid with 17k miles. I ordered it waited 10 months and even with the recall BS I still love it. The seats are very comfortable and it rides VERY nice, thats one of the best things about it.
A friend of mine used to be an engineer at a Toyota plant. He told me to wait to the fourth year of production as the bugs in manufacturing and assembly have been ironed out by then.
I feel the same way about my Maverick. I just brought it in to get a couple recalls taken care of and the check lite present. It was the heat exchanger. Fortunately they were able to repair it and I had it the next day.
I had my 1998 Toyota Sienna since new for 25 years (until it was totaled while parked by a step van), put on 180,000 miles and never once had the ‘check engine light’ go on. Also, not one recall.
I have almost 200K on my 1999. Runs like a top, no rust, original exhaust even. Replaced original struts recently and brakes. Sorry for your loss, look around, nice ones are still out there.
I've got a 22 XL Hybrid, I love it. I got lucky, didn't even have to order my Maverick. I was put on a waiting list at my local dealership, when a deal falls out they notify listed buyers. I didn't care for the markup, but after a short test drive I was ready to give up my 18 Colorado. After owning several makes and model vehicles, this one is my favorite, by far. I'm averaging 34 MPG, driving in normal mode most of the time. I don't drive much, have only logged 6175 miles in 17 months. Mavericks are fun to drive, and sweet on the wallet at the pump.
More reason to "wait" until the 2nd or 3rd Model Year after release. ALWAYS wait at least 1-3 years after a "New Model" is released, as this is always the "What did we do wrong" phase from the Manufacturer!

I love my 22 ford maverick (first batch) but within the first year of having it and not even having 3,000 miles on it I had the no start no crank issue which SUCKED cause it left me stranded at the gas station and had to call my stepson to jump it off so I could get it home so when I called my dealership they told me they couldn't get me in for about a month and wouldnt provide a rental so thankfully my hubby is super smart and hooked the jumpers from the front battery to the battery under the seat so we could drive it until we got it in so if u have that issue u could do that until getting into the shop. Also we have the conversion issue that once in a blue moon will do that stuttering thing so I let off the pedal and it stops but all in all I absolutely love my truck and well worth the $22,000 we paid for it🥰
Good review, thanks. I have the exact same vehicle (even the colour), never use Eco mode, and get up to 52 miles to the Imperial gallon, which is 43.3 mpg US. Except for occasional the slow-speed jerky braking which afflicts my Mav and, I gather, some others, it's the perfect vehicle for me -- great ride, handling, power and comfort. Love it.
How long have you had it and has it given any battery issues? Hearing about them online and not sure if it will be a problem. And how is the FWD in snow? I feel the RAV4 or Highlander hybrid’s AWD would be useful for that.
I ordered my Maverick last year and waiting. Downside to ford is they have a terrible reliability rating. They are really the only game in town when it comes to an affordable hybrid pickup. I think they were smart getting this truck on the market before everyone else.
Don't know about where you are, but around me there are a lot of low mileage used mavericks that aren't super overpriced if you consider dealer markups. Might be worth looking around some non-ford dealerships around your area to see if there are any trade in mavericks worth looking at
My check engine light has been nonsense September, I need a new heat exchanger, luckily mine is not leaking I can still drive it. Parts have been promised to arrive every month like clockwork and yet they don't show up. Ford has a problem with this part and is redesigning it, luckily mine wasn't leaking. Thanks Ford for making parts available!
I had sputtering issues like that. It took going back three different times before they were able to finally diagnose the issue as a faulty hybrid battery. First they thought it was ECM, then 12V battery, then finally hybrid battery. I had to wait three months for the battery, but there have been no issues since I got it installed. Good luck.
I never purchase the first year model. So I ordered and purchased the 23 maverick hybrid xlt for MSRP. I did not want to pay MSRP but the dealers would not sell under MSRP. I have been very lucky, trouble free, averaging 44-45 mpg, not bad at all. The fundamentals of this maverick is from Ford Escape hybrids which have been used as taxi cabs in San Francisco. With all the stop and go traffic, hills , the Ford Escape hybrid cab have done well. They are reliable and proven. Therefore, I took the plunge and so far so good.
