I really enjoy seeing the real time situations you can come across with your van. I always appreciate your honest experiences. I hope you recover quickly from your sunburn Amanda! Stay safe the 3 of ya!
It’s always an experience in the van LOL dawg def problems, didn’t know that was a thing lol it took Amanda the whole weekend to feel better but she all good now! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
This is an accurate portrayal of the kind of stuff that happens *all the time* living in a van 😂 With two macbooks, two portable monitors, starlink, and simple meals (just boiling water in the morning and afternoon for oats/soups, and a quick single pot thing on the induction stove at night), we're able to work for maybe 3 days max without moving, and that's with an additional 1kWh portable battery that we charge while driving, and good sun exposure for solar. The Revel's power and water systems are really not ideal for long term life on the road unless you drive frequently, which is a shame since the layout is so great for two separate offices! (Canyon Adventure Vans GLSS under the bed, and driver's seat swiveled around.)
Yep it is! We don’t think people think it’s as hard as it is because other people make it look so easy but there are times it’s def not easy at all especially when everything falls apart like that day did lol we’ve looked into the GLSS but we use the back for all of our gear for adventures so we’re limited to the front or outside lol thanks for watching! 😊
Thanks for sharing your experience on battery management. For the coffee, one downside on doing something like the Maxwell House blue tubs is that they are ground for a standard automatic drip coffee maker. Picking up coffee from local roasters is great because you can get whole beans or ask them to grind it to the right coarseness specifically for a french press.
Sure thing! The batteries definitely can be a challenge we’re trying to figure out our best solution for what we’re going to need! That’s true we didn’t think of that! We did those grounds ourselves so they were coarser ground too. We’re excited to keep using it since it’s nice to try different coffee that’s not all these brand names! Thanks for watching 😊
Hi Ladies! Just ran across your channel (yay algorithm!) because I watch a few Vanlife/Nomadic life channels. (all Full-timers) Love seeing our community represented! As a current Sticks&Bricks gal, I have been watching several YT channels as my next stage in life I plan on moving into a used but good condition, Class C. I work from home now, so I figured I can work from pretty much anywhere as long as I have a connection. I've chosen a Class C only because I do tech support and that requires me to have two monitors for all our systems, so space is the major concern. I'm not as concerned about finding a "forever home" simply as I've done a LOT of moving around in my lifetime, now its more "Me Time." I've seen a few others with similar vans and have noticed there tends to be a lot of quirks with Mercedes Sprinter vans. Depending on the model/year and any weird Collabs (yes, there's even a Mercedes/Dodge/Freightliner collab van out there - Don't ask). Another reason why I'm shying away from vans. Although I am a huge coffee addict, have been my entire life. French press is a finesse that takes practice, so don't go hard on yourself. Typical pre-ground coffees aren't ground for French Press. Just as someone else pointed out. Getting local/regional roasts from roasters along the way will also allow you to experience other great coffees out there! Totally subscribed, love your vibe! Looking forward to watching as you two explore!
Yay! Welcome to the channel! We’re getting ready for a transition like that at the start of the year so we’re trying everything out now and seeing what we may need to adjust, even though we know it’s going to break out there too! LOL It’s definitely exciting for a change like what you planning too! We didn’t know the French press was such a thing but we love it so far and we ordered more whole beans to grind ourselves too! Thanks for watching! 😊
I just found this channel today. I’m doing the same thing, watching Van and RV travel videos to figure out which one I want to buy. I too work remotely and am ready to hit the road…affordable that is! Thanks for sharing about the free overnight stays at govt parks
Ladies!!! I love you but please let the coffee steep for five mins before pressing the plunger down, it extracts the oils and that gives you the tasty coffee flavor you’re looking for
We did let it steep we promise lol we just didn’t put that in the video don’t want to make it to long! It was really good coffee though! Thanks for watching! 😊
