@@vanshraj2442 I meant Guy, i always confuse both Lee and Guy😅. I think it's simply a clash of styles, Guy can do exceptionally well against users who have low chakra reserve. The reason both Guy and Kisame seem kinda evenly matched is because both of them have huge chakra reserves and their water style vs taijutsu kinda cancel each other out, eventually I think Guy beats Kisame 8/10 times. I think Guy can do well against Itachi or sharingan users cuz he trained with kakashi, knows how sharingan users fight and knows all of their weaknesses. Itachi has low chakra reserves, which is a big drawback for sharingan which is chakra heavy. Also he's physically very weak, a single punch from 7th gate Guy can deal huge damage to Itachi. So i can say that 7/10 times Guy will beat Itachi.

Part of that threat he shows his strength by almost killing Kakashi easily. Then he confirms their suspicions about their organization Akatsuki and the fact that Naruto is their target and by that indirectly telling them that they are after the tailed beasts.
Fun fact: Although it is stated here that he made ANBU captain at 13, it is actually 12 if you read the LN. Danzo ane Hiruzen made the agreement to change Itachi's age so there won't be issues since it is unheard of that a 12 year old boy gets to be ANBU captain.
Whenever I watch Naruto back now knowing that until the end of the series there's nobody alive stronger than Guy. Like there you have him. That's the strongest guy in the verse.

@@Im_Not_For_Sale the fight doesn't get that far. People act like Guy walks around in 7 Gates, when realistically, he'd have to be pushed hard to do that. Well, if Itachi is fighting Guy, Itachi presumably wouldn't be fucking around, and he would likely use clones or other subtle genjutsu to bait him. Put simpler, he would kill him the first chance he could, or at least he'd try. He'd likely hold back a lot at first to prevent Guy from using the gates at all and then swoop in when he's not paying attention. Guy may have more physical power in 7 Gates, but he needs to get to that point first, he doesn't just see his opponent and go "Seventh gate open"

@@Im_Not_For_Sale the fight doesn't get that far. People act like Guy walks around in 7 Gates, when realistically, he'd have to be pushed hard to do that. Well, if Itachi is fighting Guy, Itachi presumably wouldn't be fucking around, and he would likely use clones or other subtle genjutsu to bait him. Put simpler, he would kill him the first chance he could, or at least he'd try. He'd likely hold back a lot at first to prevent Guy from using the gates at all and then swoop in when he's not paying attention. Guy may have more physical power in 7 Gates, but he needs to get to that point first, he doesn't just see his opponent and go "Seventh gate open"