I think the 2.0 liters Mavericks have proven to be a ton more reliable because the drivetrain especially the engine has been used for quite a while. It is a shame though there is no awd hybrid.
@michaelruiz995 The 2.0 was redesigned for 2015. I think it was 2018 that they fixed the coolant issues by increasing the distance between cylinders. They were too close. They've been much better since then.
I’ve had my 2023 maverick for one month and after 2000 miles I’m getting almost 45mpg. No problems with the infotainment center either. Toyota has problems with their trucks as well!
Ford's reliability is crap. I had a 2021 ranger and that thing was in the shop at least eight times in four months. Most of Ford's new lineup has had tons of recalls and quality control issues. I own a ridgeline now and I've had zero issues.
Ford Motor Company has issued a new recall for 125,322 model year 2020-2023 Ford Escape, 2022-2023 Ford Maverick and 2021-2023 Lincoln Corsair vehicles for a risk of fire due to engine failure.
I find it interesting that Ford can't keep up building the Maverick yet when they let the Ranger die on the vine with no improvements and then discontinued it they tried to convince buyers that there was no demand for a small truck and that buyers really wanted an F150. This puts that lie to rest.
It's not even that it's a first-year vehicle... I heard multiple stories about people with new diesel trucks (Ford, RAM, etc) and they get a warning on their display that it will enter Limp Mode in 200 miles (which is limited to 5 mph) if it's not serviced. So they go see the dealer and discover that the DEF pump or something emissions related has failed... but it's on national backorder so they're screwed. They now can't drive their truck. This happened to one guy who was in the middle of a trip, in the middle of nowhere. That is 100% total BS and unacceptable. It's also why I won't own a newer truck with the new emissions crap.
"Lets talk about that", "You know what time it is" ... I feel like I'm watching a GMM episode! :P Thanks for the video! I'm about to pull the trigger on a '24 XLT and I'm consuming as much negative feedback on the truck as possible, to get an idea of the issues to expect. I had a horrible horrible horrible experience with Ford about 15 years ago and swore I would never go back; but videos like these are giving me a glimpse of hope that the pros seem to outweigh the cons on the Maverick specifically.
Ironic how back in the day a check engine light wouldn’t even come on for something so insignificant but todays vehicles are so overly sensitive to anything not working 💯. An issue like that should be a soft code in the computer and not a cel. Some people really get freaked out by a cel light. Great little truck, can’t wait for mine to come in 😀 Hope you can get the part to have them fix it
“I wish it was a Toyota”. Lol. Me too. I have one on order. After 11 months I was notified it will be built in Sept. I hate that I am actually going to buy a Ford. And pay full price too. After my crappy 2011 mustang I promised my self I would never again buy a Ford. But no one else makes a cute little hybrid truck. Seriously. Come on Toyota. Smarten up
Just ordered my 2025 Maverick XLT FX4 Ecoboost in Green about a month ago. I'm really excited for mine to be here and will definitely be using it for MTBing with being a coach here in Arkansas for Nica.
I have a Toyota RAV4 that had a recall in December, 2023, for the passenger air bag that might not deploy. It is now September, 2024, and I still haven't been notified to bring it in. So, it is not just Ford that can't get parts.
I absolutely love my 2023 XLT Ford maverick hybrid, But driving home from the dealer which was 310 miles away. Yes, the dreaded check engine light came on. It’s good to know that most of the time it’s nothing really major. Yes I did trade in one of the most reliable cars on the planet. Drove 20,000 miles and never had any issues with this vehicle. And yes it was a Mazda.
