It's the best arc of the show. Every arc after incrementally destroyed the world building and made the show more Konoha centric.

@@MichellBollinger it's the most logical take. All you simpletons associate Naruto's character progression with his power level. Naruto's actual character development only progressed in this arc. Afterwards Naruto has never changed. Naruto is a walking contradiction. everything he preached was proved wrong by his heritage, birth, and upbringing.
When animation makes you cry it's director and writers power of an another level

this is the moment i knew Naruto was awesome as an anime i was 14 when i watched this episode and it still hits hard.

I preferred the Chuunin Exams.
I like to think that Zabuza had a rough past that turned him cruel and made him lock his heart away until Naruto broke down said lock revealing that there is possibly more to him than we realize.
Basically. Zabuza was in hard denial because he fooled himself that he was an uncaring demon and that's what makes him strong. But as soon as he digests Haku's death, that he will never come back, that he actually would've wanted to see him grow up, Zabuza broke down but kept it inside. But Naruto kept pushing him to show it outside. I don't usually root for the Talk-no-Jutsu but this one is very nuanced and believable. i mean he grew up during the worst time for the mist village when it was called the blood mist village and the 4 mizukage was being controlled by Tobi and it said he had to kill other kids his age when he was a child for the blood mist village test so definitely messed him up
You know it's the best intro when it's been 16 years since I first saw it when I was 9 and I'm still crying with the same pain... 😢😢

Even when you do everything wrong in your life, when you make people suffer, when you can be the worst, you have a chance to redeem yourself and learn from the past. Zabuza was a demon his entire life, but died like an angel. 😢 I cry every time I watch this episode.

yeah but the conversations say otherwise and the story went to become DBZ and they all became like ultrainstinct goku. we know kakashi talks about zabuza that he killed the kage and we know kages are like top ninja of the clan. the show was supposed to be ninja show and manga but the fans demanded more and kishi just went with it and become dbz

That's line is so overated, if you think again, telling Naruto to stop is more makes sense here because the next of zabuza's monologue is him explaining more of haku's kind heart ness and suffering as if him want to tell Naruto that he knew it from the beginning. Saying metaphor like "word cut deeper than any blade" doesn't make any sense in this emotional stage.
Eng dub was so much better, “your words cut deep, deeper than any blade” the first talk no jutsu still the hardest hitting

Я человек который смотрел в Джетиксе озвучке 1й сезон, читаю английские сабы и понимаю что вообще не оч перевод. Может он правильный у них. Но То как перевели Джетикс .... я ревел.
Да и вообще флешбэки в разговоре плохо подходят под сабы. Не все. Там все довели до идеала. Пусть даже и перевод не оригинальный
