If this is an opening date announcement, it'd be the coolest announcement I've ever seen.
There was a TRON section for the PeopleMover at Disneyland, so maybe your hope for that should not be dead yet, Dallin.

That could also be why the date was mentioned in the first place, due to that portion of the old PeopleMover
Between the Disneyland Resort and WDW, DLR has gotten all the Tron things. From the Peoplemover thru the World of Tron to ElecTRONica, DL NEEDS Tron. I think they agree too, and even know how it would fit.

I think the Disneyland date was just a helper clue to identify the fact that they are dates, much like the Magic Kingdom opening date it is something we are all familiar with so it helps us deduce the real meaning.
If you take off the first number in each of the areas separated by the commas, you'd get 3,12,23, so it could be March 12th instead.
At first I was thinking, where are they going to fit it at Disneyland? The only place I can think of, is if they take out the Carousel of Progress building, it hasn't been used for anything permanent for years!
Hollywoodland seems like a good option to me (maybe even rethemed to Start Industries).

The tweet itself "Need a Clu?", purposely spelled without the 'e', was also a nod to the movies. CLU aka Codified Likeness Utility which was Flynn's personal program on the Grid in both the original film and the sequel.
Well Disney owns The Simpsons and the told us what the 13th month is. So it will be opening up on Smarch 21, 2023.
I’m so happy you covered this! I’m a part of the Disney College Program for the coming spring and in our DCP 2023 group chat we were trying to figure it all out! We got all the same ones you did. As for the opening day for the ride, we’re all thinking it’ll be the 4/21 due to the cast member preview. Here’s hoping I can be a part of that!!

I'm pretty sure #8 is July 4th 1995-2004. Not entirely sure what exactly it means, the only thing that comes to mind is Disneyland's 40th-49th anniversary.
Even more of a stretch is that the LB stands for late birthday as if this is in reference to Tron being a late birthday gift for Magic Kingdom's 50th anniversary. Highly unlikely though.
I think April is correct! Can't wait - I was actually hoping that the 13 stood for 12 + 1 (January) but that was just wishful thinking!

It’s nuts that its taken them longer to build the Tron clone than it did to build the whole of Shanghai Disneyland which took 4 years

April would probably be their best bet for an opening right now- have stress tests with CMs and APs before Spring Break is in full swing, open something major to draw people back after the 50th finishes, and get something in MK as a ‘replacement’ for when Splash Mountain goes down end of January. Man I hope everything goes well, it’s been so long already.
Weird idea, what if each Tron ride was based on a different version of Tron? WDW, Shanghai, and DL(🤞🏻). Uprising, Legacy, and Classic Tron. If DLs Tron was based on Classic Tron I would die from happiness!

One idea I had for US and CM: what if they’re dates, but take them literally…
For example, 4/48/2023 doesn’t exist. But what if you kept counting after the 30th day of April until it would be the “48th?” That would be May 18th. Are they planning an announcement on May 18th?
Similarly, what if the “13th” month of 2023 is actually January of 2024? Making that day 1/21/2024. Maybe it’s what they’ll announce in May?

Obviously, the opening date is the 13 month in 2023 and Disneyland is getting a Tron inspired People-mover. A very slow version of Tron.

Putting the tron coaster into DL would be really neat- fits into the "what the 80's thought the future would be'" aesthetic for tomorrowland

How about Tron Light Cycle just after going past Space Mountain just after going through the Starcade, on what mobile passenger type vehicles???? Can we guess why that reference to Disneyland’s most iconic attraction in futuristic, yes that’s right you guessed it, the PeopleMove Tomorrowland!!!!!

The DL date is the opening day of DisneyLand itself in California.
I think it might even be January? 21? Why would they do this 3 months in advance. Cause it cant be 01, it wouldnt fit in the scoreboard. Ok the cm thing makes sense for 4...but they could have put it right after that if they wanted to keep it 04? Maybe the positions have meaning somehow? Disneyland has had tron attractions, including the peoplemover, I wouldn't read anything massive in it.