I have a 2022 Xlt model. I also wish the eco setting would stay in the memory. I hate turning off the auto start Everytime I drive. Also my car play also acts up. Thanks for the hack tip! My truck recently stopped working! Would not start! Getting parking brake fault code. Dealership towed it in and ford fixed my truck citing it was related to the recall.
I went about 5 months with no parts just check engine, and even though they say its fine over extreme long periods of time its not great especially on certain things. Went and traded for tacoma because my local dealer always acts like its not a big deal and no updates ever. With a newborn and my wife riding in the passenger with improperly working airbags i couldnt take it anymore. Lost money on my investment with ford and will not make the mistake twice. Our other toyotas were bought high mileage and still no issues. So went and bought another brand new toyota and should be good for several decades. Ford what a joke , straight up mickey mouse cars.
Congrats on the 🌮!! I have an 08 Taco and a 99’ 100 series Land Cruiser. Never plan on selling either, but I will add to my yota fleet when I see deals pop up. My daily is an 05 Lexus Es330 that drives like new in 2023.
I like the radio station you have dialed in on your maverick , I listen to same station in Victoria BC. Nice review ! I’m still waiting for my xl hybrid ordered in April 2022 😊
They just added a 3rd recall for a battery cover! I have to get mine in for 3 more recalls. The best think I did was get the software update to fix the hard braking issue and low speeds. That make the truck so much bette to drive. TSB 22-2493 is the fix.
I’ve seen videos rumoring of a Toyota small truck that will rival the Maverick - so maybe you can have a first model year experience with that one too! 😀
The Lane Keeping Assist on my '21 Ranger is not that strong compared to the Subaru's and Toyota's I've tried. Josh, have you compared the Maverick LKA to other brands? I wonder if it's different the Ranger. I had a '99 base model Ranger for 22 years and upgraded to a new '21 Lariat Ranger, and I love it, but if they came out with plug-in hybrid all wheel drive Maverick I would trade in a heartbeat. Do you miss having all wheel drive in the Bellingham winters? I do notice the size difference from '99 to '21 Ranger, and would be happier with a compact truck. I love my wife's RAV-4 plug-in, maybe in the next few years someone will make one, other brands are going to fill that market need. I've seen rumors about other brands developing compact trucks: Toyota Stout, Subaru Baja, Chevy Montana, Jeep Comanche, Ram, Nissan.. The Hyundai Santa Cruz doesn't fit the bill. And who can afford a Rivian?
Ford is focused on sales and profit. Doesn't care about after a vehicle is sold. Took my 2016 Escape in for a coolant change (regular maintenance), another recall, and an odd noise at low speeds and was told I need a new engine because coolant was slightly low (engine never overheated) and a new transmission because of bearing noise. The bearing noise turned out to be a rusted out exhaust bracket that would hum at the right frequency and the coolant wasnt never checked during oil changes because a year later it hasnt budged. I also wouldnt call that a truck its a Ford Escape with a bed. A mini Ridgeline. The B2000, Ranger, S10 were smaller but actually trucks..
The problem with Ford is by not pushing product out the door through aggressive sales practices they have failed to match up well against the Hyundai Santa Cruz in same said market. Having said that being a Ford and not a Hyundai means Fords will still be bought no matter the issues. So far the only "clean" launch Ford has had after a great many the past 2 Years has been the pure BEV Ford Mustang. This should have been a huge win for Ford as true with the Ford Bronco instead Hyundai Kia continues to dominate North American sales and sales growth...all without price gouging their customers.
You should sell it to Carvana if you have another car. I have an older Honda CRV recently inherited, so sold my '22 XLT for 6k more than what I paid new 11 months ago. Planning on ordering '24 model when order bank opens in July, hope it takes less than last time to get it built.
That guy is a toxic spaz spewing what everyone already knows haha. And he's been shifting into politics as of late so is probably just going to be yet another right wing screwball "influencer" a year from now.
That radio bug will get worse. My regal had that same issue now it restarts every time you start the engine. Check engine light is not a good sign on a new vehicle. Get rid of it now.
