In case you guys are wondering what the controversy was, it was mostly people complaining about Fatalis' Difficulty. Rants about things like the 30 mins not being enough time, and the fight being considered "artificial difficulty." It was a lot like the Alatreon Escaton Judgement controversy. That's why I didn't even bother with Fatalis until now.
I honestly didn't care about the time constraints I found it alot more of a adrenaline pumping fight I love this mainly because when u hunt him on your own the farther u get the more u realize u are becoming stronger and finding a good tactic I'll never forget the first time I killed him on my own it was one crazy time
Lets be honest ,every endgame Monster Had some controversy around it because some "pro" Players felt entilted to Beat it First try without any effort and got Mad that Capcom Just dropped a Big reality Check
I remember my first kill, it was using dual blades with seconds to spare. Literally fired a random ballista and got a lucky knock down then demon'd his head and got the kill. Jumped out of my seat when it died and it was midnight of the day he was released. Great video as usual Reaver! Love the reaction at the end aha!
I personally think that Capcom executed the fatalis Update perfectly . A super high diffuclty , yet fair Monster that lets you Proof that you are one of the best Players . But also at the Same time beeing a complettly optional Bossfight that everyone can decide to ignore or try at a later Point If they want to . It was exactly the Challenge that me and all the other peopel that Had very little difficulty with world and iceborne (besides Stuff Like alatreon ) were looking for and damn was it good . I will never forget my 7 hour Fight Marathon Till i got my First solo kill on Release night
Nah the problem with fatalis and alatreon is that the difficulty spike is huge, not only that but you also have raging brachi and furious raj at mr 24. Many people will decide to do these guys immediately and get absolutely smoked. A few people grind all the way to Mr 100 before they fight these guys which is a better progression path but the problem is you are wasting 100 hours into the game for very little output. I genuinely think the end game bosses should switch places with something like ruined nergigangte because I have absolutely no idea why he's up there, but at the same time if capcom removes the rank cap then there's literally no grind and people would of stopped playing very soon
@@ricecake3544 they Always add some random Monster to MR100 but Progression based alatreon and fatalis are locked , you need to Beat Safi to unlock alatreon and you need to Beat alatreon to unlock fatalis . Also afterall they are black dragons , so If they wouldn't have a crazy difficulty spike Something would be wrong
@@ricecake3544 but maybe thats Just my taste because i personally hate Rank locking , especially If all the hard and awesome Fights are Rank locked . Let the peopel face a Wall so they can decide for themself to either Grind for better Gear or face another Monster First (but thats Just my opinion ). Also they did make it very clear how hard alatreon and fatalis are going to be
The worst idea against Fatalis when you're alone is to: Use the cannon ! because you're dealing damage that doesn't break the head that's why Fat is so hard in phase 3 That was my main difficulty with Fat : Breaking the horn before he burn my ass.
I've beaten fatalis in iceborne 24 times, but only one of those I soloed. Soloung is so much harder imo, but I felt I had to, to prove myself. I soloed him in 27 minutes with gs. I switched between 2 or 3 different builds in between because of my strategy. can't belive you fanially did it tho, was beginning to wonder I'd have to pester you about it till the end of time XD
I still remember His Release , spent the whole night fighting him solo and finally got my First solo kill after 7 hours of fighting him in a row. Best Feeling ever
I still remember the day i started grinding it. A stranger was there in the lobby spamming fatalis and failing with me. Half a day passed, i got my first kill, then i proceed to farm him, still i was watching him failing over and over the next couple days. Felt kinda sad.
Ah yes I remember my first Fatalis kill. I farmed arch tempered velkana for frostcraft and made a crit draw build with -10 against fire but I beat him because I learned all his atack patterns and after this made his op switch axe and killed him once for every time I fainted because of him. This where good times when I had time to play a 8 hour session with my friend.
Nice job! I was adamant about getting it done and I won through sheer will after about 12 hours of grinding the fight over a week. Solo'ing the fight is a real feat, so congrats. (Ls main btw, ran full alatreon cause I wasn't hr100 yet and didn't have maxed armor or health augment so I wanted all the defence.)
I'll never forget when I first beat Fatalis. I was at a gaming cafe place down near my boyfriend's place. He and his friends were playing COD or something, and I took a break from playing with them to play a bit of Monster Hunter. I got in a quest, sent out the join request, and it just....went. I remember my heart literally started POUNDING when we got the second horn broken, we were so close...and then we killed it. My boyfriend still hasn't beat Fatalis. :)
Wait my man never killed fatty until now. Understandable I (a insect glaive main and introduced to monster hunter with the 3u demo and then properly in world) found he was a fair fight but took me about a year to kill. Its a similar story me and u. Struggling to kill it then kill it:) Well done I doubt u'll get the armor set tho. Well done I can't say it enough well done reaver Edit: it said I'll get the armor set but I did I meant u sorry for any confusion.
Wait what was the fatalis controversy, i didnt hear anything bad like what happened with alatreon Also the argument of theres nothing after It feels very weird to me, but to each theyr own
It wasnt as Big as alatreons controversy (Like how dare do they expect us to prepare for a endgame hunt XD ) but there was still a Ton of hate towads fatalis because of His difficulty and because Most people cant Accept that they are Not as good as they think they are and instead try to blame the Game for it . It will be the Same for sunbreak endgame

I just beat him for the first time today. I was so hyped. Then I ran it back 10 times after and never pulled it off again...
Man Fatalis was undoubtedly one of my favourite hunts in the entire franchise. I beat him with 6 seconds left 😂
I've just now beat fatalis after 20 odd failed attempts
You know a monster is hard if some people still haven’t beaten it even after a year of its release
There’s literally no better feeling killing Fatalis imo !!
can you other games like genshin impact
I still haven't sadge
wait what is the fatalis controversy?
It was mostly the argument people were having about difficulty. The same kind of argument that happened with Alatreon.
