  • Dr. Edith Eger is a Holocaust survivor, an author, a renowned therapist, and one of the most badass women I’ve ever interviewed.
In 1944, when she was just a teenager, Edith had been training to make the Hungarian Olympic Gymnastics Team when her family was forcefully sent to Auschwitz, one of the most infamous Nazi concentration camps in Poland.
Her experience there was both raw and heartbreaking, but Edith was able to survive. Today, she has helped thousands of people deal with their own trauma and grief to live life to its fullest potential.
I first heard Edith speak when I was in eighth grade, and she made a huge impression on me then. Two years ago she published The Choice, a book about her life, and I went to see her speak again at the local bookstore and was even more affected by her words.
An accomplished psychologist who still makes time to dance (she still finishes all of her speaking engagements with a high kick), Edith offers poignant advice on topics like perfectionism, dealing with trauma, the trap of comparison, time, and the power we all have to make choices that can set us free.
    Listen to this episode if:
You are going or have gone through a challenging time and want advice.
You think older people have a lot to teach us.
You want to hear from an awesome, empowered woman.

The most powerful thing that I have learnt from Dr. Eger (For I) is that, It's not what has happened to me, it's what DIDN'T happen to me. I must be an excellent parent to myself. And I shall accomplish this -Because of The Great Love I've always had for mankind regardless of the atrocities that have been committed against my people. Now I get to Grace myself, with the power of Love. Thank you momma Edith, its been a long time coming.

Dr. Edith Eger's sister's were mean and probably insecure to tell her she was ugly. She is so beautiful inside and out! She for sure made a better life for herself then her sisters. They are probably jealous of her. Rock-on Edith!! Poo on her sisters and mother!!

I would recommend for you to listen to the whole episode again, and realise that this wasn't the meaning of Edith's message... nobody is perfect, everyone can learn from past mistakes!