I just noticed something weird about the inside. At 1:20 I noticed above the passenger door and the two rear seats, there is a Handle that people can grab, to help people with balance issues (such as seniors) in entering or exiting the vehicle. However I didn't see one over the Driver's Seat! Then at 6:30, it's confirmed.... there is no Handle over the driver's seat! That's annoying, as I have Left Leg Problems, so getting in and out is an issue.
Won't a check engine light prevent the car from passing an emissions inspection in many states? Which will result in a vehicle that's illegal to use until repaired?
33 MPG I’ve never gotten under 40 MPG. You must wind the crap out of it. Often times, I get 50 MPG on the back roads of Maine in summer & Florida in the winter.
I have a '24 EcoBoost. No problems except for a sometimes glitchy phone connection w entertainment system. I follow the Maverick Truck Club site and it seems the hybrids are fraught with problems. I didn't want a truck without AWD anyhow.
What part is causing the truck to shudder between Ice on and off/ electric - I've had that shudder for months and no one can tell me what it is? What did your mechanic find is the problem?
Toyota making a small hybrid truck could be a slam dunk, especially if it is AWD with a real auto transmission and be a piece of crap, struggles off road CVT.
Just build a unibody "truck" based on the RAV4 chassis with the 2.5L hybrid drivetrain out of the RAV4 hybrid and call it good. These trucklets don't really need off road capability beyond the typical crossovers that they're based on.
I’ve noticed when I put my maverick in eco it actually gets worse mileage. I’ll turn it on when moving on the highway and see it slowly start counting down
As of a few days ago ALL hybrid Mavericks are recalled due to possibility of catching on fire. No sale or deliver is allowed until they figure it out. I've got the '23 Ecoboost fx4 and love it.
Toyota keeps threatening to release a hybrid compact PU Truck. calling it the Hilux -like there was in the early 1970s back when Toyotas and Datsuns (Nissan) were small compacts. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
It does have issues if parts are breaking that soon and it's life. I want this truck but I'm hoping Honda Ford Toyota will release a competing product and then I'll switch in a heartbeat. Ford vehicles always have oddity problems.
I would cal another dealer if they don’t get back with you on a fix. I had that trouble with a dealer, but another one was much more responsive. I’m holding out for a small Toyota.
Demand dropped very rapidly. But, so did demand for Porsches and they were certainly the fresh hotness. Deflation is always more rapid than inflation. Under inflation, you buy now before it gets more expensive. Under deflation, you wait, because you assume the longer you wait the cheaper it gets. So when the great unwashed populace realizes at the same time that prices are dropping, they all snap their wallet shut, and purchases plummet.
Looks like car manufacturers are doing the same thing video game makers have been doing for years now. Next they will be telling you, "It isn't a bug, it's a feature."
I'm starting to think the Apple Play problem is with the iPhones. I have the problem in my Honda CR-V and have to do a reset every couple days. I hear so many complaints with many different cars and it's starting to look like it's the phones fault.
Ford dealerships are stuffed full of unsellable trucks and this one here says... "I see 2023's on the lots right now!" There's a TSUNAMI of them on dealer lots!
You seem to have a lot of knowledgeable about this. I just got mine. Weird question. Ever looked into removal of lower back seat cushion/frame. I never use it and would prefer a flat spot. Was thinking of a piece of plywood on top of the plastic tote/storage compartment. Any thoughts?

I have been very lucky, trouble free, averaging 44-45 mpg, not bad at all. The fundamentals of this maverick is from Ford Escape hybrids which have been used as taxi cabs in San Francisco. With all the stop and go traffic, hills , the Ford Escape hybrid cab have done well. They are reliable and proven. Therefore, I took the plunge and so far so good.
I think the 2.0 liters Mavericks have proven to be a ton more reliable because the drivetrain especially the engine has been used for quite a while.
It is a shame though there is no awd hybrid.
