I booked a caravan in 1998 at Kinloid near Back of Keppoch Airsaig and she went past yards away. Have to admit I didn't even know she exisited. I was just totally blown away. Later in the week we seen her in Mallaig and ran over with my 3 year old son to for a closer look only to have our ears blown off by the whistle. lol. Happy days. I couldn't immagine how amazing it would be to run up the coast aboard her during a spectacular sunset.
45407 a very suitable engine to tackle 'The Jacobite' incredible coverage of her working hard up this this stunning journey surrounded by beautiful scenery ,well done
"Please Use the Station Help Point for Train Information" says the very helpful and no doubt very expensive information display at Beasdale. That'll be the thing that's covered over with a plastic bag will it, Scotrail?
Hi there, would you be willing to allow us to use a brief excerpt of your footage for a music video - it is a cover of a Big Country song and in the original they had some footage of the train back in the 80S which we are trying to reference. We would credit you of course.
My God, she is a beaut! And it's so wonderful seeing her tackling that beautiful landscape with such ease, it actually brought tears to my eyes!

Nice to see it not disguised as something else. I love the shot of it departing Fort William at 4:20, with the steam billowing in the wind.

Where did that chime whsitle come from? Sounds very American. Is it the one that used to be on 76079?
AndreiTupolev it seems to do the rounds among those owned by Riley
Reminded me instantly of a Pennsylvania RR passenger whistle.
@@b3j8 Late reply, sounds like a PRR 3 chime
