@christianmelly320 I had my conure over 22 years. He was always out with me, most every day. He was on my shoulder all the way to my mailbox when I lived in Florida, and that mailbox was at the far end of my apartment complex. About 1/4 mile away. When I lived in Michigan I used to let him fly off on his own. He would fly almost out of sight around evergreen trees I saw way off in the distance. I had him out with me ever since he was about 12 weeks old. One day, I had him out with me, and a noise scared him. He flew off and he was high up in a huge tree for hours. My ex-girlfriend finally got him to come down after waving a small bottle of cranberry juice. I never let him outside again. He passed 3 years ago. It was the most devastating experience of my life. There is a video online of a man who talks about his very large parrots he always let outside. They loved it, and his videos would show how they would all fly way off in the distance. One day, one of his parrots ran into the window of a building way off in the distance. He recovered his baby. He showed a short video of how the bird was very distraught and it had been screaming in distress for over 6 hours. He thought it might die, and it looked like it was very close to death. VERY SAD indeed. It doesn't matter how well trained they are. It's a risk, and it only takes ONE time. They trust us to keep them safe.
Zazu needs a harness even if you clip their wings they could grow it back without you noticing and then they’ll fly away to a tree to never be seen a gain so please by a harness for zazu we need zazu to stay with you!
Mine was named Chili. He passed away from grief when my cockatiel tragically passed. They were so bonded. Chili was also a talker. Of course, people should be aware that unless they are with you or a friend, their calls can shatter glass. Be aware of all behaviors these beautiful birds have and only puchase if you can commit to the care they deserve. This one looks very happy! 😊
That is Awesome, Sun's have a hard time talking because they don't have the same mechanics as other parrots. Sun's are also smarter than most small parrots, but they just don't talk much.
Yes, She is SUPER smart...but SUPER loud! These are birds you really need experience with. They are clingy, needy or attention, and poop a lot. The reward is that they are super loyal and affectionate!
@@nicolenarain3226 100% worth every poop 💩.. mine does not poop on me he flys to his bird playground and poops there.. my other pineapple poops in the litter box in the morning when she gets out of the cage... 😊
My sun conure just passed had him for 17 years since I was a kid woke up this morning changed his water and food he was fine when I came home he was just laying lifeless in the cage body was cold
It didn’t take very long, I think that either a bird is going to talk or it’s not. It is a lot of repetition, she also says a up-up, And makes the kiss kiss sound
@@nicolenarain3226 Yes, but… of all of the RUclips videos that claim talking Sun Conures yours is the first I’ve seen that spoke a clear word. My Sun Bob is three years old and he just knows “thank you” except it’s a lot louder than your Sun’s modulated tone. My Bob also talks gibberish under his breath. My GCC Bertie has been talking since he was six months old with a fair vocabulary now. Conures are just the best, aren’t they?
@@ChrisHyde537 I'm not sure if it makes a difference between male and female. From my personal experience the females are louder and more vocal. I work from home and talk to her constantly in a regular tone, no "baby talking". She also says hello when my phone rings...lol
@@nicolenarain3226 cute, she knows hello in context, I made the mistake of saying echo instead of hello when I seen my bird now he says his name for hello.
Agree! Maybe my Conure takes the little bus to school but, kinda doubt it. My girl shrikes to high heaven! Says maybe her name CONNIE ! but probably part of her normal squeak vocabulary.🤷♂️ Loving, affectionate, mean sometimes bird but real words….not so much.😎🙏🦜
Please watch she doesn’t get startled and fly off and be lost . So many birds are lost every year and never found . So heartbreaking 💔 . Beautiful Bird
My sun conure only says "heh", and "ok," regularly. She cursed at me twice, by saying "bitch, fuck you." To this day, I don't know where she learned that.
Simple answer...because I know what I'm doing, I know my bird, and because birds aren't hidden indoors in cages in their natural environment. Predators exist everywhere. I want my animals to live a natural and happy existance while still in "captivity". Birds should be able to fly, it is their "gift".
They are pretty loud right and therfore not suitable for a apartment right? What about green cheek conure? I want to get a bird. Maybe also a cockatiel. I want a intelligent one (the more intelligent the better) and a funny/friendly/social one that can be my friend. 🙂 Can anybody recommend me a bird species? 🙂🐦
any bird will be loud if it is not given enough attention and stimulation. From my experience, the males are not as loud, but my female as shown in this video is the only one that spoke so clearly. She would be VERY loud if she was not on my shoulder, as soon as she was on my shoulder, she would only make soft loving noises and speak her words....It's a huge commitment. it sounds great, but if you want some "personal space", be prepared for an unpleasant reaction from your feathered baby or any species!
I'm thinking about getting one I have a few questions if anyone knows are they easy to take care of and are they cheaper to take care of then a dog and should I get a little bird bath and a little heater cuz it can get a little cold where I live
My sun just screams very obnoxiously 😂
They do this when they need attention. Sun Conures are known as Velcro Birds. They NEED constant attention and companionship
@@nicolenarain3226 nahhh. They also scream just to socialize. Like a good morning.
More velociraptor birds than velcro 😂
It takes time like children. I recommend putting on learning kid shows when your not home they love it and learn
@@nicolenarain3226I give mine PLENTY of attention, he’s just greedy, he doesn’t speak as well as this one, could it be because he’s a guy?

My suncorner says okay with the same sound 😅
Same birds in my house
Too cute. First talking sun conure I've ever seen!
awwwww😊. wish mine was here. Fly high Gali, I’ll miss you 🕊️.
I wish mine was here too😢Goodbye Rio
The cute happy eyes and around the beak feather smiles!🧡💛❤I Love them!!
She's better at pronouncing her words than my sun conure, Elmo.
Suns & jendays are really great small parrots. They're only problem is their noise!
Yes...She is SUPER loud...I believe the famales are MUCH louder than the males from my experience.
My sun conure absolutely loves this video
I almost lost my conure this way. They count on us to keep them safe. A gorgeous bird!
What do you mean with "this way"?
@christianmelly320 Having them flighted and outside.