The hybrid has been around since about 2005, and the ecoboost since about 2010
@michaelruiz995 The 2.0 was redesigned for 2015. I think it was 2018 that they fixed the coolant issues by increasing the distance between cylinders. They were too close. They've been much better since then.
I have a 22 Bronco sport with a recall and I've been waiting for 3 months for the parts. PS I've gotten 33 mpg over the course of my 18k miles.
I like my ‘22 Lariat hybrid but dealing with Ford service dept. is a nightmare.
Ford Motor Company has issued a new recall for 125,322 model year 2020-2023 Ford Escape, 2022-2023 Ford Maverick and 2021-2023 Lincoln Corsair vehicles for a risk of fire due to engine failure.
"I go mountain biking all the time" (: we'd like to see some of that.
As expensive as these vehicles are now, it is unacceptable that consumers are Fords R&D department.
I find it interesting that Ford can't keep up building the Maverick yet when they let the Ranger die on the vine with no improvements and then discontinued it they tried to convince buyers that there was no demand for a small truck and that buyers really wanted an F150. This puts that lie to rest.
The ranger has BEEN back and they just released the 24 model which is mostly all new.
Get a gas engine then, the 7.3 in the super duties is a beast.
"Lets talk about that", "You know what time it is" ... I feel like I'm watching a GMM episode! :P
Thanks for the video!
Great little truck, can’t wait for mine to come in 😀
Hope you can get the part to have them fix it
“I wish it was a Toyota”. Lol.
Thats why I'm getting a 2024 Ford ranger with the 2.3L engine thats already been on the ranger for 5 years. Its a solid engine.
My f250 is a beast. No problems , it's a 2020 with the 7.3
The only car-buying advice my mama ever gave me was to never buy anything in its first model year. 🤷♂️
Toyota Stout 🤙
I just want daily mountain bike riding videos
I’m working on him. We actually shot a ride vlog but had some audio issues. It’s coming though!
@@middleagedmediocremountain4767 heck yeah
You may leave in the dealer for repair and they provide you a rental car, the way they will fix more early.
And you trade in your Toyota Tacoma for that's I rather take bad gas mileage for reliability.
Let's see...the last three months of 2023 Toyota recalled 2,000,000 vehicles. Doesn't sound reliable to me.
The Toyota stout is coming out in the next couple years to compete.
Not mine Still works just fine
The problem with Ford is by not pushing product out the door through aggressive sales practices they have failed to match up well against the Hyundai Santa Cruz in same said market. Having said that being a Ford and not a Hyundai means Fords will still be bought no matter the issues. So far the only "clean" launch Ford has had after a great many the past 2 Years has been the pure BEV Ford Mustang. This should have been a huge win for Ford as true with the Ford Bronco instead Hyundai Kia continues to dominate North American sales and sales growth...all without price gouging their customers.
Kia doesn't price gouge 😂😂😂😂🎉. Their telluride went from 34k to 45k in price in just a year plus market adjustment. Tell me that's not price gouging
You should sell it to Carvana if you have another car.
I have an older Honda CRV recently inherited, so sold my '22 XLT for 6k more than what I paid new 11 months ago.
Planning on ordering '24 model when order bank opens in July, hope it takes less than last time to get it built.
I own a 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat /w Luxury package. I paid MSRP...BUT waited 18 months to get the vehicle.
Need a part look in a salvage yard...Even new models will have a small % of vehicles totaled..
Simple listen to Scotty kilmer he says don't buy any new vehicles that are untested
That guy is a toxic spaz spewing what everyone already knows haha. And he's been shifting into politics as of late so is probably just going to be yet another right wing screwball "influencer" a year from now.
If you need Scotty for automotive advice, you shouldn't be in the market nor buy anything.
@@wilmarbarrick3194 if your ego requires you to buy a brand new vehicle you're probably a narcissist
Hopefully the Toyota Stout based on Rav4 hybrid becomes a reality. Good competition between Ford and Toyota.
