Thank you for sharing! 👍 Whilst the hauling /propelling steam locomotives had whistles, instead of whistles on the driving coaches some of the Southern Region's 1959-converted Maunsell pull-push sets were equipped with air horns.... 🤔 As an aside, the Southern Region's electric units started being changed from whistles to air horns in the early sixties; London Underground still uses whistles! 😉
Many really good ones on here. Personally, my favourite is the LMS standard "Stanier" hooter whistle, but on this video it's got to be the whistle on the red saddle tank hurrying along with the maroon coaching stock (I could be wrong but it looks like the Foxfield Railway).
I succeeded to read what there was on its right-hand side, The Steel Company of Wales Ltd. And so, found an info on the loco on the net. It's 0-6-0ST No. 'Vulcan' No.401 'Thomas Burt', built in 1950, North Tyneside Steam Railway. You are quite right, the loco has an outstanding "voice" :))
Alright let’s get this video started with the 7th part of the whistles
Nostalgia on steroids!! All the sounds of the past. Thank you
I always enjoy these complications, thanks for making them!