2022 XL AWD just hit 6000 miles after 6 months with no issues here.
Check engine lights on no thanks 😮 Henry Ford definitely would not like the way his company is being run today 😢
Thank you for being honest
Yeah, I still haven’t been able to get the airbag issue fixed on my maverick
The drive mode and the auto start stop should have a memory and stay where you set it.
The More I Read And Hear THESE Trucks, I'm Sure Glad I Canceled My Order For One ! Waiting For The Offerings From Toyota And Subaru!
Don't live in a commie state that has inspections
33 MPG I’ve never gotten under 40 MPG. You must wind the crap out of it. Often times, I get 50 MPG on the back roads of Maine in summer & Florida in the winter.
I see Leer now makes a bed cap/topper for the Maverick. Looks very nice when installed.
I have a '24 EcoBoost. No problems except for a sometimes glitchy phone connection w entertainment system. I follow the Maverick Truck Club site and it seems the hybrids are fraught with problems.
I didn't want a truck without AWD anyhow.
I like the look of your tire and wheels, but do you think you lowered your MPG? What was your MPG before you changed your wheels?
Where did you get the single bike holder for the bed? That is what I want so the backup camera doesn't get covered.
Your execution is annoyingly perfect every time😂😂
Ford is KING when it comes to recalls!! Too bad they can't improve their build quality!! Of course "Made in Mexico" could be a contributing factor!!!
I have a '23 Hybrid Lariat and have NO RECALLS. 42+ MPG
No recalls on my 23 hybrid
Hey Ty I am still waiting for my airbags W.T.F. SINCE JUNE.
Toyota keeps threatening to release a hybrid compact PU Truck. calling it the Hilux -like there was in the early 1970s back when Toyotas and Datsuns (Nissan) were small compacts. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
i live in the foot hills of the Appellation mountains ,a little hilly, and get 51.6 mpg
They have them in stock on the lots now. I just bought one
It does have issues if parts are breaking that soon and it's life. I want this truck but I'm hoping Honda Ford Toyota will release a competing product and then I'll switch in a heartbeat. Ford vehicles always have oddity problems.
Waiting for the Toyota Stout
I would cal another dealer if they don’t get back with you on a fix. I had that trouble with a dealer, but another one was much more responsive. I’m holding out for a small Toyota.
Amazes me that people still buy Fords and still cry about them being broken. 🤦🏻
I feel like a check engine light is not a small issue but way to downplay it lol
I'm starting to think the Apple Play problem is with the iPhones. I have the problem in my Honda CR-V and have to do a reset every couple days. I hear so many complaints with many different cars and it's starting to look like it's the phones fault.
I see 2023's on the lots right now! Probably folks that changed their minds after ordering.
Ford dealerships are stuffed full of unsellable trucks and this one here says... "I see 2023's on the lots right now!" There's a TSUNAMI of them on dealer lots!
First year models always have issues. 1st world problems, am I right? Lol. Love the videos!
999.99 MPG @ 3:09 . You win the MPG game lol
How many times did you return the Tacoma to the dealer for check engine lights?
Wish it was 4WD and not AWD. Really only deal breaker as to why I would not buy one. Nice truck though
Oh how sweet it would be to have 34mph on average. My Tacoma is sitting pretty at about 13...... *cries*
While all infotainment systems in cars are awful, Ford has always been just a little more awful.
So the real question is, do you miss your Tacoma now considering your mechanical problems?
Outside of the mpg I think the Honda ridgeline is the best unibody truck. Why doesn't the maverick have a trunk like the Santa Cruz and Ridgeline?
My guess is cost and where the spare tire is located on the Maverick.
I'm really thinking about getting one in the future, how does it handle in the snow and rain?
You seem to have a lot of knowledgeable about this. I just got mine. Weird question. Ever looked into removal of lower back seat cushion/frame. I never use it and would prefer a flat spot. Was thinking of a piece of plywood on top of the plastic tote/storage compartment. Any thoughts?
